I love where you shop! I went to Goodwill today; it was mostly clothes & the hard goods were over priced and had no order at all! I bought one item, a stuffie from “Rudolph” that I did not have from my collection, for $2!

The more I watch the more I get hooked. As an artists I enjoy your encouragement of Rachel and your look out for supplies. They are expensive. I rather clinched when you threw aside the set of small tubes of acrylic paints though. Most artists prefer these for many reasons. Number one, only a small dab of paint is used at a time so tubes don’t get dried out as quickly nor too big a “glob” spit out. Also they are transportable which is good for class, plein Air painting or demonstrating. Maybe you are going to paint with a friend or travel and don’t want to miss a chance to capture a special landscape. It’s better than a camera. So my suggestion is pick up all tubes, acrylic, oil or watercolor.
I would think good also for some colours that you don't use as often, so you can have a large variety of options.

The same thing is happening here in Pennsylvania. The salvation army stores are getting bare and only one person working the cash register. No one putting things out.

I love to watch the aquarium all the colors and moving things. Makes me want to get some!
My dad had huge salt water fish tanks. We had weird sea creatures because of Dad being a trawler-man. We had sharks, pilot fish (creepy,) sea horses, blue ringed octopus, surgeons, stone fish, angler fish, anemone and clown fish, Chelmon, Wrasse, Butterfly fish, Goby, Tang, Boxfish and all sorts of others. My dad spent so much time fighting tank diseases. I found it very depressing.

I used to love shopping at that Salvation Army. They used to have a great boutique section in the front years ago. There was always so much merchandise there!

Loved the aquariums and update on turtles. I recently went to the Tampa Bay Aquarium and they had a big tank of Puffers. I thought of little Banana. Also, your recap was hilarious...whoops!
The winter scene was a Giclee print of Monet called Magpie.....I saw it listed for $60 online. Giclee prints are good things.
What is a giclee print?
@@briarrose1955 From what I understand, Giclee is a type of printing. The special printer uses up to 12 different color, inks making the print much more rich looking. They are more desired because it’s a much more expensive way to print. It’s almost the next best thing to an original from what I’ve been told.

Giclee prints are a high quality print....usually printed on Canvas. This is a way for artists to duplicate a particular painting so they can sell more copies. I have had some of my work done in Giclee....it enables me to offer more copies of a particular painting at a more consumer friendly price. ie, an original painting might go for a few thousand dollars, but a giclee print will sell in the mid hundreds or less.

I adopted a red eared slider turtle with one eye. They had named her "One Eyed Willy", apparently not realizing she wasn't a boy. So, I renamed her "Lefty Lucy". Maybe you can name yours Ethyl and she and Lucy can be friends! Lol😂

What in the world was that recap all about? Totally unrelated to items you just picked up...🤣...someone asleep at the key board? LOL
The Salvation Army in my town (Winter Haven, FL) went out of business before Christmas. Previously the store had insane prices which may have lead to no one shopping there/going out of business. It was usual to see $200 on an big coffee table from the 1990's-the kind with the gold metal trim that no one wants or $30 for a small milk glass vase or $50 for a pair of used sneakers. I mean come on! The stuff they were selling was not desirable vintage at all and they were delusional regarding what they could get for it. As a result, they are out of business.

Those wood pegs racks make fabulous pot lit holders in the cupboard. Suzie's Carl used to make those in Tucson and I got 2 of them and use them for lids and cupcake pans in my cupboard.. They are at 15:03 on the video.
You used to live in Tucson, maybe you will remember that huge Grouper that was at that one pet store, he kept swimming full force to the end of his tank? Eventually he did escape. They found him on the floor the next morning😱☹️
