Hey guys, welcome back to my RUclips channel! Today, I wanted to share with you a traditional Chinese/Asian-style home on the waterfalls in The Sims 4. I was inspired by the beauty and elegance of this architectural style, and I wanted to challenge myself by incorporating it into my design.
My creative process involved a lot of research on traditional Chinese/Asian architecture, including the use of wood, stone, and flowing water. I also studied the landscape of waterfalls to ensure that my design would blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
Of course, building on the waterfalls came with its own set of challenges. I had to carefully consider the placement of each element to ensure that it was structurally sound and wouldn't cause any damage to the environment. But in the end, I'm really proud of how it turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed building it!

How to Install Tray Files and Custom Content:
1. When you access the provided link on CurseForge, navigate to the "FILES" section.
2. Locate the main file and click on it to open it.
3. Download the main file and all RELATED projects + links in the description if there are some
4. Place my file into the "Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 - TRAY FOLDER," and the remaining custom content into the "Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 - MODS FOLDER."
5. Don't forget to unpack all of the archived files.

If you want to change my original walls or wallpapers, for all the clutter to stay in place, you need to install the mod from the Twisted Mexi and turn on deletion protection as an option in BBB's filter panel. Turn it on while necessary and turn it back off immediately after.

First type: ctrl + shift + c
Then type: testingcheats true - press enter
Next cheat: bb.showhiddenobjects

In the search menu type: DEBUG
AND UNLOCK DEBUG SECTION

not to be pedantic but moon gate typically is Chinese architecture style so naturally it was not included in snowy escape also you don’t see moon gates in Felix’s Kyoto set either so it all makes sense I believe Felix is very well educated in architecture to be creating these amazing ccs

Felix is very educated indeed even though he used a book about traditional Chinese furniture for the reference when he was doing Fayun. So basically he took the elements from it that he liked and maked them for the Sims.
With that being said Mt. Komorebi is the only Asian-inspired world. God only knows when we're going to get another one... So it's a miss opportunity that we've got only Japanese furniture, don't you think? If you're a creative person who likes to travel and see the beauty in every culture and country you can only be sad because we literally have a few Europian worlds, 1 Japanese world and no African worlds. All of the other worlds are strickly American. Not everybody can have cc or mods in their game and it would only be fair that ppl get more options that they like and get more versitility. When we got Tartosa, it was inspired by many Mediterranean countries. Not only one. Even though they are all different and have different elements. Which is ok since Tartosa is the only world where we can truly build Mediterranean houses. They could've, definitely, done the same with Mt. Komorebi.
@@Simsphony i want cultural diversity in the sims 4 as much as any other players (even tho i might not be a huge world traveler like you might be) but in the case of mt. komorebi which was clearly only inspired by Japan to be specific Honshū and Hokkaido, from lots names (which clearly deviates from how sims 4 usually names lots in other worlds) to the townies names to the newly created lot type Onsen Bathhouse to the landscaping styles all exclusive and stereotypical to Japan, seems to me not a good idea to incorporate Chinese culture into the pack if just for the sake of having more items, and not having any other Chinese inspired elements in the world. had the sims team made an Asian fusion world, for example, dividing the neighborhoods into Japan, South Korea, and China inspired neighborhoods, then by all means add diverse items from all 3 countries. to add items from other culture to a purely Japanese inspired world is not only culturally insensitive but also, to be quite frankly, a cultural misappropriation. as for the case of tartosa, like you mentioned yourself, it was inspired by Mediterranean countries in general, including costal Italy, Croatia, southeastern costal Spain and southern France, which makes it open to diverse items in the game. but to be honest, i don’t see that much of diversity in this pack either. there are only two sets of windows and doors for residential and wedding venue builds, can’t be that representative of the diverse Mediterranean culture. as for the furniture, they are all wedding related items with diversity in different wedding types in different countries (from what i can see that includes western style, Chinese style, and Indian style), not diversity in Mediterranean culture. but i’m not an expert in Mediterranean culture so clearly you have more authority in this matter. also not saying you can’t build Asian fusion style in the game, in fact i myself is a huge fantasy artwork fan as well, that’s why i watch your channel. just saying that when it comes to game development, it might be better to avoid cultural misappropriation in general. after all, snowy escape already incited some sort of fuel between the Japanese players and South Korean players (about the bowing to a shrine from what i understand). but when it comes to players’ creations, by all means go wild. create builds however you want. the sky is unlimited.

I'm obsessed with the colour palettes you used in this build- red is a very traditional Chinese colour and it looks amazing with that dark floor! And your landscaping is magnificent as always

you killed this! and yes, while Asia ofc has a lot of different nations and distinct cultures, I think a little mix of different elements can be forgiven in the sims :) esp when it turns out this gorgeous! the landscape especially, I love it. landscaping big lots is my weak spot cause I want it to turn out absolutely perfect, but don't have enough patience to see it through lol. thanks for sharing

hey! I love your build a lot its so beautiful! I wanted to ask where did you get the cc from?
I really wish they gave us a chinese world already. I also wish they did more culture themed kits. Especially multiple kits from the same culture.
Ive given up on not using cc 😅 it irks me that the same items get reused over and over in residential lots. Commercial makes sense but me personally, i wont buy a decor piece twice for my own home i wont use it twice for the sims.
It is important to me that if im visiting a different world in the sims the houses have their own unique vibe that brings that world and its cultures alive. So ill see things there that i wont see elsewhere.
Anyway, rant over, this is the most amazing asian build ive seen so far ❤ perfect honeymoon or just a romantic get away 😍 hopefully we have same cc as i really would love to download this.

Your build is really stunning ! And I really like the traditional Chinese architecture too, the moon door is so elegant and beautiful, hope one day EA will make a Chinese pack. And i feel this building set-up is really familiar, it looks like a building in one famous Chinese series drama, could you share the Pinterest link of the picture you use as reference?
this is an awesome build i really loved it!! but a note to you, asian is a pretty big continent and diverse in culture, and this build captures more of the east asian style

I basically used everything that I have in this build. Felixandre has Fayun and Kyoto sets, and the Clutter Cat has some as well. I think I haven't used Kawaii Kidz from her. Custom Content builds are on CurseForge because you need to download custom content that I used anyway to get the complete build. Also, creators get a small fee from the website, and it's free of charge for you.
Non custom content builds are always on the gallery.

Hello lovely, this is absolutely gorgeous! I have downloaded the CC listed on the Curseforge download description, however it says there's 518 items missing? 🥺
Have you tried it out? Sims has a bug. It's says that items are missing while they aren't. Also, did you have bb.moveobjects on while placing the build? 518 items is a lot 😅❤️

Is there a reason you don’t put the house in the gallery? I love this house and you’re very talented, but jumping through all of the hoops in order to use a build seems a bit ridiculous when there is a gallery.
Yes but unfortunately you can't download custom content from the gallery. That's why I'm putting everything on the same place.

You need to unpack the file first. Then put my house in the tray folder and all the custom content into the mods folder. 🤗❤️
How to you move/slide objects with TOOL without using X,Y ?
I would recommend you to watch Twisted Mexi's tutorials here on RUclips. They are super simple to follow, and that's the option that is 2 years old. Maybe even more 😅❤️
Where can I find the rocks and waterfalls?
Rocks are from Jungle Adventure, and the waterfall is from Island Living. These are Live edit objects. 😊

I stopped uploading cc builds to the gallery since I can't publish the cc list with it, so it's no use. Unfortunately everything would be empty. But I also love building without cc sometimes. I'm a big fan of traditional architecture with a lot of details, that's why I need cc. But there are still many cute styles I can do without it, so when I get a good idea, I go for it! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

Paused the video to say, I know exactly what you mean when you say slowly forgetting your own language (I'm danish and fluent in english) I have younger cousins who sometimes don't know the words for something in danish so they just use the english word for it, cousins who have barely even started school yet, but who watch so many english language youtube videos and such, that they sometimes know that language better than their own and it actually has me a little scared for the future of my language, sometimes
I've been to Copenhagen and I can tell you... Girl, your ppl is killing the English language! Everybody's so good at it that I wasn't sure am I in England 🤣 Don't worry. It's always a good thing to learn more languages! Danish will prevail anyways! 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
