I have an Asus RT-AC68U and the ExpressVPN firmware seems very barebones compared to the standard Asus firmware. are there any pans to restore any of the functionality of the stock firmware, like the dual wan and usb modem functions.
Hi John, thank you very much for your feedback. We’ve added your request to our feature request list for consideration in the future versions of our product.
Hi , thank you for your feedback. You can use the usual cable that comes with the router as long as your device has a LAN port. Feel free to chat with us if you’re encountering any problems. www.expressvpn.com/support/
@@jainadamonk I actually abandoned any hope of using the Asus XT8 mesh WiFi routers. In one month, they crashed almost every other day. Most of the time, they were not recognized by the Asus App. I had one hub and two satellites and the satellites constantly stopped working and dropped off the app completely. They constantly needed to be either re-booted or a factory reset. I will NEVER by an Asus product again...they were absolute shite and the company just jerked me around. 700€ to the rubbish bin. So...no.
I see this video is over 2 years old. Surely the list of routers that will load the firmware should be much longer?????
Is there a way to also be able to use the mesh capability with ExpressVPN on the router?

Do you have this for the ROG GT-AX11000
For that model, you have to do it manual. . . I know because I did it, have the same router.

@@ppinojmns i also wanna know how, please
This did not work for me. I think I have a brick router now.
Oh no... I don't know why they make us go through upgrading firmware.. There's lots of things can go wrong when you mess with the firmware
Has anyone installed ExpressVPN on an Asus XT8 Router?
