Have enjoyed this brief interlude 5+ times, listening more acutely each instance. Meaningful words, soothingly stated.... 'low-tech from Q Branch'...love it.
Joseph, most kind. The Catholic argument for family I think lies somewhere in this tone. Christian family life has been appropriated by a worldly lens and in a few generations been leach of its spiritual value which in reality has left no more than a disposable pursuit. I enjoy much of our pop culture canon and delight where I can re appropriating to Our Lord. Not least 'Q branch'.
I will say that I have immense respect for those who pursue parenthood with a commitment toward excellence in that role. People who wake up every morning dedicated to being the supermom or superdad who gives everything they have for their families are necessary and inspiring. I also think there's other ways to contribute to your community for those who don't see the family life as a good fit for their personality or other life goals. Could Nikola Tesla have done as much to elevate the mind of mankind if he pursued a family on top of his research?maybe, but likely not. I think as long as we all either as individuals or family units pursue endeavors that add to the well-being of everyone around us, we're participating in the "village" that it takes to raise children. So while the idyllic vision of marriage and children is a great choice, it's not necessarily selfish or materialistic to make other choices. I'll agree with someone else I saw who complimented the cinematography. Very nice.
So happy to see more episodes coming! Praying for your ministry 🙏
