Hi thanks for the video. We just bought a 2004 Tige 22v Limited and want to get it set up for surfing also. Your install looks clean and tidy. Curious to how much weight do each rear bag hold along with the front and are you using a wake shaper on the side of your boat? Thanks!
1450# each locker. 450# bow. I am using a cheap wake shaper off ebay. Basically straight down from the rear cleat on the upper part of hull right above the crease.
Hey, thanks for the video great job. I put a similar system in my 2005 22V except without the front bag and my 2 rear bags are smaller. To get to 1450# I'm assuming your rear bags are L shaped and go under the seats? Do you happen to have dimensions of those bags from Mikes Liquid Audio? I've already got a quote from him for L shaped bags that he says are 1300# each but since I'm on the west coast and he's on the east I'm looking to have something custom made locally. My boat is all sealed up for the winter so I cant get into it for measurements.
Yes. They are L shape'd and run all the way forward under the seat and when full come close to being the same height as the rear locker (maybe 1.5" shy of the cover). I don't have measurements handy and would have to go out to the boat to get them. He was excellent working with me, so I would recommend ordering them through him, the price was about the same going through WakeMakers or similar. Not sure why your 05 would take different bags than my 04, but he is pretty expert so I would listen to him. The main issue is getting enough weight in the front, not the rear.
@@Makswerks1 Interesting about the weight up front. Any time I weight the front my wake gets worse and I've heard others with the same boat say the same thing.
@@randyisaak455 My personal experience. With both rear bags full, 6-7 folks on boat I need at least two to sit up front along with then full 450# bag to throw a nice clean wake with the gate installed. Some of this may be due to me needing to upgrade the prop, but in general you want the angle of attack to be right. Depending on water conditions, people on board, ect. I am normally out every weekend from April to October, so I rack a lot of hours and this is what works for me.
@@Makswerks1 Sounds like you have your system dialed in pretty tight. These older boats can actually surf really well if you put a bit of effort into it and then have a crap ton of money left in your pocket.

So, do the pumps work both ways to fill and drain?
Correct - water goes in and out via the same path.
But what does the wake look like?
Pretty good. I am still fine tuning. But it throw a nice long clean wake. Still working on getting a little more push out of it.
