In this lesson you will learn how to simplify expressions that involve exponents. First we will review the exponent laws, which tells us when we can add exponents together and when we can multiply exponents.
Next, we will practice simplifying expressions that involve exponents by applying the power rules and exponent laws of algebra.

I am 76 years old. Math was the only subject in high school that I liked. I made below average in all my subjects except math. I made A’s in math, I loved it. Didn’t take algebra but I am really enjoying yours on RUclips. You are the best teacher I have ever listened to. I also earned a 2 year computer programming degree at a local community college many years later. But life got in the way and I never completed my programming career. I really like hearing you teach, keep it up, you are great at it.

I’m currently working on getting my GED and I’m having to go back to basics. Exponents seem so confusing but this teacher is phenomenal. For the first time I was able to follow along and not be confused. Big thanks!
