William Kennedy, Hunter S. Thompson Talk About Their Friendship

In 1997 Hunter S. Thompson visited the New York State Writers Institute and he and William Kennedy discussed their friendship, which started with a pair of nasty letters they read to each other in this video. The first clip (of Kennedy talking about his time in Puerto Rico) was added to provide context. This video was edited by John Warren and shown at a William Kennedy "This Is Your Life" event in Page Hall, SUNY Albany, in the Spring of 2018.
