Mmmm actually I have two question I have decided to move Germany after completing marketing manager degree Im still in school but I have been learning german because I love it it seems easy to me... I just wanted to know hows the life there and no doubt I will take my mom dad too because I'm the only child so that's the plan I have made I hope I have a good scope as will complete the c1 in goethe too for sure
Thanks for the question. I will give you a detailed overview of life in Germany. Positive: Life in Germany is (in my opinion) much better than other European countries. There is a good work-life balance over here in many of the companies (except startups) which means that you have Saturday, Sunday off and don't have to work on weekends. The reason many people prefer US, UK or Australia is because they don't want to learn the language. But if you learn the language then you have a lot of chances here. Negative: In the past few years the costs of groceries and living has increased in Germany. So everything has become expensive but is still affordable if you have a good job. Also the automotive sector in Germany which is the biggest sector is currently under pressure due to competition from chinese auto makers. That's why the job market is a little down at the moment. For your Case: As you are studying marketing that's why in your field you will need very good German knowledge. So I find your plan good to learn till C1 and then come to Germany. Also a tip would be to try to speak German so that you get better at speaking because at the end speaking is the most important. You can also do this online as there are different websites and apps for this. Here is a famous one: tandem.net/de You can check it out. I have not used it personally but it might be helpful for you ☺️
I would say that I became fluent by speaking German daily for 9-12 months. The main thing is that if you speak daily you will get fluent but if you don't speak you will forget vocabulary. I will make a video on how you can improve your speaking soon 🙂
