What a great video! We actually live a mile West of the park so we are blessed and cursed by our proximity to the festivities! One thing I would suggest is that if you try to book an RV spot and they are already booked, go ahead and get on the WAIT list. There were 5000 on that Waitlist this year but I heard from several folks that they still got in. This year the Balloons flew 7 of the 9 days and all the days were clear. We just had some wind that kept them down a couple of days. Options for those days would be to visit Old Town, the Tram (longest tram in North America), any of the Open Spaces along the river, Madrid or Santa Fe. There are also lots of antique stores less that 3 miles from the park on 4th Street. There are 2 train stations pretty close to the park so taking the train to Santa Fe is a nice way to spend the day!
2023 was my first year. My husband and iI were both courtesy drivers on golf cart. We are hoping to volunteer again in 2024. Agreed, lots of unanswered questions and closed roads and redirected traffic and long long lines of traffic. Volunteering is the best job there! Try it. Also, the balloon museum outside the gate was fabulous and reasonably priced.
We were at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, too! We were with the Airstream International Club and were in a lot with @ 150 Airstreams! I am not sure which lot we were in, but it was ideal. We were so close to the field that we could walk back to our trailer if we needed a restroom. We are not early risers, so we didn't wake up as early as we should have the first day. We arrived on September 30th and were supposed to stay until October 4th but left on the third. We thought it was awesome! You are right the weather was very unpredictable. It was supposed to be warm and sunny and in the 80s, but of course it rained. We left a day early because of the weather. We made lots of friends and had a wonderful time. You have to be there to really understand how incredible it is to see that many balloons take off at once. We would go again!
Wow, 150 airstreams is amazing! I would definitely! go again 😊 Even with the weather, it was an amazing site! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time and made friends. That's what it's all about 😁
We actually didn’t get in because of being a creator. We didn’t sign up for the media pass. We actually got in by luck. The system crashed and we sent them a message and asked how long they thought it would be down and they sent us a link to get tickets. We sent the link to others and it was sold out before they could even click on it.
We didn't take it as rude. 😊 I think we just got lucky with the tickets. It's interesting that they sell out so fast when we saw plenty of open RV spots there.
@cindywilliams6265 I didn’t take it as rude at all 😊 I’m sure a lot of creators get in because they have channels. I was just saying we didn’t. (I wish I knew how to use that advantage sometimes 😂)
Many thanks for your recap of the Balloon Fiesta! I'll be heading there for 2024! Fingers crossed that the weather and wind allow the balloons to go up! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Breaks! ::: 🚌🚌🚌
GREAT information. I (Nancy) think I saw a video about staying in the south lot, but not many other tips given, so thanks for your tips. Lot more character balloons than the last time I was there....early 2000's. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! We looked and looked for videos to help us plan and couldn't find much either. Hopefully this will help when planning for the next one 😊 I hope you guys are doing good 🤗
Thank you for all of the great tips about the balloon fiesta! These will be helpful when we make it there some day ;) We appreciate your videos and look forward to them every week.
Been waiting awhile for this video. Cindy is right Harold, it looked like an awesome time. Fireworks look awesome. $400 a person wow😲. Great video guys
Thanks for the video guys! We are going to attempt to get an RV site tomorrow! My questions if this; We plan on arriving on the Wednesday before the fiesta begins but want to leave the following Wednesday or Thursday. How hard is it to get out of there during the week with your RV to leave? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Thanks so much for doing this, it was very informative and as we are planning on heading there this year super helpful. I have a question, maybe you know the answer - do you know if starlink works during this event? I'm not sure if the balloons would be a problem or not. I've been googling but can't seem to find the answer. Great job on this video!
Great question. Our Starlink worked fine. The balloons aren’t in the air and covering the space enough to create any issues. At least they didn’t for us.

I love the Balloon Fiesta. This was my 2nd year and I will be returning next year!
Great info! Heading out that way in a few weeks and staying in the same lot. Thank you for all the help!

I'm going to Albuquerque in October 2024.
We have always wanted to attend the Balloon Fiesta, even before we were RVers! Thank you for all the tips! Loved the video!!
Thanks for watching! I hope you make it to one 😊
It's so hard to get a spot if you aren't a RUclips creator! We have tried 7 years and got in one time. We loved it. Your video is great!

@@cindy.strange I didn't mean that rude at all! I was told that by a volunteer! I'm gonna try again. Every year!

This feels like something we need to experience once.
Definitely!!!

This is the best video I’ve found for advice and info on the Fiesta. Thanks for being packed with great information!
Thank you for that! We do our best to share our learnings. ☺️
Looks soooo fun. Can’t imagine waking up every morning to all those balloons! 🧡🧡
It was totally worth the early wake up 😁
Great video! Ty for the info I’m going to save for 2025 !

As usual, it’s a wonderful video, I’m sure y’all had a wonderful time. It was very beautiful to see all the balloons and other festivities.
Thanks Daddy! It was a great time 😘
Thank you for all the info! Safe travels!
You’re welcome! ☺️ to you as well.

I know, I know. Lol. It was a great time but we know what to expect next time. ☺️
I just looked for some rates on rainbow ryders and sat-sun is 625 per person 😱 and during the week it’s 525 😮
Great video guys! Definitely a lot of great info to consider if we would ever attend!
Hope you get to attend one day. It was a lot of fun. ☺️
We were there several years ago for a conference for hubby. We missed it by a couple of days. One day we will make it
You won't be disappointed when you do make it!
Thank you all for coming to our beautiful home ❤
Great video and awesome information. Can you confirm the app is called park advisor. Safe travels and enjoy your adventure.
Type “parkadvisor” with no spaces. Thumbnail is a little camper. Thank you so much!
@@1StrangeAdventure Got it and downloaded it.
@@papasbus3598 awesome! ☺️
Have not camped at the balloon fiesta ~ planning to attend 2023 ~ was there wi-Fi
The only wifi we had was what we provided. Starlink did well there.
Great video!!
Thank you!!!

I'd like to go back.
Yes! Us too. ☺️
Hi, can list a link or website to go and book for the North lot please
Do they strictly enforce no generators at night?
Yes, we’ve already got next years tickets.
That’s great! Enjoy!!! ☺️
Are we allowed to get into a bicycle?
They don’t allow bikes on the field. They have an area to “check” bikes so you can ride them to the gate
I would like to go but my parents don't like to travel.
I'm gonna guess that Makayla is a Sagittarius and Nick is a Scorpio.
I completely agree with you.
