The accent. The tough love. The "BRAD LEONE". And then giving him ice cream when the tough love was a little too tough. This is peak new york and I love it.
So long as your personality meshes with that sort of attitude. Personally, I'd get a kick out of it and probably make some lighthearted jabs back from time to time, but my wife on the other hand would not be able to handle it as it's just not her personality and would take everything too serious.
Please give nino his own show where he goes in and fixes restaurants and calls all the workers Brad Leone while he berates them, but then gives them ice cream at the end to show they’re still friends
Nino has some great one-liners here: "Looks great if we were at Chuck-e-Cheese, Brad Leone" "Fits in the box, and everything" "Really easy to cut once it gets cold, right, Brad Leone?" "Oh my god maron' á mia" "Brad, how about some more stretching, less talking, how about that? "I got cameras, Brad Leone"
BA, this needs to be a series. While it can be Brad most of the time, if you don't take the opportunity to throw Chris into a place then it will be a huge missed opportunity.
I doubt Conde Neste has the budget to do content like this unless it involves celebrities coming on for free in exchange to promote their stuff. The company cant even pay their own employees properly.
@@ronch182 Conde Nast is doing very well financially this year. And I doubt you know anything about how much they currently pay employees. Nino is a bit more gentle and complimentary than average NY. (maybe for the camera - maybe because he likes Brad already). Expect more cursing, a bit more anger, but the same amount of love as Nino.
@@dabbking If you haven't worked with pizza dough before, youd be incredibly surprised the learning curve it presents people with. I had worked in a few kitchens prior to ever making a pizza and it took me literally 3 weeks to make one I was finally proud of. I know he's just busting balls but he definitely opened everyone's eyes to just how serious things can get behind and how much cost a new employee actually is
I like his mentality about the flour. "I'll waste $27 worth of flour to get a good employee." And also, he seems like a pretty good boss - a hard ass definitely, but once you're in you're in.
16:41 Hearing a true-to-heart tough-loving Brooklyn Italian handing another person an ice cream cone, and with a deep & gruff voice, say "Thats Ube!".... it cracks me up & warms my heart.
Nino was everything I expected from the moment he opened his mouth and I couldn't be happier. He is the kind of guy I want to find running a pizza place in Brooklyn
Nino is freaking hilarious, as is Brad! Thanks for this great episode ... and more of this, please! Brad seems willing to learn and it is wonderful to see a truly great boss (like Nino) train a new staff.
always a fun time with Brad & this was one great look behind the scenes! Nino's no-nonesense taskmaster attitude with Brad was perfect... looking forward to your next adventure!
The chef has so many funny one liners. I love him! "Thats how you wanna live your life" hit me so hard And also i learned so much. I realized how much i need to learn to make a good pizza, not a "midwest pizza" And i love Brad.
good effort brad leone. glad you're giving people insight into what it actually takes to work in a restaurant kitchen. people think pizza is easy, but it really is an artform to be able to do it fast and perfect every time. its a real juggling act, especially if youre also working with live fire.
You can absolutely tell Nino's been making pizza since he was a kid. And he knows exactly how to break someone in when it comes to making great pizza. It's no wonder that his pizza place has multiple locations.
That guy was AWESOME funny! "People love that when the slices fold over themselves"! "Yeah - Looks great if we were at Chucky Cheese Bradley-oni"! "Ive never seen someone look so good"! "Real easy to cut once the pizza gets cold right Bradley-oni?"
I love his logic about teaching and the unconcern about the price of flour vs the rest of the ingredients. And now I am hungry for pizza like that but I am on the west coast of Canada!
if you call someone by their first and last name and bust balls about something someone is trying to learn while they are learning it..... you have probably worked in a new york pizzeria
honestly this gives me a new perspective when it comes to high traffic pizza places in the city. I got stressed out just watching all the orders come in. It seems super hard to get adjusted to such a fast paced job. Definitely have a new found respect for these guys.
I worked at a pizza place. My experience is that I prepped most of the mid afternoon, looked down at 5:30PM to start topping pizzas and the next time I looked up it was 10:30PM and time to clean up
Great teacher, ball buster but compassionate at the same time, the throw away of the dough shows employees hes willing to invest in them and people tend to give more when they know they are being valued and not just another cog in the machine, great vid but c'mon Brad Leone hustle!
I’d watch a cooking show with the owner as the main “chef” or whatever he prefer be called, I love his style. Insulting you with a smirk on his face love it.
Nino is great! Whatta personality. I gotta see if he has his own channel. Either way, keep him featured BA! Also, thank you Brad for the countless good times.
Hearing Nino continually cal him “Brad Leone” just hits in a certain comedic way. This was gold!!
The subtitles being "Bradleyoni" every time was icing, too.
it's like Joey Diaz "Listen to me Joe Rogan"
I also love pizza so much that I have opened a RUclips channel for pizza in my city 😆🇮🇹👋

In the Army there were some Drill Sergeants like this. They would be on your back the whole time but also make you laugh.
The accent. The tough love. The "BRAD LEONE". And then giving him ice cream when the tough love was a little too tough. This is peak new york and I love it.
I miss New York, haven't seen my hometown in years I need to go back
I love how he gives brad a hard time but is very insightful and doesn’t take everything too seriously. Seems like a legit place to work.
he also gave him an ice cream at the end to compensate for the fails, that's a great boss!

Found the comment I was looking for !
The fact that Brad can't stop calling him "Chef" despite being asked not to call him "chef" is hilarious
Probably a hold over from his culinary school days.
I do this too and bartend🤣 didn’t even go to culinary I’m just around great chefs often lol
I was hoping Brad would respond “yes chef” when he asked him not to call him chef.
Ay papi
I get told daily to stop saying sir and i go im sorry sir will do
Ninos banter with Brad is straight character building. Love to see it.
Nino calling him Brad Leone the whole time had me rolling 🤣

This whole episode was great. Huge shout out Nino for keeping us entertained while showcasing how busy a day in the life of a pizza maker is.
As someone who isn't american, this is what I imagine to be peak New York energy.

americans pretending to be italian? yeah i see what you mean
Those two are hilarious together, what a great sitcom.
As a guy who works in a pizzeria and has had to train many, many, many, many, many failures, Brad picked up the techniques absurdly fast. Kudos
He did okay for a guy who works with food everyday I expected better
