Great video! I like how you referenced your old video and showed a method of doing the same thing. (And to reply to the end of the video, today be Sunday!)

Love the videos in this series so far! Keep em coming! Would love to know what scale you use for 3D printing. I've followed your original video and have modeled some track but in cad it seems like the scale will be too crunched up to make the model operational after printing. Have not printed anything yet but just the visualization seems off. Might be different once printed but still would like to know your process for printing after modeling. Thanks!

Great video! I was trying to follow your video. I have an issue: I don't have the "Imports Points for Track" button. Where can I find it?

I might have been talking fast but that is a macro button I created. If you Google “import xyz points into Solidworks” you should be able to find more information… or even a free macro. Good luck!

@@printmyridedetroit6115 Oh ok, thank you for the answer!

@@M-RICK19 you can also check my previous video (ep 2) I talk a bit more about bringing in curves.

@@printmyridedetroit6115 Yes, I managed to bring in the curves and do all the excel work. I only needed the points so I can connect the cross ties. Do you know if there's any way to import the spline in an assembly rather than in a piece? That way, I'd be able to make the track pipes and cross ties in separate pieces.

Are you going to do one for B&M as well?

Yea I think in the future I can. Someone else asked for the other Intamin type so over the next few weeks I’ll try to tackle both :) just be patient with me

@@printmyridedetroit6115 I have nothing but patience. You are doing this for free out of your own free will. I am nothing but grateful for all the work and effort you have put out so far. I have had this dream since I was a little kid. I also, like you, became an engineer because I wanted to design rollercoasters. I took a different path engineering wise but man.. that dream is still alive and thanks to you it seems like something I will be able to eventually do! Thanks!

First of all, great video and it´s really nice to finally see you back on youtube! Can you maybe do the Intamin modern single/double spine type found on Velocicoaster and Kondaa? Would really like to see that and by the way, I REALLY appreciate all the work you do!

no offense but this video series is seriously impossible to follow. you're not saying what keys you're pressing and when, you're not explaining which menus you're going into or why, and you're talking so fast that it's difficult to understand what you're saying. i have pretty much no hope of ever doing what you're doing just by watching these videos.
you'd basically already have to be a seasoned professional with CAD and SolidWorks in order to have any hope of understanding what to do.
my suggestion would be to either reupload these videos with a disclaimer at the beginning about requiring prior SolidWorks experience, OR to redo them MUCH more slowly and actually thoroughly and SLOWLY explain exactly what you are doing at every single step.

Which function are you struggling with? I mentioned using macros in this video however in the previous I explain what I am doing. Yes you will need to understand CAD fundamentals before jumping into coaster design. If you are struggling with the commands there’s millions of Solidworks tutorials online.
