Ontario Canada is where we live. Gets pretty cold here in the winter weather months. More than ever now and in the near futures I expect major power and internet disruptions and complete outages. I'm 62 and raising 2 grandchildren, 7 and 9 and always looking for ways to keep warm and cook meals etc with a power supply or source. I love your show and I can sure that my grandchildren will enjoy watching them with me to, and possibly on there own to. We are going to go to the depot and buy some materials for some of these projects and give them a try. Should bring us even closer together as a family I'm sure. Gas and propane will surely be tough to get when the power grid goes down and will have to be used sparingly. Also looking at wind, solar, best life and longevity battery storage systems and inclination for RV and small cabins etc. Love your show and looking forward to watching regularly. Keep up the good work. My children will also enjoy seeing your children doing these projects with you too and we will all learn new techniques together and prosper from this new found knowledge that we will work on together. We still Camp for 2 to 3 weeks out the year to so this cook stove will be great for heating hot water for the morning coffee, and oatmeal etc as well as a hot breakfast eggs, bacon, toast and other warm meals through the day without using a large amount of wood and dealing with a lot of unnecessary smoke before the nightly Campfire etc. Also looking forward to trying your home heating techniques with a CO2 sensor to see how warm we can heat a moderate sized room and RV that we may have to heat during a power out and camping in the winter to. Looking forward to watching more videos with my family and trying out your ideas. Thanks again and bye for now.

Being a guy who keeps fishing and small game abilities on hand, this is a great way to keep great protein and warmth.
I made a modified version with coiled copper tubing and a small water pump, so we also generate hot water on demand while cooking.

Saw this again and planning to get the twenty one bricks in the building supply area and a ,18×18 paver, screen for fire, metal rack to cook, different direction on bricks. Cool down heat with a draft item, cut 1/2 brick for corners. Five layer high for smoke control. I'll need to keep in car since I live upstairs in apt. Great idea to ration propane and use stove instead. Use when no other options are available and you're in town. We can find sticks and stuff in central Oregon high desert. Our landlord wouldn't approve, of course but Shtf things will change. People will want to cook fresh foods for some meals. not just canned or dehydrated. Bodies need freshly cooked food for higher nutrition. Good instructions and I think bricks are my first choice above cinder blocks. Boys did great ☺️

Make a cloth sack (like a shoe sack..glue the cloth edges if you don't sew) with a pull string for each brick, so if you lack power, you can take a brick or two to bed with you as a bed warmer. Build the stove, cook the meal, put the Warm brick in the sack (to avoid soot damage) and stay warm all night. You Will have to rebuild it but in the cold it's sooo worth it 😊 .

Northern Saskatchewan, Canada. It’s cold AF here and my house is fully run on electricity. So your channel is super helpful for learning some skills that I lack when it comes to survival. Im originally from Mexico City and I have so little skills that I have never swung an axe, let alone make a fire.

This is only the second video I've seen on this channel. I'm loving your dedicated crew. So awesome.
Combined with a thermal pot or a dutch oven in a hay box and you can really cook well on one tenth the cooking fuel.
