Jealoussss haha. I'll be there at the End of May again for more adventures, subscribe if you want to see more Maui viddies ;) Regardless, have an amazing time and share the Aloha!
Hi Loretta! 👋 I am right there with you, Maui is incredible… heck, Hawaii is incredible! I’m headed back end of May for more adventures, subscribe if you want to see another round of activities 😊 thanks for watching!
Wow, what a kind compliment! Thank you very much, and have a wonderful time in Maui... it's honestly impossible not too, and I guess you are there right now!? How is it? Anything fun to report about your first few days? snorkeling? Shave Ice?
@JacksonMeyer my wife and i spent the best time of our lives. We stayed in maui kai in west maui. The ocean was inches away from our balcony for 200$/ day (would recommend anyone to stay in this place). I used ur video as a guide for the whole trip and it didn't disappoint. I even followed the same order. We also went to the volcano and biked down. It was a great experience. Thank you for making our honeymoon remarkable. We will remember ur video every time we remember this trip🙏
Thanks for making a video that helped me decide to visit Maui. I appreciate you just talking fun adventure rather than selling things, even though I will be using a few tours etc.
Heck yeah! What a great comment, thank you - I appreciate it! Ironically, I am in Maui right now doing a bunch of excursions not to push or "sell them" but to show people them and let them decide what they should do. I'm really excited about this video and hope you check it out in a few weeks.
That’s awesome! I’m glad this was useful, I am headed back to Maui end of May and I’ll be doing a bunch more activities so I hope you’ll stick around to see that. Enjoy! I’d love to scuba in Maui 🤿
I am going in Sept, cannot wait! Never been to HI, we waffled between Oahu, Kauai and Maui. We decided on Maui despite some of the island being burned, I know there is a ton to see. Still looking at condos around the Wailea, Makena area. We can only stay 6 days, wish it was longer!
Amazing!! I just got back on Saturday ;) It is an amazing place, I hope my guide gave you some good things to do! I have an adventure/tour guide coming out later this month, would love it if you checked that out!
Oh, the weather will be AMAZING. Enjoy the heck out of it! I just posted another maui top 10 of the best adventures to do ;) If you are interested in tours.
We did some of these things in 2017 too. We had a hotel in Kaanapali, we did the Road to Hana (picked up fresh coconuts on the way there) and went up the Pipiwai trail, past the Banyon tree and through the atmospheric bamboo forest (which is breathtaking) to the Waimoku waterfall. Stopped twice on the road at the blowhole and at the Keanae lookout point. We were also on Haleakala and visited the impressive crater, unfortunately not at sunrise. We saw too late that you had to make a reservation there, but unfortunately it was fully booked. Were up there late morning. It was still an incredible sight. More or less at the foot of the mountain we visited the Ocean Vokda Farm. We visited Lahaina when it still existed. So sad that the beautiful place just disappeared, it was one of the coolest days ever. Went there in the great Coolcat Cafe and enjoyed delicious burgers and shakes. We then drove from there to Lanai for one day and visited the Cat Sanctuary. We were then also Iao Needle and a few more places. Maui has so much to offer that 2 weeks were unfortunately far too little. Thanks for upoad and for great memories🤙
Oh man, just reading your comment made me relive some of these things, Thanks! And I'm glad we had a lot of shared experiences! I'm heading back in a few weeks and doing a top 10 Adventures/charters/tours! I am so excited, there are a few that are absolutely so cool and cant wait to share the adventures. And maaaaan, Lahaina is so sad, I hope it's a unifying thing for the islands to come together and support the island, it's terrible to think about what that must have been like. So many people perished, so quickly. Terrible. But thankful we got to experience Lahaina in it's former glory.
What a fantastic video! Planning and saving for our trip to Maui. Would you say it is more expensive there than the Big Island? Thanks for your knowledge ❤
It is slightly more expensive just because it's more touristy, but there are local joints that don't have to be expensive. If you are in Ka'anapali, it's going to be expensive.
👋Hey Everyone! I appreciate you all showing this video so much love! Please click the like button above ^^ (it's a thumbs-up button), subscribe, leave a comment (I answer everyone) and turn on the bell notification to stay tuned in for more authentic travel videos from just a wanna-be RUclipsr! 😉 In all seriousness, thankyou for watching it really does mean a lot to me, I'm loving the journey; I'm headed back to Maui in May 2024 and have some more epic videos planned!
Thanks for the current scene. Wow, I lived on Old Crater Road in the mid '70's and would watch people in open air jeeps, tennis outfits, going up to the top of Haleakala and make bets on when they would turn around because at 10,000' it can be a bit chilly! There were never reservations to go anywhere. lol
Love your videos as we are set to see Maui next month! Quick question though, why is helicopter ride not part of your top things to do in Maui if I may ask? Have you done it and didn’t like it? Or it’s the cost? Cz I saw some videos and companies that does it and they all look amazing!
It's a great question! So i'm saving my helicopter ride for Kauai ;) I've heard great things about maui, but apparently its much better on Kauai. Also... the price, I'm a cheapskate - no I haven't done it. If you do, let me know the details!
thank you so much, I think Kihei is nice, or in Kapalua or Ka'anapali area. It's a rather small island, especially west Maui, you can sort of get anywhere in 20 minutes, I'd go for cheap housing and splurge on activities :)
Hi Jackson, F=Great video! My husband and i are going to Maui for the 1st time in June to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Cab you recommend a local tour company to take us around and introduce us to the island? We are staying in Papakea.
Thanks for the kind words! I hope your husband doesn't get lost in the beauty of Maui and forget about your anniversary celebration ;) I actually can't recommend a local tour company as I often have just used my friends or just talked to locals and explored it on my own, I'm sorry! You are going to love Maui!
I got 3 lbs of oyster sauce Poke when I was there last week... so freaking good! Costco, I wasn't a fan of their prices... honestly, Foodland is where it is at.
My gf and I couldn't get the reservation of Haleakala's sunrise, we planned for the sunset but we ended up arriving late like 1930 and it started to rain(u know, it's hawaii islands) when I was driving halfway up the mountain, and it felt like we were on the Mars on the top lol
@@JacksonMeyer ya, it was an unforgettable tourist experience in Maui and Oahu, we definitely loved it!😄 And I noticed that most western media and people who do introductions to Maui attractions do not mention the Sun Yat Sen (memorial) parks in Maui and other Hawaiian islands, may be you guys are not quite familiar with him, he was a Chinese revolutionary devoted his life and aimed at modernisation of China and people's liberation. Even if you don't agree with his political views and opinions, you would be moved by his dedication and great personalities! (Can find out more about Chinese civil war, KMT, Qing dynasty, Taiwan and stuff if interested 🤣) Even his main opposition - communist Chinese and Mao, also pay great respect to him.☮️🕊️
I hope Lahaina is recovering and that land and town is being rebuild by original owners and not allowed to be taken over by others, elete or corporate business.
Maui. Maui is great, Oahu is also, but Maui is special. It's a great jumping off point into Hawaii. Kauai is even more wild, and then big island is the most wild/rugged with not as much tourism. oahu is the main island, honolulu is huge and overwhelming and takes a while to find your own space.
Thank you so much. We just booked our trip to Maui last night. We’re staying up in Ka’anapali and we couldn’t be more excited. Love your channel, it’s helped a ton with our adventures. 🫶🏼🤙🏼
Hi Jackson, just wanted to let you know that the sunscreen you used in the first 30 seconds of your video is actually illegal in the County of Maui. They banned all petrochemical sunscreen products - sale and use.
Hi Craig, thanks for your comment - I believe that was a reef safe banana boat Sport… which doesnt contain oxybenzone… I know Hawaii has made changes… is it mineral only now?
Sounds like you will be arriving soon! Have an absolute blast and I have another maui video on some excursions and fun tours to do that you may want to check out ;) Honestly.... you can't have a bad time here, it's heaven!
Awww thank you so much, I am trying to stay encouraged and motivated, it’s certainly difficult sometimes, but your comments make it worth it! I’m headed back to Maui in May for more videos, subscribe to stay tuned, I appreciate it!
Yeah so you saw some of my video, it’s a narrow windy road, and the locals drive fast. Have a good sense of your cars edges/width so you know how much you can pull off. It’s an intense 4.5hour focused driving. I wouldn’t say it’s scary per-se but it can be intense. Have fun!
@@JacksonMeyer you can't go all the way around anymore, you get a bit past black sand beach & go back due to landslides covering the road. Also if you do go past, don't travel after dark bc it's full of sketchy places and people. Otherwise it's safe in the morning, full of people. And an awesome banana bread shack.
I almost threw up on the road of hana.... my family calls if Satan's road because. Well. It was honestly torture. All my dad did was take a wrong turn and we ended up driving for 3 hours. It got to the point that I started counting all the cars I saw. I only saw like 30ish
Please note; it is NOT possible to do the full loop of the Hana Highway. The road becomes pretty much impassible just beyond Hana and your rental car insurance will not cover you. If you break down or have an accident, there is no cellular service and you will be stranded.
@@heathermoore5382 please note: it IS possible since I’ve done it many times 😅, maybe right now you can’t… it always is dealing with landslides and road issues. And that is true a lot of it has no cell service, stay safe y’all.

I totally agree. There is no pullover area to see or do anything. If it weren’t for the paid sites: The Garden of Eden Arboretum, Waianapanapa State Park, and Haleakala National Park, you pretty much just spend 3 hours of driving on a winding narrow road. The town of Hana itself didn’t have much to see or do.
Thank you for mentioning the fires. I appreciate you speaking out about supporting local vendors. Take care

If it weren’t for the paid sites: The Garden of Eden Arboretum, Waianapanapa State Park, and Haleakala National Park, you pretty much just spend 3 hours of driving on a winding narrow road. The town of Hana itself didn’t have much to see or do.
Seven sacred "pools", not ponds.
That bothered me all through editing… but I didn’t want to re-record and I forgot to edit in the: *pools text. … you caught it
It's my stupid OCD, I can't not comment on mistakes, especially on Maui, a place so dear to me. @@JacksonMeyer
