NC Southern Area Engine Academy

In March 2024, the Wildlife Commission along with North Carolina State Parks, The Nature Conservancy, North Carolina Forest Service and North Carolina State University, in coordination with the North Carolina Prescribed Fire Council Implementation Committee, held the NC Southern Area Engine Academy at Haw River State Park. This training provided an opportunity for staff to complete S-211 Portable Pumps and Water Use and S-214 Southern Area Engine Operations through several hands-on exercises and some classroom time.
