Toms radio room your utube videos are awesome
Thanks for your review!!! I already got DEGEN DE13,
You are very welcome.
I am surprised there is so much difference in the run time as both have a 4.5v Ni-MH battery. Guess that lcd display takes its toll. Nice relaxed review Tom.
That is one thing (LCD) and other circuits to drive LCD and monitor the SAME network. Note these appear to be running during charging.

I have the Eton and the crank produces minimal juice. The AM/FM radio is not bad, and the instructions are a bit unsure of whether power is being drawn from the rechargeable battery or the AA cells. In potable use, I depend on the AA's as being more dependable. Nice comparison on these, sir.
Thanks and have a great day.
Toms radio room the two radio Receivers are cool
Nice review Tom. I have the same Degen radio. I find it easier to crank if I hold it upside down with the crank at the opposite end, the front in my left palm, and my thumb on what is normally the bottom of the radio. This also means I'm not pressing on the solar cell while cranking. Maybe you could give that a try and see if it works for you...
I tired as you suggest but now my little finger are pressing on the solar cell.
Tom
hamrad88 Well, that may be a little better. I think the little finger will do less harm to the solar cell the the thumb...
TheScottytr6 Good point.
