My Mother worked for A&P for 30 years...And Eight O'clock was the ONLY coffee we had at home. I drank it then and do now, but only as a nostalgic air of remembrance. It still is good for store bought coffee.....
I grew up with family that made coffee from the old blends and the ones from the vacuum packed bricks. As I got old enough to appreciate coffee, I started off with folgers because it was cheap and made a pretty good cup of coffee. Working construction I was making a thermos full every morning and I still go back to it. These days I experiment with different blends. I've done Black Rifle and it's good for me, but my favorite online coffee these days is Bones. They make some pretty good flavors. I've also developed an obsession with owning all of the hand thrown mugs I can get my hands on from them. Awesome video, glad to know my taste for folgers isn't just because I was poor and all I could afford!
Community coffee breakfast blend using an Aeropress is my daily choice. Tried the Folger's coffeehouse this morning using the Aeropress, surprisingly nice cup of coffee. Thanks for the video. Never would have tried it but now I will alternate it with the Community coffee.
I’ve been drinking Folgers for years. I believe I’ve built up a tolerance because I do not follow the instructions but put about 4 more then the recommended scoops. Gives you a velvety texture too. #bartendersblend #caffeineebuzz
@NukelearFallout Obviously you value their opinion on this video or you wouldn't be watching it and folgers got #1 😂 Always gonna hate on something. Might as well be folgers
This was amazing! We've done blind tasting with bottled water and vodka... The problem I see with trying it with coffee is how each cup works against one another... without a palette cleanser.
James Hoffmann doesn't clean the pallette but he also doesn't drink the coffee when it is just brewed as flavor is more obvious as it cools. He also tastes from a spoon. I think this must give just small amounts rather than sipping. He has a video on order of tasting and how it impacts. I'd think smoking would totally dull the taste -- so coffee wouldn't even matter.
Folgers Black Silk is my go to. Just a really simple, easy coffee. It’s super cheap and I can buy a giant tub of it. It also makes great cold brew if that’s your thing
If you want to make most coffee good out of a drip machine add a pinch of salt in the grounds before brewing. It cuts down on the bitter/ sourness of it. I learned that when I was working on a boat and all they had was Folgers but for some reason that particular boats folgers tasted a hell of a lot better when the turn over crew made coffee.
The best coffee I ever had in my 50+ yrs was from King Corona in Ybor City / Tampa Bay area. Since then I still haven't had any better cup of coffee I wish I brought some home with me from that trip. 😕
The Folgers Black Silk (pre ground) is my weekday morning go to for coffee. When I have time to grind my own beans I like Colectivo Black & Tan. There is a coffee roaster in the town where I work and they have an outstanding Sumatra Mandheling. I need to get some of them beans. #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
I remember liking Yuban coffee, but definitely when it comes to preground coffee I prefer cafe du monde for French press and cafe bustelo if I’m making mokapot
Thumbs up for the Dr. Evil reference alone but just a few minutes in I love your style, sound great, seen like just cool fun people. Tried O Organics Guatemala blend recently out of desperation, was pretty good but go-to's are Big Bang (on sale), Trader Joe's Breakfeast Blend or Costco/Kirkland Colombian. Can't beat that last one for the price imo. Anyway subbed.
Well done sir...and Ma'am! If you ever shop at Costco, the two of you might enjoy Costco's 'Don Pablo coffee. It is a 100% Arabic Coffee, non-GMO, low acidic, whole bean coffee. It is the wife and my preferred coffee...we make monthly runs to Costco and buy four 2-pound bags each month. It is either really good coffee or we just drink way too much coffee! LOL.
Love the video man! Big Al is a blast on the channel and love seeing her on your videos. Really brings out a good side of you. Keep it up and like always, can't wait for the next one!
Death Wish medium hits the spot for me. Haven't tried their other roasts but I tend to pick medium over dark. I like most Peet's as well, usually some nice chocolate and nutty notes without harsh bitterness.
Wow, what interesting results! for my everyday bean grinding, I get a 2 lb bag of LaVazza espresso roast on Amazon for about $13 and mix it with a lighter roasted bean from a local Chicago co, via Costco 2 lb bag for $17.
I enjoyed the video and your channel. Here in Calif, Peets isn't only available in supermarkets, they are a chain of coffee shops that compete with Starbucks. I'm currently enjoying a Peets Italian Roast.
My only qualification is 30+ years in the Navy, where we drank the coffee all night and polished the brass with it in the morning. Having my palate cleansed my whole life. I do grind my own every night and prefer the simple Smart and Final Whole bean coffee. The real test here is the pre-order ground coffee, to me, more distinctive. Save yourselves, its where the real diff ends is...
Honestly Jeremy, you should have gotten the Death Wish Dark Roast (their standard offering). The dark roast and the espresso roast blow the medium roast out of the water. I agree with you about the medium having a strange almost sour note but the dark and espresso both have good chocolate notes to them
I only buy whole bean coffee. I use a stovetop percolator or a french press. I recently bought an 8 o'clock coffee, The Italian espresso dark roast offering, and it is really yummy, and the price ain't too bad either. Happy trails...
One of the best cup of coffee I’ve had was at my bank. So good I had to ask what it was. Folgers. I didn’t know what to make of that. How its made has a big difference. I’ve had Folgers so acidic it felt like licking a 9V. To one of the best cups waiting in line at the bank.
Peet’s Major Dickasons blend is IMO the best coffee on the planet.. again my opinion..mainly because it reminds me of what coffee in an old 1943 black and white movie at a diner would taste like. Thick, dark, robust , and just simple black coffee
Fun and entertaining video. I have been meaning to get try some Black Rifle, so will give the AK a try. Tried to get Hair Missile, but it sold too fast. One of my go to coffees is Laughing Man Hugh’s Blend. Cheers.
love this video. I love me a nice scorching hot dark coffee. I have a Ninja coffee machine and love it because it does brew my coffee very hot. Hate, HATE, lukewarm coffee.
I have a tendency to mix the last bit of whatever I’m using with the next bag I purchase. Usually different brands. Half the time I’m drinking a Folgers, Peets, Dunkin concoction. #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
I like black rifle or Maxwell House house blend/Gourmet Blend but here lately I've had a taste for chock full of nuts brand. It's a really good coffee.
I would definitely recommend the dark roast DW coffee but you will get those fruity notes still. I tend to add about a tablespoon of sugar to mine and it makes all the difference.
I love any kind of blinds. Whiskey, coffee, etc. Great to see how things fare without any preconceived thoughts or opinions. I also enjoy BRCC, so maybe I’ll have to give one of these a try just to see. Another banger of a video. #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Y’all had me dying of laughter with the “basic” taste commentary lmao. I grew up on Folgers since I was a kid so I feel vindicated. Good and entertaining video!
Jeremy, I feel your pain brother. My wife is the same in the morning. I call her moody Doris (her name is Lisa) until the coffee kicks in, which winds her up even more but then I run 🤣. The children don't even come down until she has had her injection of caffeine and shhh don't mention the sticks. 🤣 Great content as always, Thank You. #BARTENDERBLEND #CAFFEINEEBUZZ
This is the second video of yours I have watched. First was on the new Traeger flattop. I would like to mention and recommend a great veteran owned coffee company out of Ohio. Actually a husband and wife team, who started out in their garage and now has expanded to a larger space and gave BRCC the idea of their coffee truck. The company is Iron Bean Coffee Company. Owners are Fred and Chanel.
#Bartendersblend. #CaffeineBuzz. I watch your videos with my husband. We love them. And we love that you include your wife and a lot of them. You guys are great. Keep on bringing on the videos.
Using more coffee does not always mean it will be stronger, it can make it taste worse/weaker actually. You can use less coffee than you think and get a much clearer flavor out of it if you get the grind size and brew ratios dialed in. Folgers likely won because their recommended ratio makes a more fully extracted brew, which leads to a more balanced/flavorful cup (weaker in strength perhaps, but clearer/cleaner). But I do agree. Dunkin and Peets are by far my favorite when I buy from grocery store. I tried 8-oclock but never like it, it always tasted sour to me (and I enjoy fruity/bright roasts). My preferred brew methods are Aeropress, French Press, and V60. Good vid :)
I have seen black rifle coffee at Walmart but I don't know if it is in all stores. Never had there whole beans but I like the RTD they have in the cans.
I am so particular about my coffee and also my pocket. It has to be very good and very cheap. I have tried so many from the cheapest to the most expensive . And I have tried all all on this video. But I found my happy medium: 1. San Francisco Bay Coffee- French roast- Dark Roast 2. Barissimo- Midnight Blend- Arabica- Dark Roast 3. Black Rifle- Beyond Black- Excelso Roast- Dark Roast That’s my list 1 being my favorite ❤️
I guess the best way to do this in order to avoid loosing sensibility of your palate, it's to make a cupping technique using a cupping spoon and doing some slurping and spitting; working with coffee and we do coffee tasting at least one monthly and when we cup some samples (~15-30 coffees) it's really hard after 10 coffees to choose well, but overall was a funny thing 👌
We have Black Rifle in our break room. It smells and tastes burnt to me. Tried it at home where I could control the brew. Still nothing but burnt smell and taste. I'm usually a Caribou Coffee Caribou blend drinker. My parents always drank Foldgers. I might have to buy a can.
Try some different roasts from BRC if the one you’ve had was too burnt tasting for you. They have a bunch of different blends and roast levels. Everything from super dark to very fruity light roasts. 😎👍🏻
Peet’s has been my go to if I’m feeling lazy and just toss in a k cup on the keurig. Folgers has never disappointed if I’m just throwing a scoop in the mug. Death wish has been my consistent pour over along with a local Colombian shop. Pretty sure I’ve built up a tolerance cause I drink it like Dr Pepper. Gave my friend a cup and had the jitters the rest of the day and was freaking out lol
I was a Fireman for 20 years. Folgers was a staple at the firehouse. We’d brew 10 pots a day. Now that I’m retired, I still buy Folgers. I’ve been wanting to buy better coffee. Maybe I will need to reevaluate.
Another fantastic video Don’t ever underestimate the best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup ☕️. Folgers is my go to camping coffee done in a percolator. #bartendersblend #caffeineebuzz
Funny episode yall lol! Hey I must be a basic B with coffee as well because I like Dunkin and I rock Folgers sometimes too. I plan to get whole beans and grind them up as I use to do sometimes. I tell you what something about the fresh grind I feel it has way more robust flavor and seems so much smoother. Great job yall and looking forward to catching up on more of your vidoes Jeremy. Have a good one!
I live upstate New York death wish coffee is made around Lake not far from me about half hour north of Albany or local small town business you have 2 cups of coffee from them you’ll be shaken
Dunkin’ is my go-to if I’m stuck buying coffee from a grocery store on vacation. It’s not bad. And Folgers actually isn’t horrible either! It has pretty good flavor. I am super snobby about coffee too, much more than even y’all. This was fun to watch, especially when you both tasted Folgers & discussed the notes hahaha! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
So get this. At my walmart, they stocked some black rifle coffee. And it just sat. So they sey up a feature and marked them all down to $1 each from the $15 or so it was originally priced at. Sold immediately. Didn't know it was a popular brand or considered any good. My interest is piqued.
Definitely agree Cheaper doesn’t always mean bad, and grinding your own beans and alternate brew methods can make a world of difference! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Dunkin and McD's coffee has always been excellent for me.... unfortunately (for me) I pretty much stopped drinking coffee and got into tea. That is not cheap. lol
Great video guys. Jeremy I can relate to the early morning wife diversion. My personal go to is 8 o'clock but I buy the whole bean mainly cause we have a coffee grinder and I LIKE TO USE IT.
Always interesting blind tests. Deathwish is great when fresh it does have a slightly different flavor because of the method used for getting the caffeine up. I’m surprised it was so cheap I haven’t bought it in a while last time I did it was $20. My goto is still Black Rifle from Ace since they are closer to my house than any grocery store. #bartendersblend #caffeineebuzz #caffeinebuzz
Big fan, Sir! Have you tried the Jack Daniels or Jim Beam coffees yet? Maybe a review video on the coffees made with whiskey? Seems on point for the channel!
Awesome video, Jeremy!! Love to see you and Big Al have such similar pallets with whiskey and now also with coffee. I think a fun video would be to take the exact same coffee, and brew it in different ways to see how each brew style changes its flavor (pour over, french press, typical coffee maker, etc.) Have a great week you two! #BARTENDERSBLEND #CAFFEINEBUZZ
I am usually a Dunkin guy (i stop on my way to work) so I was happy to see it toward the top! I split time between there and the local coffee truck. At home, since I only drink it there on the weekends we just use Cometeer coffee pucks. Cometeer (most of them) I can drink black and it is super easy for an iced or frozen coffee. I'll have to give Bartenders Blend a try. #bartendersblend #cafeineebuzz

The Cafe Special is my daily go to. It is truly an amazing coffee
I wouldn’t consider myself to be a “coffee snob” in any way, but I love coffee w/ a bold, rich flavor bc I drink it black
I’ve been drinking Folgers for years. I believe I’ve built up a tolerance because I do not follow the instructions but put about 4 more then the recommended scoops. Gives you a velvety texture too. #bartendersblend #caffeineebuzz
Just get a stronger coffee blend. You'll save money, too. Idk how anyone likes pre-ground Folgers. It's like saying Starbucks is good lol
@NukelearFallout Obviously you value their opinion on this video or you wouldn't be watching it and folgers got #1 😂 Always gonna hate on something. Might as well be folgers

That was a very enjoyable video!! You guys are down to earth, with no bs, unlike many many RUclipsrs!!!!
I remember liking Yuban coffee, but definitely when it comes to preground coffee I prefer cafe du monde for French press and cafe bustelo if I’m making mokapot
My go to is black rifle as well. But folgers is a sleeper. I believe it was the balck silk I had from folgers and it was great.
Folgers for the win. Dunkin’ is also good.
Man its so much fun to watch you chat with your wife. Mine is in the background agreeing with her as I watch this!
Thumbs up for the Dr. Evil reference alone but just a few minutes in I love your style, sound great, seen like just cool fun people. Oh wow! Very cool!! And yes sir, you did pronounce it right the first time. Also, yet another great video. I actually like the Dunkin too.
What’s up man!! Congrats!! Shoot us an email to siersstudioworks@gmail.com so we can get your deets!

I have mocca master with the smaller pot. Great. $$$ I like Gevalia coffee ☕️. In may area it's hard to find whole bean.
Womb Broom!!! Love it.
I usually go with the term "Clunge Sponge"
I enjoyed the video and your channel. Here in Calif, Peets isn't only available in supermarkets, they are a chain of coffee shops that compete with Starbucks. I'm currently enjoying a Peets Italian Roast.
This was very helpful to me. Thanks. 💯. I will be getting Folders.
I switched to Folgers a few years ago because my other brand was out of stock. I am sure others are better but I love Folgers and have stuck with it
My only qualification is 30+ years in the Navy, where we drank the coffee all night and polished the brass with it in the morning. Having my palate cleansed my whole life. I do grind my own every night and prefer the simple Smart and Final
Whole bean coffee. The real test here is the pre-order ground coffee, to me, more distinctive. Save yourselves, its where the real diff ends is...
The ranking reveal had me smiling the whole time. Love this!
Folgers and DD are my 2 favorites. I don't shop by price. I tried a bunch and I buy the ones I like. Even better if brewed in a French press
Honestly Jeremy, you should have gotten the Death Wish Dark Roast (their standard offering). The dark roast and the espresso roast blow the medium roast out of the water. I buy Ellis Coffee (They have ground, beans, pods (Presidential blend) Love it
Peet’s Major Dickasons blend is IMO the best coffee on the planet.. again my opinion..mainly because it reminds me of what coffee in an old 1943 black and white movie at a diner would taste like. Thick, dark, robust , and just simple black coffee
Great Video. I love coffee, but we only have Folgers at work and I drink it everyday. It isn't a bad daily!
Im the same way! Leave me alone for an hour when I wake up! Coffee and quiet is all I ask from anyone!
We do Dunkin whole bean medium roast every morning. Love it.
Hard to beat the nostalgia for Folgers, big fan of the coffee content! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
My favorite is Don Francisco,s ButterNut is wonderful with my morning pipe & or cigar. 🤓👍🤠
I have a tendency to mix the last bit of whatever I’m using with the next bag I purchase. Usually different brands. Half the time I’m drinking a Folgers, Peets, Dunkin concoction. #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Interesting results, always enjoy your video's Jeremy!
That’s funny. We get ground Folgers for our drip machine (I drink it black) and Dunkin whole beans for our Breville to make Americanos and lattes.

I love me some Stumptown though and folgers black silk
This is the second video of yours I have watched. First was on the new Traeger flattop. I would like to mention and recommend a great veteran owned coffee company out of Ohio. Actually a husband and wife team, who started out in their garage and now has expanded to a larger space and gave BRCC the idea of their coffee truck. The company is Iron Bean Coffee Company. Owners are Fred and Chanel.
I’m really enjoying the frequency of uploads right now. Can’t wait to see what comes up next brother! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Dunkin’ is my go to all day everyday at home and the office! This video was awesome!
I live about 20 minutes a Black Rifle coffee house. Whenever I'm Ubering in that area, I get a goooood cup of Joe and the employees are so nice too
#Bartendersblend. #CaffeineBuzz. I watch your videos with my husband. We love them. And we love that you include your wife and a lot of them. You guys are great. Keep on bringing on the videos.
Excellent video. My favorite coffee is SLO Roasted from Morro Bay CA🤠☕️
To be fair dunkin and Folgers both have been in the game longer then the rest 😅 sometimes experience pays off
Using more coffee does not always mean it will be stronger, it can make it taste worse/weaker actually.
I have to admit, the GREATEST coffee Ive ever had and is still my favorite, is Silver Spur at Winco. really good coffee
Funny video, you guys make me laugh. FOLGERS? What a surprise 😂
I am so particular about my coffee and also my pocket. It has to be very good and very cheap. I have tried so many from the cheapest to the most expensive . And I have tried all all on this video. But I found my happy medium:
1. San Francisco Bay Coffee- French roast- Dark Roast
2. Barissimo- Midnight Blend- Arabica- Dark Roast
3. Black Rifle- Beyond Black- Excelso Roast- Dark Roast
That’s my list 1 being my favorite ❤️
BR black beards delight is pretty tasty also if you like darker roasts 👍🏻
@@JeremySiers that’s what we get every month with the subscription. But I like my beyond Black ☕️
Cafe Bustelo !! Your welcome
I was gifter som Beard Vet coffee and it has been outstanding. I put it in a pourover
targets organic whole bean coffee is pretty good it reminds me of old school diner coffee
Grew up on foldgers, been drinking black rifle. And Dunkin is just an all around great product.
Another great video by my favorite A team. You guys rock. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
My 2 favorite coffees without tasting too too many ate Dunkin #1 and Foldgers #2 without failure.
I love these videos...so fun. If you do this again, you should try Cafe Bustelo next time. It's about $3.88 for a 10oz brick and is surprisingly good.
Black rifle coffee is my go to and my back up is Guilty of Treeson coffee also very good stuff
My go to is Krispy Kreme Coffee (K Cup but ground is just as good). It tastes like life.☕
Peet’s has been my go to if I’m feeling lazy and just toss in a k cup on the keurig. Folgers has never disappointed if I’m just throwing a scoop in the mug. These blind tasting have been awesome lately. Puts things into perspective! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Of these options, I like Eight O Clock the most. However I do only get Whole Bean!
But my all time favorite is Tim Hortons another budget coffee!
Love it when Al is on the channel, but never liked coffee.
Enjoyed the review
My cousin owns 129 Coffee Roasters out of North Carolina. Some of the smoothest, tastiest coffee I've ever had.
Definitely agree Cheaper doesn’t always mean bad, and grinding your own beans and alternate brew methods can make a world of difference! #bartendersblend #caffeinebuzz
Quick question, have you ever done a video were you can taste test the differences in blends of cigars, without the band?
Dunkin and McD's coffee has always been excellent for me.... unfortunately (for me) I pretty much stopped drinking coffee and got into tea. That is not cheap. lol
Not in the grocery store but the best coffee I have ever had is summer moon!
Great video guys. Jeremy I can relate to the early morning wife diversion. My personal go to is 8 o'clock but I buy the whole bean mainly cause we have a coffee grinder and I LIKE TO USE IT.
I’ve just switched to Blackout coffee, definitely way better than BRC…
Dunkin, Community & Folgers are my go to at the store

I am normally a BRCC fan, I like death wish also. Great video and appreciate Big Al being in on the fun 👍 #bartendersblend #caffinebuzz
My go to is still Eight OClock coffee 😋☕
Blind tasting is a good way to judge a product without labels. I really enjoy your videos. #Bartendersblend #Caffeinebuzz
My go to is Black Rifle's Beyond Black. After years of trying different coffee's, this is by far the best I've ever had.
The grocery store is close. I just pick up Dunkin Donuts brand. I don’t want to get too spoiled.
Black beards delight is pretty tasty also 👍🏻
@@JeremySiers I'll have to give that a try!
