Slash always seems like a down to earth guy... truly a guitar god
Just imagine him back in the late 1980s on drunks and drunk 24/7 lol.
@@rutiger6901 caP and WiG bahaha?
@@rutiger6901 he is smart.... he has managed to maintain some semblance of anonymity all these years... decades, lol 😉
He came into the restaurant I was managing about 20 years ago (Fort Wayne Indiana). Unfortunately I was off that day, dammit!! Anyhow, they told me he was super nice and left a nice tip.
Interesting that he's so down to earth considering he is essentially LA royalty, his dad made album covers for famous artists like Neil Young and his mother made outfits for famous rock stars like David Bowie and Janis Joplin, Bowie was her ex. He lived a few doors down from the Beach Boys and the Animals, Laurel Canyon was nuts back in the late 60s, even the Mason family was hanging out there
Slash is one of the hardest working musicians, he never seems to stop. Starts touring next week with SMKC, then touring with GNR & straight after again with SMKC. Legend
and their songs is ever very good
👍🏿
myles is even more insane, he balances solo, alter bridge, smkc both studio and tour.
Being a musician isn’t hard work. They’re lucky they don’t have a real 8 hour job on top of it.🙂
We dont have enough time to not be like that
Love slash, hes a real down to earth guy, my daughter waited hours at guitar center to get hes autograph he had other places to be but he told hes sponsors or producers that he wasn't going anywhere til he sign everyone albums
his so much more nicer than his bandmate axl rose
I love this! Haven't seen Slash on a talk show in so long!
SAME HERE!!! I LOVE this!!
Yeah, and it's absolutely awesome to see him healthy and sober!
If you haven't seen him on Conan with Jack Black, it's worth it.
@Delana Taylor Online tbh i thought he would have a really gritty voice
This guy hasn’t changed in 30 years! Rock God!
40*
@@NiklasSoerenwow... I just did the math... you aren't wrong. He started forming bands in 1985... it's 2024.... it's nearly been 40 years for him. What a legend. It shows in his legacy but not in his looks, haha
Met him once on a commercial flight, he was like a regular dude, nice and humble!
Normal plane? That's cool! He easily coulda taken a private jet.
So what was he like?
Met him at a bar, he’s super nice 😊
I met Sammy Hagar once at a restaurant. Thee nicest celebrity I've ever met, easily.
I seen him in Airport ppl swarmed him, o thought it was rude, he was with family! Yeah he is a star, but they are still just family to there family members! That would get old!! He is very humble, he opened door and held it till I was out! Very kind! We are same age, both born 1965, mine is June his is July!!
I love Slash so down to earth and a epic guitar player.
“I was really drunk you have to understand”, yes Slash, we understand.
seriously tho, when is young slash *not* drunk lol
You had to be there
Ive been really drunk plenty times. I understand slash
I gotta meet this 😂😂😂
Always a nobody with smart assed things to say.Always a nobody.
I love Slash. His autobiography was a great read, too.
I loved the part where he battled his addiction
I just skim through it a few days ago and read the dress part with Adler.
Yeah, he treated women like caca.
As a dedicated nighthawk I completely stole the idea of Vampire Standard Time.
very fun autobiography
Still the coolest man to walk the earth! 🙌🙌
that's right bro
Hosloaml😻😻😻
...+Hendrix.
@@punkisinthedetails1470 mmmmm
I always admired Slash's humility and gentle disposition. A legend!!
If you want to know what Slash doing in his teenage years, there's documentary on RUclips called Slash: Raised on the Sunset Strip
THANK YOU for this info!
Just finished watching this and it really is a great doc!!! Thanks again for suggesting it.
I can't wait to watch it! Love this guitar legend so much xoxo.
Thanks!
And there are bunch of videos of gnr and him when they were young on youtube
I walked past Slash in a hotel in London and was surprised I was taller than him, but his stature is immense. One of the rock greats and still producing some incredible stuff. In a time of such bad music he is a beacon for the real thing.
Which hotel?
@@EbonyRagerThe Lancaster I think, but it was at least 10 years ago.
From what I understand slash loves being in the uk and likes the country pubs
@@jameslyddall well he is half British lol
Yeah, I'm glad he likes to play live off the floor in the studio, not many bands do that these days.
Absolutely, hands down, the coolest person that has ever walked on the face of this earth.
Funny ....this is the first time I ever heard him speak.
Yup
@@TALLXXL I heard him speak ages ago... but I remember waiting forever to hear him speak... I was in high school when they hit MTV, lol... first time I heard him speak I thought he sounded like Michael Jackson. 😂 I think this is only the 2nd time I have heard him talk. I just LOVE him and think he is awesome and he looks amazing! It's like a trip back to the 80's.... I hope he does really well.
Not bad for a lad from Stoke!
Such an overestimated idea
There was a time this guy would sit in the interviews and pass out from all the drinking in the middle of it. I meann low-key surprised and incredibly proud that he made it this far ❤️ still a rocker. Always has been always will be.
Here's something interesting about Slash that I never knew:
Of his mixed background, Slash has remarked, "As a musician, I've always been amused that I'm both British and Black; particularly because so many American musicians seem to aspire to be British while so many British musicians, in the 'Sixties in particular, went to such great pains to be Black."
I had one favourite American band after like 10 fave Brit bands, now you're saying even GnR is British? What's next? Elvis is from Newcastle?😂😂
@@madiam4u lol
@@madiam4u only slash is British😂
Slash was born in stoke on Trent, that’s why he’s British
@@madiam4u Elvis is actually from London
Slash is a living legend!
I met Slash in Guitar Center in Sherman Oaks CA around 2005. Nice dude. He IS SLASH, it isn't an act.
His son was having an EPIC temper tantrum on the floor, literally kicking and screaming, and Slash was having a "dad moment" while trying to buy drum sticks.
I told him I would comp the sticks so he could go but he wouldn't take them for free, he said he had credit on account, which I looked up for him and then he was just like " dude I gotta go, I'll get sticks another time." It was so weird but also very genuine, I met arguably my biggest hero of my childhood and he was in full Slash attire but couldn't have been in more of a regular dude moment.
Oh so Slash has a voice... Nice
I wish Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan would appear on a talk show together just one time now that they are reunited
They did had an interview though.
Axl RARELY do TV
Ask and Duff did an interview a few years back together
These guys have literally lived their lives to the fullest
@@SHG16 slash
I could listen to this man tell stories of his old days for hours

The coolest human on the planet. I had the pleasure of meeting Slash after one of his shows and he is a genuinely friendly, laid back dude.
So happy for you! Yeah that’s all I’ve ever heard about him - totally down to earth, really cool and chill guy who loves chatting with fans.
@@jasoncinema - both my sons met him too. My oldest was 16 at the time. He asked Slash, "Should I call you, Mr. Slash?" He laughed and said, "Nah man. Slash is fine."
@@johnvinet1078 That’s awesome! 😃
Anyone who has met slash is one lucky person ❤it'd be an honor
One of the most talented, coolest and most down to earth celebrities EVER. I saw him live 5x with Myles and 2x with GN'R and each time so close to him (amazing seats). I can't take my eyes off his hands (I'm in a full Guitar God trance) and his playing gives me goosebumps each time.
I have never heard Slash talk about Steven Adler this much in an interview in any positive light. So that's really nice.
I had the epic pleasure of seeing Slash shred a guitar with Angus Young from AC/DC on stage in Sydney with GNR, it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. :)
WOW!!! I can only IMAGINE!! Lucky YOU!! 💖
Que va ser slash ese
Great! I’ve seen Slash perform live, 6 times!
So talented, my all time favorite guitarist. I loved Rod Jackson as the frontman as well as Scott Weiland and Myles.
I saw GnR at Slane Castle in 1992, when Axl went off for one of his multiple wardrobe changes, Slash just chilled on the side of the stage playing an instrumental of Wild Horses on a 12 string acoustic, just a dude noodling away waiting for his mate to get back so they could get shredding again. It was one of the best live music experiences I have had.
I would have loved to see them at Slane Castle and also Red Hot Chili Peppers! ❤️
I was there in 92 🤘
@@RPostVideos I was too young for the Guns and Roses at Slane '92 but saw the chilli's there. Amazing show. The Chilli's show is available on DVD.
@@guppy9713 I have watched the Pepper's Slane Castle so many times!
@@RPostVideos 👍👍
He's such a true-to-life character. He's not playing a role. (Kiss, Alice Cooper) Undeniably identifiable. He signs autographs or used to and talks to fans. He's almost 60 but seems so much younger. I guess 60 is the new 30 something.
Right...like he's wearing that top hat when he's alone at home.
How do you know?
@@UnchainedEruption😂
This man was one of my inspirations to pick up a guitar, 11 years ago. Glad to see he’s doing well
Same. He and Joe Perry
The fact that slash always seems to underplay his genius is always what makes him cool, this guy has been famous most of his adult life
its called humility
Hearing Slash play guitar is a genuinely spiritual experience.
He isnt just a guitarist. He's Memory. 💛
Met him in Seattle a while back. He was super nice and chill. Spoke to me like I was a friend. I love you Man!!!
Slash ❤... the best since my 17 and I'm 48 now. And it'll be forever. Kiss from France 🇲🇫
always love Slash in interviews, Stern/ Jimmy/ whatever!!
Slash is always cool as hell . Rock On !!!
Probably the coolest dad ever, imagine your dad bringing you to go and jam with guns n roses 🌹 🤩
Slash is so "down to earth", no bullshit and he is real as.
Miss the boys on stage late last year due to COVID but I hope and pray that by the end of this year the boys will make it back downunder.
Their tour starts in like a week
@@maxwellwinter2114 Yes, that I know that the boys are on tour next week ++ but when I mentioned "downunder", that is referring as Australia
Slash is a righteous dude
Why is this life? I love Slash’s energy. It’s so pure 💟
One of the most obscure looking guests on the show -- and yet he comes across as being one of the most sophisticated guests in recent memory.
Slash - absolute icon and breath of fresh air!!
Love Slash. When GN'R dropped in the late 80s, my buddies and I were blown away. I love so much of Slash's work outside Guns.
Slash is probably the only guest that could convince me to watch Jimmy Kimmel
Kimmel is brilliant.
He’s better than Fallons show
Fact
Slash - always the GOAT
Aside from being a good guitar player, He's a cool guy down to earth. That makes a great musician and human. I met him at Sweetwater and he stopped to sign autographs for everyone out back. I've seen other people who play guitar there avoid the crowd... Which usually is only 12-20 people out back by the bus. Props to Slash I'll be buying the vinyl record.
Slash suppose to be an OG as in old…but he’s musical genius has kept him ever young 😳
Slash hasn’t aged at all! He looks amazing !!!
Omg ..
I admire Slash since the begining of 90s
Its my first time seeing him in an interview
Like dream come true
Slash... The Legend...
Omg I love slash...all these years still love him..just gorgeous!!!!..
Anyone remember the first weeks of the Kimmel show, when Slash was cohost for a week?
The final day culminated with his project at the time in 2003(Slash+Duff+Sorum+Kushner) jamming Rock Superstar and Paradise City with Cypress Hill.
That group would later join forces with Scott Weiland to form Velvet Revolver.
Very few people know Slash is British! My most favourite, person ever, his solos are legendary.
This guy never gets old
That right slash best of gnr
Slash when he's playing the guitar, is absolutely mesmerizing and he seems like such a laid back, really cool guy. Glad your still rockin Slash!✌🎸
Thanks for your love and support ❤❤❤
Growing up with GnR, never thought I’d see Slash on a late night talk show.
Saul use to go to Fairfax and he was in school with me. He would go to the Records shop across on street from the High school when it use to be there. back in the 80's and he played his guitar on the quad of the school during lunch time. I remember those days.
Man if I could give a bro hug to Slash I’d be sooooooo happy.
I saw him in 2017 with GnR, Adelaide. He stole the show, freaking amazing!
What a legend this guy is... love him!!!
Omg they are getting Slash to talk for 8 min on TV. Look at that
See u on the 16th Slash. Looking forward to seeing u all playing together again
Love him so much, he’s an amazing person, guitarist and such a hard worker man
Slash is the coolest😎. Just the best!!
Just seen GNR in concert and I thought they really nailed it! King of rock !
Dude has looked the same for 30 years. Love it
Immediately after "Appetite for Destruction" came out, I rec'd it for Christmas and blasted It on my walkman all the way to grandpa house on Christmas. They kept yelling at me to turn it down but I couldn't hear them :)
This is the most Slash has talked in 35 years. I could listen to so much more….
Dude- Slash is looking hot as ever. Legend. Saw him in concert in buffalo, ny. Best time ever. Love slash!!!
Hit me up
Love Slash! Love how he mentioned his son’s band s8nt electric and Nico who is a really great guitarist . Their lead singer went to school with me and she’s a great person! so glad to see them grow and start touring
Dude thank you for letting him talk and tell his stories, I love hearing studio stories, even if it's just about how they mic something up. If anyone's paid attention, if music isn't electronic, I've noticed more and more that, if it's not the loudness wars (still 🙄) it's the lack of "air" in recordings. No ambience. I've left comments about this elsewhere. But while reverb was a big thing in the 80s obviously and I'm not referring to that, people aren't mixing in the instruments' sound in the room! Listen to Use Your Illusion. There's "room" between the instruments. It isn't always necessary, but it definitely makes drums and percussion sound insane. Compare Full Moon Fever's sound to anything recorded for RUclips by any artist today. Even sea shanties recorded today sound so compressed and with zero breathe or atmosphere. So I'm glad they mic'd up the room. I'll check out the new album (I was playing it earlier but wasn't paying attention).
I love how talkative he is, cool stories 🤘
Slash my legend. Down to earth humble guy.
This is the first time I've heard his voice. He is just so cool.
SLAAAAAASH !! Je t'aime !!!
He has maintained his iconic style for more than 40 years guess what it’s still iconic keep rocking
South Park taught me that Slash isn't like a normal person, but rather a magical being like Santa
Saw Slash, Myles and the band in Kuala Lumpur back in 2015. First row, centre stage, pit area. Best concert ever.
IMO-Myles Kennedy is hands down the greatest rock singer of all time. Slash is one of the greatest guitar players of all time.
Slash is never getting old and always down to earth musician. Idol we love you come back to the Philippines again.
His solo albums have been killer, never was a huge fan. I always respected the guy, but got more into him with his own stuff. He shows he can play more stuff than we expect.
A thorough gentleman behind all these facade..and a guitar genius 👏
every time I see slash interview want to see him play after
Sat next to him on a flight once. Very pleasant guy. We chatted about everything except music, mainly family etc.
Thanks for the mention, slash!
Still with the hat.. not many folks stick to a bold fashion choice for this long... Him and Flavor Flav, I guess.
Alice Cooper is eerily well preserved too & still rocking.
Absolutely love Slash; one of the coolest guys on the planet
Man he's so chill, i love him
I have never seen him without sunglasses.....and frankly, I don't wanna. He's an icon.
Really? He's hot AF. Even now.
I saw him in '92 in vancouver how he was playing his guitar right around the floor seats. So cool!!

Real nice genuine guy
I use to be a Server for IHOP about 4 or 5 years ago near La brea tar pits area, and one day in the afternoon the place was almost dead just a couple customers around, I was in the back stocking some drinks and the hostess comes in and tell me I have a new table, I go out and just sitting there in a booth Slash, the feeling was like winning the lottery very nice guy down to earth, he leave me a $10.00 tip😉. Until today I regret not asking him for a picture, because in one hand there it's the Rockstar but in the other hand he was there as a customer and I had to respect his privacy.
