The toms are the two drums he has between the cymbals. I think the other comments are referring their either the height or the pitch of the drums. I guess he had them sitting a little higher than the rest of his kit
I'm a drummer and normally people don't play with their Toms that high as in where they're positiond on the kit. Normally they sit like 3-4 inches above the snare drum which is the red drum in front of him. He's and like 6 almost 7 inches with his toms.
