Dont forget mostly every disney movie has this thing where the main character gets mad at there partner and they split and find some way again to succeed and they make up again for it

Gabuu Gone yeah it’s a very common trope. They think it’s some big commentary on the power of friendship but sometimes it’s just to manufacture cheap drama.

How the world changes in the movie...
Everyone at the beginning: not using magic at all
    One boy: uses some magic
Everyone at the end: uses magic again
And that dude seems to have gotten mildly more popular in school for kickstarting such a big cultural change.
And don't they have history books? I can turn a blind eye if it were just the pixies that didn't know they should be able to fly, but that in combination with the centaur cop scoffing at the statement of centaurs being able to run really fast makes me wonder about the education system of the established world. Like... Apparently DnD is accurately describing history... That... What...
And a nitpick of mine would be that not being able to lie is kind of a dumb catch for an illusion spell... Though, one could excuse that if one were to consider, that it's maybe like baby's first illusion spell or something.

Shadowrun RPG might be something you are looking for? The novel by Nigel Findley, 2 X S is ranked pretty high to introduce one into the Shadowrun genre. It is odd with how much people love the idea of magic and technology blends, that no really great movie stands out. I guess most folk get satisfied with sufficiently high enough technology to emulate the wonder of magic. I would like to see someone do a modern world based on magic without any technology. But I fear they would just make it a tongue in cheek comedy. Cloning, space travel, underwater breathing, regeneration, immortality, can all be achieved by saying future science just as easily as spells. *shrugs* I love hard sci fi, high fantasy, space operas, sword & sorcery and westerns, so my fixes are easily satisfied in most mediums. Of course, taking any of those and wrapping them up inside a mystery novel...that one is harder to do well, but that is my true love. :) Larry Niven and Jack Vance are the ones to satisfy that itch for me.*sighs*

Honestly I actually really liked this movie despite the copy paste plot. Love the universe and world, though I just wish they did more world building

I totally get the appeal of it. It’s simple and wholesome, just too derivative and lacking in some areas for my tastes

@@TheSpyV Yeah I really had a lot of the same gripes you pointed out in the video but at the same time it really hit home for me in certain areas. It could of been better in a lot of areas but I still feel it had a decent amount to offer. Also I'm glad I wasn't the only one that had an issue with the mermaid in a suburb or the sizing spell for the staff and cheeto lasting a lot longer than what was first shown
