    I’ve been suffering from chronic pain & failed to get a diagnosis for almost 20 years now. I’ve done endless research, seen at least 30 doctors in the past 5 years and still no diagnosis. I have tried to talk to doctors abt the possibility of my diagnosis being Slipped Rib Syndrome, nobody takes me seriously. Do you have advice on how to actually advocate for myself & actually secure a proper diagnosis for this? I absolutely believe I have slipped rib syndrome & it’s gone for so long there is no way I’m just simply “inflamed” in my ribs. I have never yet found a doctor that has even heard of this before. Ive also had MRI, X-ray & ultrasound done… I am 36, abt to be 37 & desperate at this point to be taken seriously so I can get the treatment I need. please any advice would b welcomed . My response is always “well we don’t see anything on imaging, seems you are ok”

      Yeah no scan can see it really, but if you can feel your ribs slip you don’t need a scan to tell you if they are or not. To find a doctor look up “list of surgeons with experience in slipping rib syndrome Reddit” it has a big list. I would be very weary about getting surgery though, I got the surgery seen at 14:11 and it made me worse.

      Beware!!! This man does not know what he is talking about for Slipping Rib Syndrome. If you want good accurate information from a doctor who knows what he is talking about and has been treating patients from all over the United States and the world successfully.
      I totally disagree with you that a physical therapist or a chiropractor, or a physical medicine doctor even has the knowledge and ability to diagnose this. I have been to numerous ones. None of them had even heard of SRS and I am talking about a large metropolitan area that is well known for medical procedures and treatments.
      Physical Therapy is there worse thing to prescribe for an SRS patient, it only exacerbates it and makes it worse!!! Also, Intercostal Nerve Block Injections are not helpful for SRS, if it helps at all it is only for a few days. Chiropractic manipulation only makes it worse. After what I have personally learned from my own experience and what I have learned from watching several of Dr. Adam Hansen's videos, I would never go to see you to treat SRS. I would never be able to function again!

    Please could you do a video on causes of pressure at the top of the head and base of the skull, chronic cervicogenic-type head pressure without a obvious cause and ways of how to get it diagnosed. Doctors seems to only treat it with normal headache medication, painkillers or antidepressants. It's annoying when they referral you to a psychiatrist when the cannot find the cause!

    This doctor seems to be confusing slipping rib syndrome with a "slipped rib" which is a common term that chiropractors use for a subluxation.
    Two of his recommendations are chiropractic adjustments and manipulation of the ribs.
    These will NOT correct SRS, which is a physical detachment of the rib from the costal cartilage.
    Please stay in your lane doc, before you get someone hurt.

    I already had an ortho-surgeon and a neurologist recommend rib removal. I was diagnosed by my GI Dr. after a clear endoscopy. He used “the hook method” and diagnosed me immediately. Ribs 9 and 10 have no cartilage after an emergency splenectomy. They touch my my intercostal nerves. I thought Dr. Hansen’s method (diagram with the string) was a good alternative. It took years to get diagnosed. I was hoping it would be a less invasive solution. I’m kind of disappointed.

    I go to physio twice a week, chiro every two weeks to control this but it is getting progressively less stable. The pain is intense when walking and standing. Also have esophageal spasms that feel like a heart attack. If I bend over or reach up I get a displacement. Has caused so much limitation and pain in my life that my quality of life has become minimal. The doctors DON'T listen and then advise you to reduce stress in your life. Just how to I do that when the major source of stress is my pain.😡

    You showed diagrams looking from front and back. Is it possible for pain from unstable ribs to radiate or refer to the upper abdomen? I believe I have some measure of IBS (Not diagnosed yet) however in a recent medical exam, my GP is suspicious enough for SRS that he wants me to come back for a diagnostic nerve block.

    • @aleksandradelekta4826
      @aleksandradelekta4826 Год назад

      How was it? Did your GP confirm it can radiate? I also have upper abdomen pain for 2 years and some time ago noticed the rib on this side is clicking when I touch it. I’m wondering if it’s the SRS causing the pain as all GI tests were normal…

    • @lovingod4ever33
      @lovingod4ever33 Год назад

      @@aleksandradelekta4826I believe you definitely have SRS. I have had it over 3 years and YES a common symptom of SRS is GI issues. Depending on the position of my slipped ribs when I am eating, it causes GI issues almost immediately afterward. Also because everything expands after eating, that is usually when significant pain comes for those of us with SRS. Same for sleeping in regards to significant pain. I currently can only lay/sleep for no more than 4.5 hours. If I lay/sleep any longer than that, my whole day is spent with unbearable, debilitating pain. I don't agree with this Dr. on here. I have done a multitude of treatments and NOTHING is going to fix SRS long term other than Surgery. Dr. Hansen's technique is brilliantly innovative and I don't appreciate this guy talking about it in a mockingly sarcastic manner. Dr. Hansen is teaching other surgeon's from all around the world to replicate his specific surgery. Dr. Hansen's current 3.0 surgery has a current success rate of 85% correction and elimination of pain. I am currently using near-infrared light therapy to tolerate the pain until I am able to go see Dr. Hansen for surgery. NR light therapy is another great tool this guy didn't address. It definitely isn't going to cure/fix my ribs BUT it allows me to at least function as a somewhat "normal" human being, again until I can get surgery. SRS is a horribly painful and debilitating condition that should not be just be talked about like it is "no big deal." SRS will f-up other parts of your bodies alignment as well. Shoulder / scapula and hip hike on one side is VERY common when SRS is not corrected/treated. I hope you get answers and a proper diagnosis. Please seek more intelligent and knowledgeable doctor's than this guy. Best wishes to you ❤️
