My Top 9 Ninth Doctor Moments

- Опубликовано: 29 сен 2024
- I decided to do this because I wanted to do more Doctor Who stuff, and since I was re-watching through the first couple of seasons of series, and I'd just started on the second season, I figured I'd do this to say goodbye to the first one, and the Ninth Doctor. I may do one for the tenth, but I'll have to get the third and fourth seasons for that as well.
Also, don't complain about what isn't there or the rankings. It was hard enough for me to narrow it down to just nine great clips, and then even harder to rank them personally, but this is how it ended up. I will tell you though, that it was REALLY CLOSE between the top 3, and I'm still not totally sure about that ranking. Anyways, I'll put an annotation commentary on this later.
Also, if you desperately want to make a Doctor Who intro like I did, use some tips (or just completely follow the guide) here: • How To: Make Your Own ...
Part 1 is for Series 5. If you want to do Series 1-4 you'll need to watch both parts to understand some of the things going on in Part 2. Also, you'll need the full version of BluffTitler and GOOD video editing software (sorry, but WMM or whatever Windows Live gives you now, I don't know, won't cut it).

The lack of craps he gives, combined with the sass he practically sweats out, is one of the reasons I love nine more than anything
Lauren Henderson Oh yes. He's got attitude, sass, and silliness all in one, and yet he never seems like he's trying too hard. He does everything perfectly ^^
Love me some 9th doctor 💙💙💙💙💙
Plus that PTSD and almost uncharacteristic of the doctor anger.
That sentence describes exactly why he's my favorite Doctor
i particularly like 10th
"In what way do you resemble a way of keeping oneself cool?" - Charles Dickens 1869
9 is my favourite out of the modern doctors (9-10-11) and my favourite classic doctor is either 5 or 6
why not four that scarf was fucking pimp
***** I liked 4, but he's a bit overrated. H's really good though. and yes the scarf was pimpalicious
Noah Caboose
I personally have a rule against doctors who strangle their companions, but that could juts be me.
Kasparovwannabe The 1st doctor abandoned his companion and sh'es probably dead now.
Noah Caboose My personal favorite classic is actually the 3rd. Jon Pertwee was a gentlemanly dandy with a bit of a wacky side to him and slight awkward moments to make it work well, plus the advent of the sonic screwdriver and K-9. On top of that I savored every chance I got to see him interact with Troughton. Those two were best pals and it really showed XD
7:31-7:42 No means no. No means no. No means please stop asking a million times!
Blon going "Only a killer would know that" in Boom Town is such a cool 9th Doc moment!
"don't drop the bannna!" "WHY NOT?" "it has sorts of patasuaim!"
Did anybody else realize he said, "Imagine me with no head!" and he later disguises himself as a headless monk?
And thank you for enjoying it so much ^^ I'f I'm honest, the hardest part was choosing just 9 moments...
what's funny is that, the female slitheen's human disguise sort of looks like the current norwegian prime minister. I have a bad feeling about this
3:49 That Dalek got him so good
I loved this doctor the most! I like the one in season 2, but this one's simply awesome and the best.
Number 6
Margaret: What!? You!? Trapped in your box!?
9: I live in the TARDIS, which to others is JUST A BOX!!! (Closes door) You just signed your death warrants.
Me: PAWNED!!!
best doctor ever !!!! :)
5:27 the face of "oh shit"
I really miss him :(
I really liked the part in the ww2 ep when the doctor was tellin nancy about her country being a mouse in front of a lion
My favorite "new" Doctor.
Christopher Eccleston was my first doctor!
Same here!
Raymond S. He was mine too, and still my favourite to this day.
Mine too!
Raymond S. mine too, and I miss him
Same here!He was so funny!
I don't know why he gets such little credit. Eccleston played the mourning doctor PERFECTLY; outfit, mannerisms, acts, words, all of it.
It was probably because he left the show because he didn't like being the doctor.
Hammer563 . That's not the real reason. It's not really clarified as to why he left, there are so many rumors going around.
SilverScreen13 I've read that the reason he left was that he and the BBC not seeing eye to eye and as a result he left..nothingto do with him not enjoying his role
SilverScreen13 I'm pretty sure he didn't want to be typecasted as the doctor.
Mohammed Habib
My first doctor and wasn't he fantastic
like bananas :)
raphaela ratzlaff bananas are cool :-D:-D
Rose Tyler XD
lpsdiva13 I bet I will too
raphaela ratzlaff she was an amazing companion :-D:-D
I wish Eccleston would have stayed on for one more series
Your wish is my command
2021 new series 9th doctor check
Me too, he’s my second favorite doctor, my favorite bring the 10th, but the 9th kinda hit a little different..
I wish he'd come back at this point compared to the current dr
9th doctor is SO underrated. But he's one of my favorites, really.
Unrated are u stupid
you*
Mariana Gonzales haha awesome reply!
Jonathan Lewis s I'm so up set I'm crying 😭
Raheem Saiyed I thought you might be ;)
"Why don't you just die" gives me shivers every time! Chris' acting was amazing! I think the Ninth Doctor is my favorite.
i miss Eccelston so much! he was such a great Doctor and they should have had him on for more than one season. i keep wanting the 9th Doctor to meet Donna, those two would have a sass fest XD
don't get me wrong, i love Tennent and Smith, they're great and funny too. but Eccelston was my introduction into Doctor Who (if that makes sense) so he has this special little spot in my mind :D
I like Tenant more, but I know what you are saying.
wwetnaecwfan1
Have you heard Tennant's actual accent?
Timothy Morris
it's amazing how he can go from his natural accent of Scottish of British so smoothly. though of course actors/actresses need to do that bit sometimes you can tell when someone is trying to hard. with Tennent i actually thought he was British until i heard his actual accent XD
I have to say, it's probably easy for a lot of people to understand what you mean by Eccelston being your introduction to Doctor Who. It actually makes a lot of sense. He was my first Doctor as well. He was the first Doctor for a lot of people, and, you know, his season was a good way to introduce people into it, on top of being overall well-written and having such a fantastic Doctor to lead off with.
And yeah. I seriously want to see a Nine and Donna sass fest now XD
well whatever we see first stays the most apealing
"You would make a good Dalek". That line man.
Yea that's some good writing. The doctor would've been completely destroyed by that line, it would cut deep.
Doctor: "Go now! DON'T DROP THE BANANA!"
Captain Jack: "Why not?!"
Doctor: "Good source of potassium!"
The reason I like this one the most is the brilliant emotional acting. He can do more than be just clever and silly. He can be clever and silly, but more too.
Oh he was the best, he was clever and silly, happy and sad, brilliant and daft :D
@@chr982 you mean, FANTASTIC....
I love the 'Everyone Lives' part. Just goes to show you how each death really affects the Doctor
Look how fucking ecstatic he is at the possibility that for once, just this once. This one adventure, no one dies
He's over the fucking moon
I must admit, his enthusiasm is quite contagious.
There's more emotion in that scene than in whole seasons of other Doctors. You can actually see the weight of entire species on his shoulders and yet he's still joyous over the chance to have that one day.
EVERYONE LIVES
I kinda miss the old theme song back when Eccleston was the doctor
Same
+Taniha Shiαree Hi Rod Danger!
A Man named Spyman hi banana
The eleventh and tenth was nearly the same at least.
Omg me too love that theme! So nostalgic for me - first heard it when I was 5
GRAB THE BANANA!
WHY?
GOOD SOURCE OF POTASIUM!!
....
win!
Narklmarf my fave moment of season 1
"I sang a song and the Daleks ran away!"
"...Just how bad a singer are you?"
"Everybody lives" will probably always be my favorite just because it tore my heart to shreds when he was just so happy!!!! and i was crying and he was just so happy and
yeah
great video :)
Laura Andrews I'm not there yet >.< almost finished with season 5, still on Matt Smith :P
+Laura Andrews I know it's ridiculous.
You can die a thousand times and still live, and he does it with literally everyone! Amy, Rory, clara, and even one time characters in single episodes.
Mine is either the doctors message when he's saving roses life or his very last monologue because he almost held your hand and comforted you through his own death and the "and do you know what .... So was I" always brings a smile to my face
Accessories for a 9th Doctor costume are so easy. All ya need is the Sonic, the Psychic Paper... and a banana. LOL xD
don't drop the banana
Why not Good source of Potassium
How does the banana not rot?!
@@Dominate955 Timelord science: pockets are bigger on the inside.
And maybe it stop/slow down time too.
Don't forget the leather jacket.
Damnit why only 13 episodes david tennant and matt smith got 3 seasons each
Eccleston quit.
oh i guess that would make sense haha why did he quit though?
Aiden2041 he didn't enjoy the environment with the crews
really? wow i did not know that sucks
Aiden2041 producers were yelling at the crew and then told him what to do and so he didn’t like it
I don't really understand why people prefere matt smith over eccleston
Well, I can understand it. Eccleston's silly but sometimes the rage really comes through, and while that really fits his character and the depth he has, that doesn't sit as well with everyone. Matt Smith is rather silly too, but a bit quieter so I can understand it. That being said, I obviously like Eccleston the best, but that's not to say Smith is bad. I think Tennant and Smith have carried the torch pretty well, and I'm REALLY looking forward to Capaldi.
Cool70sfreak The funny thing is, in the early days, my friends disliked Smith because he had an "Anger Management" issue. I just laughed and thought of all the times 1 and 6 went dark (the others had their moments, but with 9 it was part of his character and he would have grown out of it given more than 1 season)
Cool70sfreak Agreed to the max
_I just don't enjoy his episodes. They're just far too full of death for my liking. Characters just needlessly die left and right for "shock value" I guess... And it really doesn't sit right with me._
My favourite Doctor is Matt Smith but I guess that's just cus hes the Doctor I started watching the series. I love Tennant and Eccleston but neither would be as good as Matt for me.
Why there isn't the Slitheen woman teleporting in this list? That was the best part! She teleports,Doctor brings her back running to him,she stops...
+Saulo RNS That was hilarious!
That was 100% my favorite thing from the 9th doctor.
"I could do this allll day!"
Yes, I love that part!!!
All his interactions with her are so funny! He was always one step ahead of her 😂
"Well...there is a war on. Is it possible you miscounted?" X
I don't belieeeeeve it 🤣 - I'm sure he played Victor Meldrew 🤔
Gary P He did
I'll always remember Chris as being my first doctor, and for that he will always be joint favourite with David. He had such a charming passion and humour about him that always made me smile and feel so inspired. The way he reacted to Rose's capture by the Daleks was so moving, and the "Everybody Lives" speech he did makes him one of the most inspiring Doctors that was on the show. He is very inspiring as a doctor, and will always be special in my heart. Also, he reminds me of my Dad.
I loved Christopher Eccleston so much that when he left the series, I quit watching and am now just getting back into it.
Wanda Morris When he says "everybody lives!" The joy in his eyes and voice, is absolutely the best!
Wanda Morris I agree with you there! That scene will always be one of the best of that season, maybe ever!
Wanda Morris That was what made me obsessed with Doctor Who.
One of the best quotes ever "don't drop the banana"
JAYDOG1337A -Why not?
-Good source of potassium.
My favourite Doctor.
Great list. But I would've added at least one scene of him in the Big Brother House.
"You have GOT to be kidding."
Most likely that one XD
Episode 4: "But how do we get out?" "Hm. Out."
Or when he's standing in the elevator and sees an alien trying to kill people: "Hello"
IT would be fantastic to see the 9th doctor and donna noble together in the tardis. So sassy!
That's the second worst insult the doctor ever got, when the dalek said "you would make a good dalek". It could hardly have cut him any deeper.
And I think the worse one was when davros showed the doctor how he uses humans as his weapons.
9 years a bit late on this reply but I think Davros shows the doctor how he makes people weapons which is only slightly different but majorly worse
My first doctor and still my favorite! Don't get me wrong I love Tennant, Smith and Capaldi too, but Christopher Eccleston I will love you always
he looks like my dad
and soinds
DONT DROP THE BANANA D:
Why?
Great source of potassium!
Bananas are fantastic
Always Bring a Banana to a Party!
Chloe Bowen youre fantastic too!
I'm surprised that this has 44 +1's but at the same time i'm not because the ninth doctor is awesome and bananas are so fantastic they should never be dropped.
Better than matt smith, so underrated
Matt is great too. but next to 9 he's a little overexposed (though not as much as 10 to be sure).
I agree that he's underrated, but better that Smith? I don't think so, at least in my opinion.
matt was a poor mans David tennant, at least eccleston tried to be his own person
GarrowhillWoods That is insanely true.
GarrowhillWoods O_O
9 fangirls, therefore he is the best Doctor.
9 is an absolute masterpiece of a Doctor, passionate, fiery, but with that inner love that makes the Doctor the Doctor. By far my favorite.
10 is more human and fallible and too eager to be loved(for good reasons though). Nevertheless, he retains that crackling spirit. I loved him for that.
11 is old, so old. He's done with his Time War past, unless he himself requires it, making him subtly one of the more manipulative Doctors. I would've preferred if his "stick to the shadows" motif would've sticked and if he'd gradually toned down the insanity, which never felt fitting after Series 5. Still good though.
12 is Ebenezer Scrooge as the Doctor, but in a good way(unless he's paired with Clara). He's less complicated about his feelings than 11 and bitter, but deep down, wants to do good as always. Brilliant, if only the writers took actual advantage of this. Series 8 had one good Capaldi scene and that's all.
So they're pretty much all good for me. I think the show has gotten increasingly worser in writing though, starting from the ninth-era space opera and ending with the childish nonsense it's today.
wait that profile pic.... could it be.... THE MASTER!! duh-duh!
I like the 9 th to
***** No, it was at the end of Death In Heaven, when he realises that Gallifrey is still gone and starts pounding the console.
First human emotion in the entirety of Series 8.
I could say Series 7 was just as bad, but at least it was still Moffat writing Smith(also: that goodbye letter from Amy), but now the tone is all over the place.
*****
The Flatline scene always seemed to me like a randomized "Doctor speech", a thing that was old before Smith even left.
Any1 else miss this version of the opening theme thing over the new ones
just a bit
Why is aunt Babs🤣 in this?
Only one scene I would squeeze in somewhere: the moment when he closes his eyes and steps through the fans in the second episode. The way the music cues up, making him all mythical? I remember watching him do that and going, "Whoa."
Yes totally! That was such an amazing moment for me.
The 9th doctor is still my fav, even more than the 10th. Dont get me wrong I love the 10th doctor, but took me a while to like him. I thought that would be the case for the 11th but I still really don't like him, even more so since he seems to have amnesia. It wouldn't be so bad if they continued on with the old characters, Captain Jack, Martha, Mickey, or even a mention here or there. Even the old villains like the Cybermen and Daleks seem so much less scary. I feel like Steven Moffat simply doesnt give a shit about continuing the plot line and some of the stuff he does simply does not make any sense whatsoever. Like Amy couldn't even blink when she was trapped with an Angel, but then when they were in Manhattan, River could look away and it didn't do anything, only when the lights went off. Stupid things like that really annoy the hell out of me. The Doctor's Screwdriver initially was only good for certain things, but now it seems to be like a magic wand. Simply wave it at anything and it pops open, restarts people's hearts, blows up rubber monsters... unless its wood of course... wtf. Is this Hogwarts? Is that a magic wand? It's such bad writing masked with fancy effects and nice camera angles. Don't get me started on what an ass he made the Doctor. Steven Moffat should know that only works for Sherlock. I remember the 10th saying humans are like giants compared to him. He loved and respected other people, but the 11th seems to have some weird god complex.
ok rant over.... for now.
Witch Sandwich the god complex began with ten, he says with his timelord victorious speech.
Cool vid but I cannot BELIEVE you left out his first confrontation with the Dalek. His finest scene by far.
There are just too many good scenes to really be contained in 9 moments...I really should've gone for 20.
It's a shame that Eccelestone didn't enjoy the working environment of this show (that's the "official" story, apparently), because I would have loved to see a second series from him.
Oh well, if Tom Baker eventually decided to come back, I'm sure Chris will eventually come round
Here's hoping but I wouldn't put money on it. Eccelestone is my favourite modern doctor, (since the show was revived.) Now I'm hoping Peter Capaldi can do something similar .
Peter Davison is my all time favourite cause he was my Doctor growing up. And it would be nice to see Paul McGann appear in a series too, as he was sort of robbed of his own series cause BBC America or Canada or where ever didn't pick the show up after The Movie sadly
Yeah, looking back on series 1 Eccelestone did a brilliant job, most of his episodes were pretty good (Dalek being one of my favourite episodes of all time). I'm also hoping Capaldi can be a bit dark but fun like Chris.
Davison is also one of my favourites though my absolute favourite would be Tennant (simply because I grew up with him more, even though Chris was my first)
As for McGann, he's done a load audio adventures for Big Finish which are supposed to be really good. I may need to check a few out at some point.
I did some research, watched many interviews and from what I saw, I can tell he is a great man. He left because the "big heads" treated lower crew members as shit.
I suppose that's what he meant then. He also doesn't seem to look back on his time on the show, I've heard that he's gotten so many questions about being The Doctor when he appeared at a University that he just walked off
It's also interesting that he said that he wanted to do something for children. Whether that was because Russel T Davies was involved or not , I'm not sure but it's interesting/curious to observe that he hasn't really done anything else for a child audience, unless you regard GI-JOE as being a children's film.... It was also nice seeing Chris doing something a little more light hearted , like comedy or something.
Phew...crisis averted for now everyone. I've disputed the claims for Fair Use, seeing as how the video falls under those guidelines and, as you can see, it's back up for now. One claim has already been released. Just awaiting response (or a lack thereof) on the other. We've already been over this ground before around the time of this video's first release. It should be all clear, I hope ^^
Thanks -- I've really missed this one on my playlist. Nine is probably my favorite because he was delightfully geeky looking. And he was the best with Captain Jack too.
Yeah. Nine did have more chemistry with Rose and Jack than Ten did. Though Ten and Donna were hilarious :D.
Imagine Nine and Donna though, they would sass around each other.
Oh god, that would be a dream come true. Nine would love Donna XD
juliathehuman the world would die from a sass overload.
The best part for me, but it's not ninth, it's tenth :
"He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing... the fury of the Time Lord... and then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he had run away from us and hidden. He was being kind..." - son of mine
Love your content!
Eccleston my 1st Dr and will always best the best to me
Same for me.
fab
Dalek is by far, one of the, if not the, best episode of Doctor Who.
Lol you genius
"I sang a song and the Daleks ran away!" BEST LINE EVER! XD
I can seriously just imagine 9 and Donna sassing at each other xD
Laura Andrews OH GAWD NO
Why did he only last 1 fricking season? He should've stayed!
Nine is awesome.
DONT DROP THE BANANA!
Good source of potassium!
I must say I just love the ninth doctor so much emotion and he was felt really cool and just like rebel just because of the jacket. But to be honest I would love to see him a bit more as.the doctor maybe just maybe he would return!
They will never bring back a past Doctor except for a cameo.
Fortunately, I suspect that Peter Capaldi, the 12th doctor (14th if you're picky), is going to be similar to Eccleston, with a huge emotional range. I'm expecting awkward statements along with a tremendous presence of power and domination, much like 9!
Yes i know that they never will bring back an old doctor because that is not possible ofc, but stil i really liked him as the doctor, he was really emotional and i hope that Peter Capaldi will be as ninth but we cant reallt tell, we only saw him like 30 seconds, but he looks really awesome :)
Peregrine how is Peter Capaldi the 14th doctor? the War Doctor was a regeneration so where do you get 14? Im not trying to be rude or anything just curious thats all.
Krosis the aborted regeneration the 10th doctor did.
Sadly, they will never bring back 9. Christopher Eccleston didn't like being the doctor and has refused to ever appear again on Doctor Who. :(
Man! I wish the 9th doctor last at least one more season
his kissing bad wolf scene is the best
best ever 9th doctor line ever: by the way whats your name?
Rose:Rose
Doctor:Nice to meet you Rose , run for you life!
"Is it possible you miscounted?"
My favorite, because it was first was, "Run!"
9th you are my doctor.
do the slitheen look like babies to you?
yup ugly deformed ones
The Doctor: No! 'Cause this is what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna rescue her! I'm gonna save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek fleet, and then I'm gonna save the Earth, and then, just to finish off, I'm gonna wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!
Dalek: But you have no weapons! No defenses! No plan!
The Doctor: Yeah! And doesn't that scare you to death? (speaking to Rose) Rose?
Rose: Yes, Doctor?
The Doctor: I'm coming to get you.
Yeah , one of the best monologues in Who history I dare say, though there are probably many to choose from.
9th doctor is the best doctor....after watching the 10th doctor seasons, I've seen the light and changed my mind. 10 is the best! I will give 9 a lot of props, he's the reason the show was picked up and stayed on.
I agree
+Ricky Ray Sorry no, Nine lost everything and had more Trauma and depression than
Ten and just had his Darling Rose and his Travelling Machine, the very
last Machine of its kind and the Doctor his. Nine had it harder yet
people seem to think Ten had a greater struggle, Nine regenerated with a
smile the only friend he had was Rose and well even though he wasnn't
there can somewhat be considered his best friend The Captain. The Ninth
Doctor was strong, Meanwhile like Sarah Jane said Ten had a whole family
on Earth and everyone loved and adored him they said it in the Series 4
finale and we saw it in The end of time, Yet he kept on bitching about
his regeneration even though he was smug and horrible to Martha Jones in
Series 3, and showed off, while he had his soppy hairgel on for Rose in
Series 2, Series 4 is how The Doctor should've been throughout. "I
Don't wanna go" God you had everyone by your side so dont BS about
regenerating alone and also Nine didn't wanna go but he reluctantly let
go, and he regenerated without warning meanwhile Ten moped throughout
2009.
10 is the Traveler without a home, Nine is a true Time Lord, hes a
survivor, Nine lost everything he was depressed.
Tens converses and sideburns won't be enough to make me budge
Mary Thomas No, I have retracted that statement a long time ago. Not sure if I did it on here but I now am in love with 10, he is the best.. at everything EVER!
***** You, my friend. Are a lost cause. Your'e entitled to your own opinion, but it's wrong.
+Ricky Ray (r1ckyr4y) Don't be an ass.
bloody hell, all i did was skip to 3:46 and christopher eccleston tells me to kill myself :'(
I don't even know what to say.
MaxQua you would make a good dalek
are you a delek?
😂
T THIS IS MY DOCTOR DANG IT my doctor
Gigi S. I reacted the same way when saw him in in Thor: The Dark Word! I started freaking out! I'll always love nine
The ninth doctor was my first, I think he should have had a second season or three seasons.
i wish chris hasn't quit but i don't blame him for leaving since the people he worked with were giving him crap
You know not everyone appreciates CE as the doctor. And while his season was a bit slow it was the first season they all start slow! Some say he's boring and while I thought so too when I first watched him I grew to love him after rewatching the episodes over again. I love how he's dark and has a sassy sense of humor and his relationship with rose changes him as a person. I think the reason why 10 came out so humorous and light hearted was the direct action of what he learned from Rose. He even took her accent! Nine actually became light hearted after he sucked in the time vortex because I think his death gave him closure and assurance that he wasn't a coward, the words that haunted him the entire season, and that he went out a hero. I really think he was the perfect start to NuWho and has a big part of its success. I just wish we spent more time with him.
Thought I absolutely love David Tennant, I think Eccleston makes a very realistic Doctor. I love that he actually comes across as a formidable and fearsome foe for the Daleks and his hatred for them is so human. He also seems to bear his love for Rose more easily than Ten and is more fiercely protective of her. Rose and Nine were great together!
He is definitely my favorite doctor unlike ten and eleven who I had to give a chance to like them and they eventually did grow on me, I was impressed by nine from day one.
"And you know what? So was I." I feel like this is a sort of redeeming moment for the Doctor. Starting out as the Ninth Doctor he was full of guilt and self-loathing from what he did as the War Doctor. Nine truly struggled with depression, even though he always seemed so cheerful--but that was because he had Rose. Rose appreciated him and helped him to see that he really could do good and be a good person again--be a Doctor again. And when he says that; "You know what? So was I." He's finally coming around and realizing that as Nine, he was a good man, and he saved people, and did good, and he was--in one word, fantastic.
Don't drop the banana! Why not?Good source of potassium!I LOST it, there.
THE NINTH DOCTOR IS MY FAVORITE
I don't care what anyone says C.E. is the best of the modern Dr.s
did you know what? so was i
of course
My favourite scene didn't make it in! The first time he meets the Dalek in...Dalek. The pain in knowing that what he did was in vain, his pleasure in attempting to kill it (thus showing his Dark side)...everything about the one-on-one confrontation was absolutely sensational.
Eccleston was great, wish he at least came back for the 50th Anniversary. He just didn't give the show a chance :(
Nor did people give him a chance
***** I believe the reason why he quit was because he did not approve of how some of the executives treated their assistants. He would've continued as the Doctor had it not been for that. Honestly, I can't blame him at all for that.
8:37 Happiest moment in season 1 probably :D
***** yep
Happiest moment in all of Series 1 of the New Who, no doubt :)
My Favorite Moment is when one of the Slitheen farts when the Doctor is talking about why alien experts were all gathered together.
"Excuse me, would you mind not farting while I'm saving the World."
"No." from Bad Wolf is my favorite from this list. His raw defiance is pure gold.
4:02 was, for me, the most heartbreaking moment in NuWho. He was trying so hard, and now his worst fear has been exposed and confirmed.
I seriously cannot stand Tennent! So overrated.
Eccelstone was amazing.
Even smith was more likable then tennent!.
He combined nerdy and cool so well!
Exactly. I hate admitting it, considering so many peoples favorite is Tennant, but I just can't love him like I loved Eccelstone. No one can compare to the brilliant Ninth Doctor! ;)
Damn I miss him...
no he was fantastic!
No Tennant was to animated.
Eccelstone was intense!.
he's my favorite doctor, he's so underrated, i even know people who dislike him, i don't know why, i think he's absolutely FANTASTIC. :D
Although I wish he had been around for more seasons, he really set the tone for who the Doctor really is. I only just made it to the post series 4 specials, but Christopher Eccleston is just slightly my favorite between him and David Tennant. Mostly because he was my first Doctor, and you could really see just how terrifying the doctor is to those who oppose him. Number 8 on this list is just a perfect example of him being very nonchalant about somebody trying to poison and kill him. He just blissfully carries on with everything in total control. It just feels like he didn't need saving quite as much as David did. None of this to bash the 10th Doctor. I love David Tennant, and I think he did a great job displaying the excitement the Doctor gets from new experiences, and also the emotional moments when he had to deal with losing so many that were close to his heart(s). Overall, losing Eccleston so soon was very painful, but without it happening the way it did, I'm not sure if the show would have been as successful as it has been.
Best Doctor Ever.
#4 is definitely one of my favorites as well! I love the music, and the look of Doctor's face when he says "And doesn't that scare you to death?"
"Well, there is a war on, is it possible you miscounted?"
Number 3 is my fav bit. He looks so happy. It should be number one.
Lol. “I had one leg.” “There is a war on, is it possible you miscounted?” 😄
"Just this once Rose, EVERYBODY LIVES"
that moment when you realise thats the only time everybody lives
Moment #8 was awesome. I always laugh when watching the Doctor & Blon acting so civilized, all the while she's trying to kill him & he just keeps his cool.
It had been a while since I'd seen 9's goodbye to Rose; I'd forgotten how emotional it was!
Thanks for putting this collection together; it was a nice little trip down memory lane :)
i like how 9 still had some of the war doctor in him but not a lot.
Number seven has got to be one of the best clips ; The Doctor facing off with the last Dalek like he's talking to Hitler or Stalin or one of the great criminals of history. That's proper bloomin' acting for you. Not treating the kids as anything less than valid and worthy TV viewers, not patronising them with substandard material.
Everybody, lives, Rose... Just this once, EVERYBODY LIVES!!!
nine was awesome and extremely underrated!!
Welcome to my world.
