- This is our full review of the ExoDraft Particle Filter as part of our ExoDraft series.
We have tested stoves with and without this product to determine it's affect and we were able to gather some of the lowest readings we have ever found.
Thank you so much to all of you for your support!!!

Great job as usual! I will be looking to promote these moving forward for fits 👍
Where abouts are you based?
@TheTortoise In Surrey
Awesome, hope you’re keeping busy, despite this economical muddle this country finds itself in!
All the best!
I've made an enquiry to the Specflue company (near Leeds), and they don't do the fitting services, just sales. They recommended an installer 12 miles west of York (where I live) . They couldn't/wouldn't do it because "Our focus is on providing stove and flue purchase and installation as a complete package." So Specflue have recommended me Wharfe Valley Stoves, 20m west of me. I'm waiting for them to email back. Hoping to get some costings soon!
Interesting, let us know how you get on, because again this sort of real world experience is incredibly valuable to hear about.
A high-tech solution simply engineered.
Question, the particles from the self-cleaning dropping down onto the baffel, would this naturally burn off when the stove reached temperature? My Burley Debden has a completely straight flue and burns all day every day for the heating season.
Yes. The idea is those particulates just re-burn.
Getting mains power up to the chimney probable adds a little to the installation. Very interesting but my stove is 12 kw. I wonder if , in the future, this kind of application would make stoves a possibility for use in smokeless zones?
Interesting product
(I cringe as to how much it costs).
When we put our herald 14 in with the wrap round tank, i put a "windkat" chimney pot on the top. I remember it was a bit of a dear do at the time, saying that 12 yrs later is still in one piece.
That’s really interesting to know. There are a lot of people asking about longevity, so the fact that you have something similar, still going 12 years later is fantastic.
Interesting video, I've been thinking about something like this for our flue as we live in a sub-urban area. Also the chimney fan sounds excellent for reducing false fire alarms during starting! Does anyone have any idea how it'd cope with a non-straight flue? Ours has two 45 degree angles in it.
I expect it to only improve performance on your bendy flue. It raises height and updraught, so I can’t think of a disadvantage.
Do you think it would improve the results when burning smokeless coal briquettes? I’ve found with my Clock that it always leaves quite a bit unburnt at the end of use, regardless of how far open the air controls are.
I definitely find this causes more complete combustion, so yes it wouldn’t surprise me if it solved that issue.
I’m think the devils work equivalent - The DPF on a car !
Looks interesting. Could see it becoming mandatory on new builds.
Should be subsidised like heat pumps
That’s an interesting idea, it does have an amazing affect to be fair!
