Thank you Paul for the update. I'm very thankful that you and Mae are okay. Take care and God Bless you both.
Hell Paul, stay away from electricity when it’s down, people don’t understand just how dangerous down lines are. I was up with my wife she’s in Iloilo during the storm and safe, glad you are all ok. According to the storm maps your area got hit worse. With the kind of storm that went through, we need to appreciate our friends and loved ones are safe the materialistic things can be replaced.
You're lucky, we had an F4 tornado that stayed on the ground for 200+ miles from TN through KY, 70+ dead, 7 days into it, several cities and towns wiped out, pray 🙏 for those affected, much Love Michael
1000s homeless, my son-in-law has worked 7 days straight 16 hrs a day, trying to get power to those affected!
Biden is sending vaccines to help you out.
For some reason whoever is telling Biden what to do is really pushing these ineffective and dangerous shots.
I don't care what anybody says Paul. Those Filipinos are tough and you can't keep them down. God bless them.
We go from yesterday's chat with Mark to today's post typhoon survey. Quite the contrast and a nice reminder how fast things can take a turn. Looking forward to the next video on how/when services are restored and a bigger survey. 👍Please continue to exercise caution over content.
You've got a cacao tree in your yard. Have you ever harvested it? Made chocolate? That would be another interesting episode.
Glad you made it through unscathed. Still awaiting word from Tim K. Based on where they were, news could be very bad.
Glad you guys are ok!!
Haven't heard anything from our families in Argao/Cebu or Samar
Hoping everyone is OK!
same for me with family in Carcar, Cebu, which is near Argao. Not able to contact anyone yet.
@@davidfrese4975 globe is completely down I'm told, smart at around 20% power went out Thursday morning there, might take a day or two? CarCar Ace hardware My favorite place lol
Hopefully everyone ok the rest can be replaced 🙏
Glad to see you are all ok Paul. My families house in Cebu city received quite a bit of damage but everyone is alive and safe🤗
Good to see that you and Baby Mae are fine - what a pissa of a storm! Wonder what happens to all those downed trees ? It's not like you'll have a dry spell anytime soon where the bark/leaves can dry out! One of the differences of living in a tropical regional I suppose. Thank you for sharing! EW :)
They will make firewood with the trees. All the bamboo will be used also.
Can you run the AC from a wood fire??
Glad you guys are okay. I gotta tell ya, you got off lucky. I’ve seen a dozen videos. From Cebu to Surigao, not a tree standing. Cebu IT area hit hard. Roofs gone, new restaurants blown away. Be safe. Watch out for those lines. Some moron with the electric company might decide to power one up. Tell May to pull the leaves off that cacao tree, it will produce more pods. 😂 be safe
Well good day or good evening to you sir!
To you and to everybody on RUclips who is reading this I just came across your channel last night about the Philippines and I really enjoy this channel. I'm 55 years old and some point in time I want to leave out of Southern California here and live my days in another country. I always thought about the Philippines and a couple other places but since I came across your channel I can get a better insight on what the country is like and living and prices etc. So I really enjoy your channel I subscribed and I'm looking forward to many of your videos. I'm also going to catch up on some older videos that you've put out but I really enjoy once again this channel. I hope you're very happy there and to you and your lovely wife have a great day or great evening.
Glad you guys are OK and no possessions lost. Waiting to hear info from my wife’s village in Libagon, Southern Leyte where she grew up. No communications at this stage, so hoping all her rellies and friends there are OK in Nahaong. Fingers crossed for them
Still waiting for word on my wife's family in Sibonga, Cebu, Glad you and Baby Mae are ok.
I hope so too
Thank you Paul for the Typhoon update! Now I got the drift as it is similar to the one we experienced last year ( Typhoon Rolly) in Bacacay, Albay ( Bicol Region).. We were left without power for 92 days! Most of the electric poles and transformers were down! I made sure I had a lot of batteries for my flashlights and candles to keep our rooms lit up. We didn't have a generator at home but fortunately, our neighbor had one and he kept it running all day so he could help the community folks charge their phones and emergency lights for a small fee I think it was around P10 per phone. I used my spare phone to play FM Music all day which really was a blessing or else it was really depressing to be without power!
Good to know you guys are ok - devastating in other areas!
How about helping your neighbours they help you ?
You need to drop that camera, grab a rake and get to work bruh 😆
Hi Paul. Thanks for posting. Cindy and I were worried about you and Mae and some other folks that we follow who live on Bohol. Its great that you both are doing well.
Happy to hear you fared pretty well. So long as nobody gets hurt, everything else can be repaired. Take care of yourselves. EDIT: I'm thinking having a solar generator might be handy when I finally get over there. Stay safe!
Hi Paul! I'm very pleased to see that typhoon was not so intense and dangerous as the lasts ones was. This is my first commentary on your RUclips account. By chance I've found your account and subscribed. It is so curious you're living in a city named as the city where I'm living and I'm sure it gave the name there. It is also, for me, awesome, you've found the Latino Restaurant owned by a Spanish man of Catalan origin. I wish I could at least for a pair of weeks, go there and meet with you to share and thank you for your dedication to getting to know the authentic Philippines. ATB. Gabriel.
Nit bad WTF 100S have died with this typhoon
@@mikkie505050 At those hours we here in the other side of the planet hadn't enough info, but Rai with over 200 people died compared to more tha 10000 due to Hayan (Yolanda) it is true what I said. This one was not so intense than others. My condolences to those who have lost their family, friends, acquaintances and/or belongings.
Happy to see you kids are safe , have you heard from Bud , Mark , or any of the bros ? Watch those leaves on the street are slicker than snot ! Saw on news a lot of areas really got hammered hard, hope they get your power back quick 👍😎
Wish I could hand him my battery chainsaw....quiet and no fumes...they cut well nowadays! Glad you both are safe as well as your neighbors. Always a good time for a pastry snack.
Beautiful Lush area there- agree, risk vs reward....looks slick on those fallen leaves.
Happy to see you survived the catastrophic typhoon
Why don't you give your woman the camera and help your neighbors clean that shit up?
I was thinking the same show who he is a shit bag .
How do you know what I did after the video ended?
Just got an email back form Bud Brown. He has no electric or internet. He found a place that had both electric and internet in town. Have not heard anything from Rod and Maribel yet. Nothing heard from anyone in Bohol. Hope all the other expats are ok in Dumaguete.
Going to be difficult, to restore the power grid,,Not like here in Florida,Phillipines,is going to need outside resources to restore power,
Geo ( in ph) was told power would be out for 1 month in cebu,( per vlog)? anyways thanks for the update!!ps bohol looked very sad!!
Glad you are both okay. And yup, still going to the Phillipines. Worth the risk.
Your HOA fees must cover tree removal? Ha ha lol //. I’d live there if every time there is a storm the Nieghbor’s all clean the debris up for me .. sweet
Good report, Paul. And many thanks for pointing out the bounceback spirit of your Filipino neighbors... 😃 ...A lot of them will probably work through the weekend with minimal sleep...
A lot of sexpats now would think twice before moving to the Philippines
Good to see you and baby mae are ok. Thanks for the video update, I'm hoping to hear from the other you tubers around the Philippines so we can see they're ok too. Stay safe and hopefully see you again soon.
Jon
hello good morning Lek Buzzy thank you and thank you for watching daddy Paul channel godbless you
I was hoping you shot footage while typhoon was screaming through your yard.
Well get sm rest Paul, thank God it is over. Now just clean up time. 🙏
WOW! Looks like it was a bad one. Must have been a nerve shaking night. Did you film the typhoon live? Nice video glad all are safe.
Been through 6 super typhoons and the days or months after the storm can be a pain in the arse; no power and no water. Get a hotel room with good ac for a few days if it takes a while for power to go back o
I wouldn't be able to standby and not work in that situation. Throw me a machete and let me get after it.
happy to see you and bay mae are alright i will keep all of you in my prayers it looks like a war zone if you decide to collect any money to help the people around you i will be glad to donate be careful and stay safe MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Good to hear that you two are ok. I hope that you have a generator or battery operated fans? A power inverter with big marine batteries will help with small electrical devices; fans, phones, lights and maybe a small fridge
You are both safe! Got to say, what an incredible people! Devastation and they just go to work. (That chainsaw could use a catalytic converter.) :)
I couldn't believe how much damage was done to the inner parts of the island. This was my 1st typhoon, and I honestly didn't think it would reach so deep into the province and mountain area's. No one was safe! 😰
I was wondering. and am glad you did okay. Cat 5. Wow.
They ain’t waitin on FEMA to come bail them out.

Let Mae drive the bike.
Be careful driving on those roads covered in leaves like that Paul. It will be like glass.

Keeping your sense of humour is so important.
Sana iyong electricity at internet are back malapit.
Great video. 🤗🤗
"We'll send you a smoke signal"... hahahah... she don't know about smoke signal. My wife said, what?
Stay safe, conserve food, water, supplies, & gasoline. You might run into shortages.
My daughter in law is Stranded ... I will text you the situation....
Thanks Paul
Glad you place came out unscathed Paul, but I feel bad for poor baby Mae. She's worked so hard trying to grow peanuts and something always destroys them lol. As always may God bless and keep the two of you.
The main thing is you two are safe.
Hi Paul and Mae.. Looks like your house is well constructed to survive the typhoon 🌀🌀 You and Mae would be great reporters for the Phillipines Weather Channel.. Stay safe..
glad you all are safe. Looks like climate change is no joke.....we're having massive tornadoes here in the USA...in december (never heard of tornadoes in the winter before).
First time message here, Paul...and I'm glad you and Baby Mae are alive and O.K.!
Good nobody got hurt Paul. Yeah bloody Typhoons, very unusual that Valencia gets hit. Normally its Leyte or Luzon.
Is there a western type house there for rent for $200 a month? A 1bdrm atleast. 2Bdrm will be awesome for $200-$250 a month. The place will only be for me and my fiancee…
Hit me up if there is!!!!
Thank you
Good day! The damage of the typhoon as shown by your video is nothing compared to what happened in Eastern Visayas (Samar &Leyte).on November 08, 2013
Glad you two are ok and safe Paul God bless stay safe
Glad to see that you guys are okay, the best thing about all this is that you and baby may have each other and that's what makes going anything through like that possible, on the Carolina country boy x bull riding cowboy and I was raised the woman owns the house she wrote The roost she does whatever she needs to do and baby May is doing just that and the best part is well, the cute thing is the traditional passing of the wallet LOL you're good man
COnsidering all the brownouts you have on nice days , I am shocked that you were able to get this video up on RUclips !!!! ????
My Filipina gf lives in Mandaue and last text was roof broken. Nothing else came through with power down.
Thank Heaven No Serious Injuries in the Area. Thank Heaven you and Mae are ok.
Sad , what Nature Can and Has Done .
I have Personally Seen Videos of Other Islands, other Cities, and it Makes you want to Cry for the People there .
I certainly pray the Philippine Government ,And Other Nations Step in Quickly .
I wonder if a tree landed on your neighbors blasted karaoke machine? Glad you survived.
Well Paul count your blessings bro. God sure looked out for you & Baby Mae.
Thank God

Just a tip. be careful on your scooter. braking on top of all those wet leaves in the road is about the same as breaking on ice. you'll slide like a hockey puck. glad 2 c you're safe.
Love your character 'Old Dog'.So easy going like most of us in Australia.🙂
Last typhoon I was in three doctors prior said to my face, in good English, my exwife will never conceive.
Saw a lot of damage that night/ Next morning but got graced by God just as I was trying to go home.
If you are planning to go to Asian, plan for banking, phone and Typhoons.
Truth.
