@@ericclaptonsrobotpilot7276 That was down to Robert Newton, when he played Long John Silver in the 1950 film Treasure Island. He was born in Dorset and based the accent on those living in the south west of England
been thinking of getting this one and changing the pickups for some spb2s and the pickguard for a pearly white one, good thing i still got plenty of time until i get paid from work lol i mean its either that or some used jaguar squier bass
Yeah. What do you expect for 135 dollars? It looks good and sounds decent and for way less than the price of a Fender you can make this guitar hot. P basses are OK but I am partial to PJs. All my Stingrays both EBMM and SBMM have the neck and bridge pickups. I do not care for J basses. Dont care for the slapping crap or the funky stuff. But do add some "dirt". Neck and bridge pickups are perfect to me for that.
I'm not sure I understand..you want to invest another 100 pounds to make it sound better or play better? Why waste your time and just buy a quality instrument 😮sorry I don't get it..
@@robertgladstein Dont feel bad. Most people dont get it. But for an example. I chose a 700 Epi Les Paul over 5 Gibson Les Pauls. I was more than willing to spend up to 6000 dollars. Right off the rack the brifge pick up was really hot. Probably by mistake though. It had Grover tuners on it so it was a little better than plain ol Epi. For a couple hundred dollars changed out the bridge hardware to Gibson and put a bone nut in it. So totale about 900 dollars that will blow any Gibson away. That cheap lamenated body has a specific resonance to it that I was looking for. But never choose a guitar just because of the name. And never choose a guitar without playing it.
I had my eye on the sonic series since it came out, but I'm glad I waited. Really like the simple no frills finishes on these. Ordered the red one.
sweet brethren! hard to beat a new guitar just drink more beer and all will be good!
Super nice! The build and execution are amazing for the money!
Ordered mine today. Great video.
Thanks for the review!
Excellent review. Nice bass.
D string Dosent look like it’s in the nut properly
I wouldn’t be happy with that if it is a fault
Great video
It doesn't effect the playing or the sound, or at least not as yet
The nut on that one looks wonky.
I’m notoriously good at understanding various English accents, but damn I’m having a hard time with this guy.
I could go full Fen if you wish!
@@tallthinkev and I though the Irish sounded like goddamn pirates!

At first, I thought it was a different language.
I understand him perfectly fine

I've played this live a few times now, and don't think I need to change anything for now. Plenty good enough for pub work.

Think a 100 would fix it up nicely, if that. Pot's are a must, 10-15. Tuners another 35, maybe a different pickup 40?

Is the Neck wider than a Jazz Bass neck?
A tad, in between a J and a P
Dunno if its supposed to be this way or not but, the A and D strings look super close together at the nut??
The nut is very slightly more narrow than a 'normal' P bass but not bu much
I'd probably go with a Harley Benton, around the same range.
They are fine basses, yet less money back if you were to sell
Damn, your left hand is all over the place.
When, where and is that a good thing?
WOT NO WHAMMY BAR 🤣
Nothing like that bass on amazon in the states.😐
More coming I believe
You have to look for the bundle. Each item in the bundle is listed, click on the guitar and it'll take you to it. I just ordered one on 7/14/24.
