🇭🇺 As an Estonian, I have always wanted to visit the country where our distant Finno-Ugric cousins are from. Hungary is a country related to no one in the area, with an unique culture, history and customs, and that's what we visit today! Hungary is best known for the Kingdom of Greater Hungary within Austria-Hungary, the meat soup Goulash, and the majestic capital of Budapest. All of it will be talked about in this video! This is part 6 of my trip around Southern, Central and Eastern Europe and the first of a 3-part mini-series on travelling back north from Serbia. Enjoy!

I lived in Estonia and it’s indeed easier somehow for them to pronounce hungarian words. (also for Finnish people) Maybe because even though we are very distantly related, there are some similarities in pronunciation.
I don’t wanna be rude but his accent kinda sounds russian. (Many russians live in Estonia) If that’s the case with him too then hats off for this hungarian pronunciation, because it was really good!

Not gonna lie, as a Hungarian I have to say, that your pronunciation is pretty good. Also that american statue is there, because that general stopped the Romanians from taking stuff from our museum (prob some other stuff too). I liked how you called slovakia by it's actual and true name at the end of the video FELVIDÉK.

I have a question for you, did you understand hungarian language(i mean, he is the most different language of finno-ungric group, am i right)?

There is a handful of shared basic vocabulary with regular sound correspondences but other than that they're their own thing
i remember i went to slovakia and we went to hungary also but it was for like a day and i dident see much but the hotel we where staying at was better than my actual home it looked good and i slept on the couch and whatch youtube on the tv for a while and its the only thing i can remember from hungary and slovakia is now my fav country it was so cool seeing the tall mountains as i live also live in estonia.
Felvidék is nice! I would recommend Kassa! Beautiful Hungarian city.
Do you know why Košice is so beautiful? Because even in 1890 (before Magyarization) only Slovaks and Germans lived there (50:50). A German writer (I forgot his name) who visited Košice at that time wrote that the reason why the city is so clean and beautiful is because there are no Hungarians living there. He liked the city very much. 😁
