You could zip tie the 2 bowls together, that way if the lights die, you can cut the ties and replace the lights and then zip tie them again. Might be easier than trying to pry them apart due to the glue. Just a thought.
You are like a breath of fresh air. Your presentation was good, to the point and relaxed. You did not put on airs just being yourself. Your project was great turned out beautiful. Thank you
You're a trip 😄 ... 💗 this DIY. When you said, there's a good reason I don't fold the ribbon ... because, I don't want too ... that was crazy. C/S - Plan to create multiple colors and spray paint the colander. Thanks again, GREAT IDEA and keep being real/funny.
If you use a heat gun to warm up the Plastic it cuts better. Or run a soldering gun alone the edge to give it a track to cut along. Love this project. It’s so pretty.
I just want to say , I just picked up every thing I needed to pick up to make the colanders with the lights . I am so excited to make this , and I showed my sister and my best friend . They really like how you shared your video including the bow making. Thanks again .God Bless
I just love dollar tree. I didn’t know that I could get a lot of craft stuff there. Thank you sharing the video. I hope I get to see more of what you make.
Just added you .love the way you explain on how to make things. If you ever watched the show grace under fire ,you talk just like her. Love it. Thank you for shareing
You are so full of ideas! do you ever sleep? Love your sense of humor and enjoy all your videos. The colander light is terrific...can’t wait to make this.
Just to let you know I made one and I love it. I still have 3 more to make. But to cut the sides off I used my wood burning iron and it work great on the side handles. But make sure you have water nearby just in case cause it does get really hot. Just wanted everyone to know it works good. Thank you. You do great work. I love all the things you make. You explain things and show things really good
You're so much fun! This is a great idea! Some other ideas... 1) Cut a very small notch out for the lights. 2) Put ALL lights in and use a white extension cord. 3) Spray paint the colander silver first (making sure to only use spray paint made for plastics.
I am Revamping our entire front yard this year. Three out e everything I had, so let's go!!! My vision is to do a candy land yard, but we have 2 One Hundred and fifty year trees, so I plan to show off those long branches with over sized balls hanging. This is perfect, but will use on the porch, so no snow get into the collendars. Thank You 😘😘
Amber, this help turned out so beautiful! I loved the ribbons you used; they are so bright and pretty. I would love to make a set of three and hang them together at different levels by my front door. As always, you made me laugh with your comments. Thank you for sharing your creativity with your followers. God bless you and your family.
I love these and ran right back to DT lol only thing I did diff was I made a hole in the bottom colander and pulled my lights through so it could be hid while on fireplace !
That was amazing on how you took two colanders and with the lights , so pretty and thanks for making it so easy to follow . The bow you made I love the way you had done it , now I know how to make bows also , this will also be nice with the deco mesh wreaths you have been showing us , . I have to make one of these . Thanks for sharing .
This is a great idea. The only thing that gives me extra thought is seeing the broken sections where the handles were. My train of thought is to put some tinsel garland in that channel around the colander. What do you think could be put in that area?
I did this and used a wood burning tool to cut the lip of the collander off and get closer to the edge, also used an upholstery needle to feed the stretch cording through the holes tying it as I went and just sewed the ligts on. Really a time saver! I added irridescent glitter and pink accessories to make it shimmery and viicorian. My Aunt loved it so much she took it with her and I didn't get a picture! Ugh
I absolutely love, love, love this amazing idea!!!! Thank You for sharing this genius idea!! I fell in love with it and decided to make one myself. I am so proud at how it turned out, I'm making 4 more. They look so beautiful and all my neighbors have stopped by just to comment on them. Thanks so much!! Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Well! I am proud two say , I just made two of the colanders with the lights, one for me and one for my friend when I see her on thurs, I am so excited to give this to her and I .plugged them in and they were so pretty and cozy looking , thanks again for sharing this idea and the bow video I had watched and thank u for making it so easy to follow .my husband really like them. I am so amazed with this , who would of thought to take Two colanders and add lights inside of them , thanks again, God Bless . Happy Thanksgiving.
Love your tutorials, they are always informative , beautiful and fun. Just one quick note on the gorilla glue, the way it differs from e6000, when you use it, on the opposite side of what you put the glue on , you need to put a bit of water on the opposing surface, it helps the reaction to bond better and hold longer. First time I used it, I just ASSUMED, it was like E6000 and didn’t read the packing instructions. When I started my project, for days the glue never did attach what I was trying to glue together. So I went back and read the instructions again and there that sentence piped off the page, “ apply glue to one side and wet the other side with a small amount of water”. I love it since I learned how to use it.
Love this! Was also thinking of doing this with the fancy clear plastic bowls in Dollar Tree's wedding/party aisle. I think that could be really pretty as well!!
Hi Amber Once again you've managed to make another beautiful ornament. I have to say you are a very talented lady. Keep up the great work. God Bless you all.
I LOVE THIS!!!! I do the decorations for the church...these will be perfect to hang from the back wall!!! I don't think I can do lights for those...but...I can have some on the back wall ledge with lights! Oh my goodness!!! I am so excited about these!!!
A very clever and cute decoration idea. Kuhn Rikon makes a pair of shears that will cut thru plastic blister packs. They also cut thru other plastic items like cutting thru "buttah". I received mine as a gift so I'm not sure of the price.

New sub. Love the way you just jump on in making your craft and not talk about doing it for 10 mins. Love all your crafts. 👍
Yessss.. I agree. Too many give too long of an intro or spend tooooo many minutes in describing the item. Just get into it now.. Lol
Yes!
See how many up votes it's getting! Lots of us feel the same way.
Yes I agree
Amen

*Another great idea!!!*
Thank you I love her Craft I was wondering how do it if lights dies . I saw someone cut a hole and cover it with white felt underneath..
or just use the same Stretch Magic cord you use to tie the lights on.
The way you make bows is by far, the best method. I only saw this method once on another crafter’s page and I thought it was the best. Brilliant!
Yes i did i enjoy it beautiful love it
I love listening to you talk. I’m a Texas girl so I’m Southern too. You are so good and funny too.

Love it .All l could is that it speaks for it self.Beautiful! It look just like Christmas 🎄.
I made this two years ago and love it

This is adorable!!!!! Very clever idea!
This is a great idea. The only thing that gives me extra thought is seeing the broken sections where the handles were. My train of thought is to put some tinsel garland in that channel around the colander. What do you think could be put in that area?
It is barely noticeable. You could sand it flat with some sandpaper
I made this last year. Love it
This so cute....very easy to do.....thanks for sharing.
I did this and used a wood burning tool to cut the lip of the collander off and get closer to the edge, also used an upholstery needle to feed the stretch cording through the holes tying it as I went and just sewed the ligts on. This will look fantastic on my outside Christmas tree. It was too pricey to put all large balls but this is doable. Thank you.
