Oh thanks, now i understand how to lay up. I am beginner at basket ball bc my friend invited me and i still cant do lay up, but with this video i maybe can do it
For the people who don’t know travel rules this is not a travel it’s called a father step which is a 0 step. Also you can take as many steps you want as long as your dribble is in motion and follows it’s path.
Video title promised a slow motion layup, and i got a slow motion layup. I should be satisfied, and yet i am left wanting. What have i become? A monster? No... Yes... No... Yes! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I'm almost 70, but in the late 60's, the generally acceptable practice was only 1 and 1/2 steps after the dribble pick up. If your foot hit the floor on the second step, it was a travel. Apparently, now you can take a "gather step", then a European step, then a couple more steps too the hoop. I don't get it or like it, but my day has passed...
@@hamburgerhelpertastesbad are you blind or just simply dumb? he clearly stepped 2 times, the foot that was already on the ground when he gathered the ball doesnt count, so after he gathered the ball he did 2 steps and released the ball, is this so hard to conclude?
@@2kcc Bro The first step that you think is not counting It's used for taking the ball in your hand And you are not allowed to take 2 steps You're allowed to take 2½ steps 2 steps and one jump
