    I've always been curious how people have such clean looking bikes, every bike in my area looks like it's been owned by a whole gang of apes

    100,000 before a rebuild is quite good.

    Had one just like it, had a guy on a spotters on the highway who thought he would blow me off, boy I bet he felt stupid when I pulled away from him, took off road and did some jumps, first mirrors broke off then turn signals, and then the tank started to leak, sold it.

    Hi friend, sorry if the translation is bad, I'm making a video that tells some story about this bike, can I use a few seconds of your video? I will mention you and leave a link to your video. Thank you

      Sorry for the late response. I love this bike. A little more power than the latest ones and just a torque monster. I hope you got a good one......I don't think you'll be sorry!

    did you struggle to find a modern pipe that fit? I cant seem to find a pipe that will fit the pre 97. Would love to know how you fit it on.. Thanks

      This is an old Yoshimura pipe made for pre 96 I purchased many years ago. It's hit and miss to find a decent one used on ebay. I believe there is a seller from Russia or something selling little shorty ones that would fit pre 96 new. There have been some folks who have fitted old tl1000 cans and other types on older DRs.......which would require some fabricating. Like many items for pre 96 bikes they are getting scarce and hard to find.

    Is that a FM radio Antenna or CB

    • @knappyfeet3231
      @knappyfeet3231  4 года назад +2

      I'm an Amateur Radio operator and that's a quarter wave 2-meter antenna that I use for my small HT 2 meter radio(VX8GR) I have mounted up front. It gives me a little better range but more importantly the little rubber duck antenna is not in my way up front. So many times I've accidentally hit it or knock my radio off.

    where'd you get that exhaust pipe heat guard?

    • @knappyfeet3231
      @knappyfeet3231  4 года назад +1

      It is a custom made carbon fiber piece that was molded using the exhaust pipe. I painted it black when it started to look ugly......about 4 or 5 years after it was made

      Hello John.
      I purchased it many years ago......before the year 2000......at Cycle Parts West in San Diego CA. They said it was the last one Yoshimura had. I do not know if that was true but they seem to be unobtanium now. I've owned many systems for this machine and this one is the best constructed, most durable and has a very nice sound to it that the video doesn't really capture for the viewer. I've seen one on ebay before so they pop up here and there.
