This woman has taught me how to feed my child, clean my house naturally and implement a skin care routine. Thanks forever Rachel the RUclips mom 🙋🏻♀️❤️
Hey guys! If you've been watching my channel forever, this video might be totally boring.. For all my new subbies, I wanted to make an updated facial video.. I worked in the skin care industry for a few years during college and so I like to share what I learned on my channel. It's helped me a ton over the years, and I hope it helps you too! I definitely would consider seeing a dermatologist or esthetician if you have any personal skincare concerns. Once you have been given the appropriate regime, you can perform a weekly mini- facial on yourself for skincare maintenance following these steps.. Skincare products can add up quickly. I recommend starting with simple products you are able to comfortably afford and add things like expensive tools etc when you are able. Proper skin maintenance just starts with the basics... Cleansing, Exfoliating Toning, Treating... I have the luxury of trying out a bunch of products as a part of what I do on RUclips, but its not necessary to use all the expensive products to get results. Do what you can!! Hope you enjoy! xo, Rachel
hi Rachel .new subscriber. i love your videos. especially your getaway videos.please please can you do a video on planner organization +supplies.I love organization videos
you tubers get a lot for free, but I too was like who can afford this? she live in California too and I think everyone that lives in California has money, because it's so expensive out there...I bought the michael todd brush, it last long and it's supposedly cleaner...but aliexpress has all replicas of nuface and clairsonic and the led mask...😊
1. Remove makeup (Cleanse) 2. exfoliate - physical or chemical 3. Facial steam 4. Mask (use aloe Vera) 5. Toner or hydration gel Treatment Vitamin c Oils - can do facial massage (Led lights) micro current device Retinal Eye creams
Sensitive skin, rosacea sufferers, red skin, skin that reacts at all sensitively should stay MILES away from the Clarasonic, physical scrubbing AND the steaming. Active cleansers and chemicals/gentle acids are infinitely better. Be VERY aware of your OWN skins needs. Also pores don't open and close. Steamers don't "open" pores. But the steam DOES help loosen and heat the oils and sebum INSIDE your pores making it easier to clean out - hence the pore "appearing" smaller afterwards. Its not closing a pore, it's warming before cleaning it. A Balm massage for a few minutes or a luke warm steam, followed by a mineral clay then a gentle BHA and humectant layer for moisture will reduce the size of your pores and clean them out. But it will require constant maintenance.
+Erin MacPherson I find I use the Clarisonic 2=3 times a week. I've even used it daily and I have sensitive skin. It never has bothered my skin at all. I find it helps serums and moisturizers soak in the skin better afterwards. I've only had mine about 2 years now though. I have never used a steamer on my face.
+Pii Nezka depending on if you have acne or oily skin or not it would be either AHA (glycolic acid, lactic acid, etc.) or BHA (salicylic acid) instead of manual exfoliation such as scrubs and buffers and whatnot. Those things can cause micro damage to skin whereas the chemical exfoliants do not :)
+LaurenAlexandra711 yes I know all that, but I was talking about using chemical peels especially in rosacea, I personally would never use chemical peels if my client had rosacea and I would be careful with sensitive skin and if a person don't know how to use chemical peels she/he can do A LOT of damage to the skin
Hi Rachel! :) Long-time viewer here. I just purchased the Kate Sommerville Retinol product, and it is absolutely AMAZING!! I literally noticed a difference as soon as it absorbed into my skin. Total game changer. Thank you!
Your videos are never boring!!!! I am with your channel since the beginning and they are NEVER boring!! I sometimes even rewatch them !!!! This was a really good video! Keep making these i love them! 💋💋💋
You sound like a person who does facials, sounding so professional! This is exactly the video I need and I can't wait for my steamer and vitamin C serum to come to my house! Your skin looks so radiant.
You are one of my favourite beauty youtubers, and you are definitely my favourite youtuber who takes about skin care! These types of videos are my favourite b/c they are SO informative! I'm a student so I can't afford a facial but just knowing which order I should mask, steam etc. is super helpful!! Thank you so much
Hi Rachel! can you go in depth on the nuface? maybe a review, comparison with other facial tools. I've worked in a salon and seen a woman who was in her mid 30s get a weekly microcurrent and when she had skipped a week she looked really droopy. it made me a little scared of it because I thought, I don't want to become dependant on this. I know that seems weird because serums are almost the same, but if I resurface my skin with a serum and am done with the bottle, I get to keep my skin. what is this microcurrent really about. I'd love to know your mental understanding of it. thank you!
I'm on my 4th time of trying Retin-A and I'm determined to stick with it this time! I've watched your video you made a few years back on Retin-A -A about 20 times because it's the best one out there! I would love to see an updated Retin-A video about your routine when on it, how long it took you to see results, makeup on Retin-A, and any other tips and tricks you could give!
Hi Rachel, i have watched a lot of videos on home made facials and yours is the best so far. It is straight to the point and clear. Keep it. Ruth from Uganda.
your videos not boring, I like your skin routine , I'm always watching you , but this the first time I see your another channel , you are a singer oh my gosh , you have beautiful skin , face and voice , you are gorgeous :*
OMG IVE BEEN HAVING THAT SAME FACIAL MACHINE FOREVER & WAS ABOUT TO GIVE IT AWAY, TUAH PRAISE THE GOD I SERVE 🙏🏽. THANKS SOOO MUCH BOO FOR YOU TIME AND Demonstration I APPRECIATE YOU 💋💋😘💯💯
Dear Rachel, you have the most beautiful and absolutely flawless skin I've ever seen! You're skin is glowing, looks so soft and plump. And you have such a clear complexion. Thank you so much for this awesome and very informative video. :)
This was very helpful. I recently tried a Roden + Fields product and it totally damaged my skin. My skin was very clear before with only a few spots from dark pigmentation and now it looks like I have adult or pregnancy acne. I have to start back with my basics. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so happy you finally did a skin care video! I love all your skin care routine videos, you have such flawless skin and your gorgeous! I hope to have beautiful skin like you one day!!😊
You are elegant, classy, beautiful, talented, all in one. Absolutely love your videos Rachel! Thanks for the facial routine, definitely gonna give that a try 😊❤
Omg! Reminds me of when you first started with all the skincare videos! You got me using the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream! My personal skincare advisor! Love you babe!
I feel like the Clarisonic is more than enough physical exfoliation for my skin, it would be too much to follow with an additional chemical or physical peel, which is why I tend to stick to chemical peels.
This video was so helpful. Thanks for posting. I have been wanting to go have a facial done, but why spend the money when I can do it from from. Love how you did the step by step.
I love this video though! I don’t have what she has but I do follow the steps that don’t cost a lot. 1. Remove make up 2. Facial scrub (st. Ives) 3. I do remove my own black heads gently. 4. Steaming over hot water 5. Mud mask (Innisfree) 6. Toner/ serum 8. Eye cream 7. Sheet mask Done!
btw a tip for if you steam with a bowl of water: put a decent-sized towel over your head while your head is over the bowl, like if you were trying to hide your head and the bowl
Hey girl I'm an esthetician. You should consider using the gentle brush on the clarisonic and DONT brush extra with it because thats called over exfoliation that will cause breakouts, dryness, etc..... The machine is made to do its work when you let it sit on top of your skin :)
Is it OK to use Clarisonic and exfoliate right after? Doesn't Clarisonic exfoliate? I don't want to do too much for my skin, i will break out easily. Just wanted some clarification :)
Rachel could you do a fitness type of video, just like general tips on how you stay healthy, including the foods you eat to help stay healthy. Thanks! Love from England! Xx
Hi Rachel, I thoroughly enjoy your videos, ALL OF THEM! I noticed you use very high end products. Some can not afford so I like the DIYs. But can you suggest a comparable one that is less expensive but can work. I know it will not be totally the same but pretty close. Thank You.
you are beautiful! i have a lot of items to do "at home facial", but lately I've been super lazy and just been using the clarisonic and a face mask. this video is a good inspirational video for me, so i'll save this video for when i need it =) by the way, you have a beautiful home! I love it!
Did you say "purge" in relation to the Clarisonic? What did you mean? I use mine all the time but certainly don't want to be causing myself more breakouts! Thanks!!

I've never had a facial EVER and that's mainly because looking for the "right" place/person is so scary. I've been your subscriber since the beginning! One of my favorite videos (if not, my favorite) are your skincare videos! I find it super informative & a joy to watch. Skincare > makeup any day. Gosh what kinda of skin you have. It is just so perfect , and flawless and goshhh im envy you. Ive such a terrible skin. Pimples, blackhead whitehead big pore 😞😞😞😞

Haha our sons are the same age (mines a couple months older) every time i do a mask i always try get him to kiss me and the look on his face is priceless. Love the videos rachel you are such an inspiration.
I'm confused. Did you use the microcurrent device as last step of the facial with a facial oil? What percentage do you use of vitamin C and of retinol? Thanks for the great video!

By chemicals, you mean chemical peels? Because rosacea and sensitive skin are contraindications for chemical peels
Pii Nezka Goodness no. Not chemical peels. I meant gentle acids in cleansers etc

ur voice is so calming and ur videos are so unique and U're abdoloutly adorable
Rachel! Why are you and your family so perfect haha. When Oliver was freaked out and wouldn't kiss you -so cute.
I think you exfoliate should be after steamer as it allows the pores to clean because steam will open pores.
Dear Rachel, you have the most beautiful and absolutely flawless skin I've ever seen! You're skin is glowing, looks so soft and plump. And you have such a clear complexion. Thank you so much for this awesome and very informative video. :)

Did you say "purge" in relation to the Clarisonic? What did you mean? I use mine all the time but certainly don't want to be causing myself more breakouts! Thanks!!
It makes her breakout. Actually a lot of people say daily use makes them breakout. Everyone's skin is different though.
This video makes me wanna make the right choices like take my makeup of every night and moisturize lol Love you girl!

I'm confused. Did you use the microcurrent device as last step of the facial with a facial oil? What percentage do you use of vitamin C and of retinol? Thanks for the great video!
Try switching your brush head to delicate. MY sensitive skin stopped purging hopefully it works for you!
You have such nice skin!!! Also btw you made a typo in the title, u put A instead of An, just to let you know! Loved the video!
