  • “The Dude Down Center” Well, it’s day 52 on the 40th Anniversary Tour and things are just grooving on the tour … with the exception of the VBlog video capabilities of the host! This episode includes a new workout in #htfu along with more VENUE Real Time Workflow information centered on using the EVENTS capability of S6L. And of course I’ve included some great audio and video of Tom and the band performing the tour de force “You Wreck Me”. Enjoy it! We’ll get this video crew whipped into shape in no time!

Thank you so much for continuing to release these videos, Robert! One detail that always interested me: How have you been placing Scott's electric guitar in the mix? It never sounds as up front as the other two. Is it spreaded somehow?

Christian Hölzel well it’s a combination of a few things really. For electric, Scott’s playing is often pulled back by him - it’s really “supportive” in the best description. But there are times when his electric is an equal part or sometimes even a featured part (ex: Good Enough) and often times his acoustic is the featured part. In this song his level is there - it’s just waiting on him “step on the gas” -😉

@@RobertScovill Thanks, that's an interesting approach, not seen very often. May I ask on which songs he actually played the keys? I'm only ever spotting him on guitars... :)

Christian Hölzel oh gosh, I’d have to through the master set list to remember them all - again though, always supporting Benmont. Scott was the best utility man I ever worked with. He could fill just about any role he was given.
