Wowww....very neatly explained. You and the idlis both are soft soft. Thank you so much. Well presented. So that means we can grind the rice as well. Few people had told me that we cannot grind rice and that's why I had dropped the idea of purchasing the wet grinder.

Very helpful review. I would suggest to soak the lentils and rice for at least 8 hours to make even more fluffy idlys and crispy dosas.

For better fermentation put cooked rice or flatten rice while grinding

Hii. . great videos.. can you pl make a video on how to clean the wet grinder start to end... starting right from transferring the batter to another pot ... to cleaning it. I have searched for many videos.. no body shows how to transfer and clean. Please make one. Worst is I do not have the batter cleaner attachment.:-(

I want to ask one thing it will take total approx 1.5 hours to grind the mixture...but in mixer it takes around 15 minutes hardly and the paste will be ready ...then why to use this ?

Using wet grinder the final product will be ground perfectly and quantity will be more compared to mixer grinder

Hi. I have the same wet grinder. It is working well but from last few times my batter doesn’t ferment and if it does it tastes bitter instead of sour. If I make the batter in mixer grinder using the same ingredients and proportion it ferments well and tastes nice too.
Would you mind helping me?? Why does this happen??

If you use idli ravva, then it will be more soft. And for 1 cup of urad dal you can add 2.5 to 4 cups of idli ravva.
