  • This video is reviewing Winterplace Ski Resort in Southern West Virginia.
When someone thinks of West Virginia snowboarding, most people will jump straight to Snowshoe, Timberline, or Canaan Valley.
But many people are missing West Virginia’s forth ski resort, called Winterplace
I review 5 categories about this ski mountain and give it a total score out of 100 at the r d of the video.
    Have you been to Winterplace?
What did or didn’t you like about it?

Great coverage on smaller mountains. They are the backbone for all beginners.

Thank you! I try to look at small & big resorts because sometimes there’s a smaller resort that is just as good without the crazy price tag

Oh my gosh this was one of my favorite ski resorts that I went to when I was a kid. I went here like at least 5+ times. I remember my favorite slope was either cascade or panarama (I think those were the names)

Their prices are cheaper than beech mountain, but an extra 2 hours away. I live in Georgia and beech is normally 5-6 hours away and I try to go once a month for a weekend. I think this season I am going to go the extra (hundred) miles! It looks so worth it. I also love night sessions so that's a super extra plus!
The only issue is I car camp and am not familiar with the area at all.

@@ralkros681 for us Winterplace was easy to access and it’s right off the highway, instead of the usual mountain roads. But once you get off towards the ski resort there’s a small town. I haven’t done much car camping but I’m sure you could find something with a little research

I’ve been to both a few times, I think overall beech is the better mountain but winterplace has its place (I’ll be here all week).
      Also coming from Georgia!

Do you have any more footage of the terrain park? it wasn't open the last few times I've been there over the years

I have footage on the terrain park, but it was raining 🌧️ so a lot of it is full of water drops 💦
The terrain park was minimal when I visited. There were 3 rollers, a rail, and a box. The park was small but did have its own lift

@@AdventureLife365 haha figures. I'm so bored of just going down runs and back up over and over. I want to catch some air! lol

@dc2guy2 ya I hear that, Snowshoe isn’t too far from Winterplace and has several different park trails you should check out. Also, Massanutten has a descent amount of features for a smaller resort depending on where you’re looking to ride
