- In this video I clean up the dome entryway with nice tile. I attach the fly gallery, insulate the dome, render it, install vents, and finish the project. I’ve already mad a few pizzas, and they turned out great!

Thanks for the update! I can’t wait to see how the tile turns out with your attention to detail.
It would be a lot easier to apply the perlite/vermiculate render if you would install chicken wire at the top of the fire blankets. But still, you did a great job.
Thanks! Yea, you’re right re: chicken wire. But it really wasn’t too bad when I got the hang of it. And once that first layer was down, subsequent layers were easy. I should be tiling soon! Stay tuned! And please share and subscribe!
I've already watched over 50 videos on building ovens.
This is by far the best built, with refined technique and care in all stages.
Congratulations from Brazil!
Thanks! 👏👏
Wow. Thanks man! High praise. I’ll just re-emphasize that I’m not overly smart or skilled. Anyone can do this. It’s just time, planning, and spousal approval.
Well done, looks really good. Can’t wait to see what meals you make in that.
Well done, great job....i built something very similar a few years ago. Mine held heat as i used correct bricks and mortar as you have done....happy cooking.
Did you ever make a full Comprehensive materials/cost, steps list?? Otherwise your views are going to go way up, I’m going to have to watch them over and over while I do mine - great job !
Thanks! Yea, I’ve been dragging my feet on making a comprehensive list/plans. I’ll try and work on that this week. I want to get an email list going of amateur pizza chefs because I’ve got an amazing pizza peel design (which I went out and got a provisional patent for). It’s so simple and awesome. Can’t wait to show it to everyone! The oven plans will just be a freebie in exchange for emails. Stay tuned.
Gread build my friend. One question, where the hell did you find this base for the chimney? I was looking everywhere for something like that and I had no luck.
The flue gallery is a custom cast with embedded screws. Then I bolted this thing to it: “AllFuel HST Anchor Plate for 6"”
Why didn’t you use chicken wire on the ceramic blankets? Do you think that would have helped?
That might have helped a bit. I used some wire to hold it down, but not a whole chicken wire net.
One of the FornoBravo guys said I probably didnt need it.
I did recall you saying it was hard to get the mud to stick to the insulation....chicken wire really helps to overcome that....awesome job.
good question,
I had the same doubt about this.
Did you end up building the plans on Etsy?
No. I’m so sorry about the delays. I’m happy to share dimensions, Sketchup files, and even connect live to bounce ideas if you are building one. I’ve got another (pizza-related) project that’s taking my spare time. This one involves lawyers and patents! More on that soon… you guys are gonna love this.
