I am glad you survived the fall. I tumbled down cement parking lot stairs at age 63. I scraped my forehead and got a large goose egg so I had to stay overnight at a hospital and get a zillion tests. Any time after 50 without breaking is great news… but zero news is even better. Thanks, also, for explaining the roadblocks. I had assumed they were official/municipal somehow. Catching up again. I know that context is everything, and that I’m seeing things through the eyes of an old hippy living in the US (where police presence is scary both historically and in the present), but that footage of the police parade struck chills through my soul. Was that as frighteningly horrifying to the people of Cusco as it was to me? Was it meant to be?
