cheers! talking to profs and optometrists would be the first step. I’d also try looking up and reaching out to chrrent optometry students on IG or LinkedIn.
it depends vastly on what you need the letters for. a job application is probably going to be more flexible than a professional school application, for example
Hey! May I ask how you reached out to the peole you reached out to? What did you write in those messages? And what would the interactions then look like? I am wondering how you just tell someone you want to talk to them and then do it without it being awkward.
great question! it was often a cold email or message over linkedin/IG. It was a pretty simple message, something along the lines of: hi my name is jin i'm a _____ year undergrad student and i'm really interested in the work that you do for reasons xyz. i had abc questions about this and i would love the chance to chat with you about how you got to where you are" I was surprised by how willing most people were to spend half an hour over zoom or at a cafe just to chat about their careers
"Just meeting and talking to people isn't going to accomplish anything by itself". Have you heard of an MBA program?
thanks for your input!
no i haven't. please kindly explain, thanks in advance

@@DrJinKwon Thanks! How would you say to get letters of recommendation, and is there a certain database/website/format they need to be?
