This is part 1 of making our new greenhouse with discarded trampolines that we sourced for free from the internet.
UPDATE: We have been asked how we joined the tops as we didnt show this very well (camera and sound issues) We will do an update soon for you all.

That’s such an awesome idea 🥰 .. I held on to my sons old trampoline frame, when his mat had a big tree branch go though it. I know what Iam going to be using them for now.

I recently took down my daughters and saved for this exact purpose. Great video! I save and repurpose as much as I can. I stored a old frame for a pop up canopy for 12 years until last dove season I modified for a dove decoy perch. My wife loves/hates the ingenuity! Great job!!

Great video. I've had 2 14 foot trampoline frames saved since last year and came across another one this morning. The tarps work as great summer shade for a dog pen or greenhouse. They work out to about 80% shade which is perfect for growing in the 105F+ degree summer days of Kansas. I'll be doing this pronto for fall growing. Hopefully, I can keep a compost pile at one end to keep some heat going when it cools down. I really like how descriptive you make this build. I have a small A-frame stored with the same diameter posts, I'll try to use for braces. You've got me motivated now. Much appreciated.

Sounds great! Post on your local "free to take" and facebook marketplace and you will be surprised how many people in your town will have old trampolines they are happy to give away. Good luck!

Glad it was helpful! It is a great way to upcycle and re-use what is regarded as rubbish and the resulting high tunnel has been a great addition to the farm.

Great idea and very clear instructions. How did you make the (lengtwise) connection at the middle 2 arches? If I understand well there are no welded lugs like at the outer 2 arches. Thank you for your answer!

Hi, thanks for watching. I have had that question asked a few times. We did film that but lost all the audio. I am going to do another video just to address this soon. I will let you know when it's up 🙂

Nice job but I'm wondering you never showed us how you connected the top center pipes since all the inserts are facing in one direction. So if you set up loop one you point in one direction you set up loop two you point in the opposite direction obviously you can connect the pipes between but then there's no way to insert the pipe on the other side of the loop and you've got the pipe going all the way across and you did not show us what you did I thought you would put two loops together in your first one cuz it was much shorter so what did you do did you weld the piece of pipe on

Hi Wayne, we have been asked this a few times. We did film it but we lost sound during it so didn't make the cut. We are going to do a quick update soon on how we did it using the left over connectors for the legs on the trampoline.

Hi thanks for the video. It's given me a few ideas.
Could you tell us briefly how you fixed the top rail please as there's only sockets on one side of the hoop? Couldn't find another another video explaining this. Thanks.

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply. I am going to have to do a video on this as I have been asked this a few times. I did film this at the time but the audio cut out and I didnt put it in. I actually cut off a bracket from another arch and screwed it on to the other side. I just used an angle grinder to do that. Then I put on some aluminum tape to protect the cloth from sharp edges.
