You can use blurr, sponge tool after using background remover, for edges in PS to speed things up, but this is not bad , it seems like more steps for a simple process

After applying the mask with the halftone, semi-transparent pixels remain. Don't you have to remove them for a better print result?
Can you actually print on both DTG (Direct-to-Garment) and DTF (Direct-to-Film) methods, and could you provide samples featuring your artwork?
