- In advance of the Canadian general election, learn more about the parties’ positions on issues vital to the Metro Vancouver region.
On September 15, Metro Vancouver hosted an All-Party Federal Election Forum, moderated by Jon McComb, radio broadcaster and commentator.
A panel of local elected officials posed questions to federal candidates on critical regional issues, including climate resilience, infrastructure funding, affordable housing, economic prosperity, and transit and transportation.
Candidate participants:
•Peter Julian, New Westminster-Burnaby, NDP
•Randeep Sarai, Surrey Centre, Liberal Party
•Dr. Cheryl Matthew, Vancouver East, Green Party
Note: Invitations were extended to all four major parties with sitting MP in the region, however the Conservative Party did not provide a participant.
