Talk About "old footage"... No cell phones, internet was new and even having a video recorder = a large clunky machine you had to haul around. I didn't go to school here (Sunset) but I did live in Miami and went to high school then. Appreciate u sharing the video! Like a time capsule! :)
I was your neighbor, Coral Park, class of 96. Tell your 11-year-old that we didn't have phones, we had payphones! Right inside the front doors we had three payphones. Everybody, their best friend, boyfriend, and their Mother knew the numbers for those payphones. They were constantly ringing, especially after school, and if you were the closest person to the phone, you were expected to pick it up, and yell down the hall for whoever they were looking for. None of us spent a quarter when we needed to be picked up after school. We would make a collect call, and instead of saying our name into the recording, we would just yell "pick me up!"
I recognize Coach Hammontree and coach P . I remember Daphne at the end of the video she was super fine… ❤ Class of 2000 Think there’s around 6000 kids enrolled in the school at that time
I came across this video randomly. I knew Sean aka S. Dot. Grew up with his little brother RJ. Didn't even know Sean went to sunset till I saw this video lol I'm class of 08.
I love it. I graduated from there in 2013 and everything looked pretty much the same. Your bunch of friends look like cool people though. And I see there were no uniforms.
