Ryan Bang is the perfect translator here. He made the talk feel more funny, homely, and seamless for both parties. He pretty much captured what the members were saying albeit exaggerated in some ways 🤣

@@prasithoudomvilay8454 I understand why it may seem Ryan made the translation longer. Viewers should know that Manny is bisaya so his main language is not tagalog. He can speak and understand but ofcourse with so many languages here, sometimes we have words that have the same spelling but means different in 2 diff regions.
Ryan did very well to convey the message from korean to tagalog for Manny.

I agree. When translating other languages to Filipino, it doesn’t always have to be a word-for-word translation but ‘contextual’. Just because Ryan sometimes talked in ‘longer sentences’ when translating what the RM cast said to Manny, complete with facial expressions and gestures, it seemed to them that Ryan added more to what they said.😊

@samuraiman7777 Actually, from what I've seen in the video. It's just one of our ways to get someone's attention. Since Manny is a really influential person not only in the PH but globally. Ryan can't just call him by his name straight up since he's also working as Manny's intertrepter at the given moment.

Ryan did well in translating. He translated it in a conversational way and with feelings so manny will feel relaxed and entertained as well.
It's just so funny when he does translate everything they said but add what he wants like the compliment to himself or exaggerate of what they say

Ryan was the perfect translator. 😂 He's naturally very animated and loud so it suits the Filipino humor very well, but his translations were accurate! 😂
Ryan also has great facial expressions! He seems so comfortable with the members that it was so fun to watch

I love how Running Man really incorporated Ryan's dialogues here. He's funny and he also deserves to get recognized in his home country as much as filipinos enjoy his antics 😂 This ep was far different from that one from, I think from IC when he was just literally a translator for Manny.
The Filipino words written in Korean was so hilarious. Maybe that's how Ryan's language brain works 😂 Also the talk felt like they're just one letter away from understanding each other
Ryan is not simply translating the words... he's translating a whole culture
That's how translating works... you translate the essence, not necessarily the exact words.

I think it's only right that he was translating the compliment for him as well. It shows respect to Manny. That way Manny won't wonder what was being said in front of him.
The translation was actually perfect. The RM pips are not just really familiar with how Filipino describe things. Ryan, apart from being a comedian, is already a true Pinoy by heart.
I'm sure Ryan was delighted as well to be part of this episode! Running Man is still relatively popular in Korea so his family there would get to watch him be funny on their TVs too.

I'm from the PH, and I've enjoyed seeing Ryan Bang on TV since his Pinoy Big Brother stint. He is one of those TV personalities that are funny without them trying so hard to be. Like they're just naturally goofy.

❤❤❤... 🤣😂... Like everyone saying here, Ryan Bang did a good job translating. He's actually on point not exaggerated. That's just how he talk. He understands both culture. So he is the perfect translator.
That translator is one of the biggest comedian we look up to here in the Philippines.
Ryan's expressions in translating it to Filipino actually helps Manny to understand the context of what was said because we actually talk with "emotions". It's only funny now that the Koreans just noticed it from Ryan but I thought what Ryan did was a typical, natural Filipino conversational expression. Every Pinoy who can translate from other languages to Filipino would surely do exactly what Ryan did here. That's just how Filipinos converse.

As a Filipino American Ryan was accurate with his Tagalog translations he just adds the Filipino chismis tone to the translation that makes it and conveys it accurately lol

I think maybe also because Filipino (Tagalog?) is a longer language than Korean. Like the same sentence in English is longer than in Korean, Chinese and Japanese because those languages have no pronouns, articles, etc. I dont speak Filipino but it sounds like he's adding on stuff because the sentences are so long

I've tried choosing Filipino caption before and long sentences would take up half the screen and I have to speed read otherwise I'm only halfway through the caption but then it changes to the next instantly.😂

His translation is actually on point though, and that's really Ryan Bang's personality, he is really enthusiastic, the way Filipinos love about him.
His translation is not world by world but it's literally how Filipino talk 😂❤

I think Ryan was offered for a variety show by SBS way back 2018 but he declined as I think he has Showtime(variety show in Phil) at that time and just chose to stay here in the Philippines but when he was interviewed I think last 2021, he kinda regretted it. Hope he gets offered again. 😊
That's really the way of how Ryan speaks wether it's in English, Hangul or Tagalog 😂😂 And its maybe also aside from the fact that he is a comedian.
I love seeing Sandara and Ryan speak in Tagalog. Their whole mannerisms change. You can just tell they are more comfortable being themselves in tagalog and their personalities become chill and laid back. Us koreans need to live more like the filipinos and enjoy life and be happy .

Ryan Bang is natural comedian, has bubbly personality that's why his like that when translating maybe they doesn't aware of that since his Korean living in the Philippines he adapt that friendly atmosphere in him, his friends are more bubbly than him like Vhong, Vice, Anne etc.😍❤👏

Edit: Viewers should know that Manny is bisaya so his main language is not tagalog. Manny can speak and understand tagalog but ofcourse but with so many languages and spoken dialects here it's a really good of Ryan to make extra effort to convey what they really want to say to each other. Ryan did very well in conveying (not straight translating) the message from korean to tagalog for Manny.

We're so used to Ryan Bang because that's how he is most of the time. The translations were on point 100% and him translating the compliment was to make Manny feel included in the conversation even if it wasn't directed to him.
