All Audi s and rs models have real exhaust tips, only the more luxurious newer Audi’s like the new a6, a7, a8 and so on have fake exhaust. Cars like the q7 and q5 already have real exhaust

That volume control on the centre console is on the right on LHD models. I think they put it on the opposite side to the driver as the driver has the controls on the wheel, so the passenger has that volume control on their side just in case.
I could not cope with that colour! Do you find it has a bit of a dull feel? I did love my S3 and it was so capable, but it just felt too clinical and dull as a result.
Love your reviews Joe. I currently have the Q2 edition one and can say the SQ2 looks much better in the quantum grey and with the 19” black rotor wheels, I’ll have to put a video up of mine. I went from an M135i to the 1.4 TFSI Q2 and it’s ok. Better built than the Bmw. The Q2 was the wife’s choice but I’ve found the Q2 gets a lot more attention than the M135i did all be it not from petrol heads. I think the SQ2 is a bit of a sleeper if you like that sort of thing.

SQ stands for , we make it bigger than made it lower than tried to made it ligther to put much more power in to make it as fast as someting much more efficent with a real caracter desinged for a purpose other than beeing bigger so it can be way more expensive and gets people in line to buy it which doesnt know what they want so they want it all but cant get anything and get made fun off so yeah, its a pretty efficent use of only 2 letters, but thats all which it has going for it

Joe what magnetic vent thing are you using on the SQ2? I'm looking for one that works on my RS3 vent and I cannot find it because of the unusual vent design. Thanks!
max ferreiro agreed I’ve seen several make the same comment. Similarly, many criticise the lower touch screen controls on the new A6, where in reality you can do those functions by voice command.
Overly fussy alloys still look average despite 19 inch - preference is for the look of the new A1 you had which looked much nicer on the outside at least. Surprised as I quite like the Q2 in certain colours - maybe colour sensitive shape as usually love anything in yellow
Interesting, it has the same interior as the A3 (maybe slightly different) and i think you can lower the screen on that one. And there is a T-Roc R that is basically the SQ2s cousin And you can get a HUD on the SQ2, at least in Germany.
The screen in the q2 can't be lowered, even though the interior is almost identical to the a3 interior and the screen is retractable in that car. I don't know why they removed that feature. Probably for cost savings..
sorry i just cant accept these hatchback crossovers like this and GLA, X2... ill personally choose a 3 series estate, a4 avant or c class estate instead if a wanted space and 4 seats...
Barely offers anymore room over the S3, and if you are looking for a small, sporty Audi then you would by the S3. Small SUV's seem to be all the rage these days, but these performance versions dont really seem to serve much of a purpose, and as such form a very niche market. Like the Yellow/Black combo, although this car at 44k is simply to much money. Just like the RSQ3, which was soon chopped from Audi's like up I think this may go the same way
True. Although the S3 will be unavailable for a while soon as the current gen A3 enters into retirement - so I guess at least the SQ2 is there as a possible alternative to buyers.

The same will apply to the RS3 / RSQ3 debate, although the RSQ3 will have some comedic value as other drivers wont be expecting it to leave the lights and hit 60 in under 4 seconds. I quite like the new breed of "hot" SUV's, although they are certainly a niche market.

So Australia loses the flat bottom wheel, there goes my legroom at 6ft4, and no rear center armrest, but it's over 10K more than the Ateca or Formentor with same standard equipment and motor. I don't get it. Purely badge in this case. As it is in this vid I'd be VERY interested, the flat bottom wheel makes such a difference for me up front to be able to go between pedals without the wheel in my lap and my legs to the side. But not with the huge round wheel we get here. Strange decision Audi.
The nav screens nowadays seem to look like a last minute addition, almost as if the designers thought..."oh shit, forgot to design in a nav screen. Oh well, stick it on the dashtop, then".....
Its really ugly, over £40k, too clunky to be agile but too small to be an SUV, offers nothing over whatever the next S3 will bring. Never get the point of these cars, is it really a gap that needs filling?
£37k for this small hatchback... Loving the painted door window surrounds in the interior, what luxury... And to me the Q2 looked old fashioned at launch, especially the front. What a horrible little car.
I am sorry, it’s a yellow Audi Q2, and it’s £44,000, and before anyone corrects that, I know this has options but they are options you will need. You would need to be certifiably insane to buy this, it looks crap, cheap and nasty, god even Audi with their full range of insanely overpriced cars can’t honestly believe people will want to buy this thing!

Manuel Auer yep the Q2 is technically a lower end model and hence they use cheaper bits than on the A3.
