"It's like a beautiful chaos." You're raising a good person, sir.
Hes not his wife is
Rinkle wot?
My thoughts exactly. 'Beautiful Chaos' is a perect description of this song.
@@rinkle396 I think he was aware & know that she is his daughter
It's a beautiful chaos. such a great description!
You also need to understand the context of when they wrote this song. It came out in 2005. "Dancing in the desert, blowing up the sunshine".... referring to Bush and his administration taking us to war in the middle east.
IT IS STILL RELEVANT
@@kimido How so?
@@MS-sk5siUS's current military actions in the middle east.
Hundreds of civilians (who's lives are as important as the protesters in the states btw) are dying, every single day.
Basically the only country US is doing good down there is Saudi Arabia. every other country is getting damaged, either because of US military involvement, or because of the ongoing economy war between USA&Israel vs. Russia&China
In between,
US military people are not immortal, therefore they suffer casualties as well.
@@kimido you also need to realize these governments are putting their own people in the crossfire. They want conflict as much as we do and go out of their way to commit horrible acts against their own people which is why we continue to occupy land over there. Im not saying I agree with the war because in general we're kinda looking out for the little guy. The problem is we're there for personal gain a lot more than to help them out
@@jeremyramirez3269 I get what you're saying. The conflict is not one sided, and it's definitely not all because of the US trespassing into other territories.
But we two are in the comments section of a music related video.
As much as I crave these types of conversation, unfortunately YT comment section is not the place.
The reason I brought it up was a Question. I said the lyrics is still relevant, and I was asked to expand what I ment.
Stay safe
When you realize how sad and twisted this song really is..... this song is super deep. This is one of if not the best bands from my generation.
Literally translates to Bring Your Own Bombs. The lyrics are harrowing. What legends these
Yeah, quite deep. The song has a very nice contrast between the happy part ("everybody's going to the party") and the most intense part that comes afterwards: "Where the F**k are you?", a question to those who knew what it's all about and didn't join the party (even though "everyone" is going).
I heard a good analysis that in the third time "everyone's going to the party" chorus you are supposed to feel a bit uneasy that it is all a lie and if you still enjoy the party, the sudden realization catches you off-guard as they break it at an unexpected time with "where the f**k are you?"
It took me longer than I would like to admit when I truly understood this song
When you understand what Serj's people went through, you'll understand his rebel Armenian spirit!
Facts👍
The spirit of Rock has always been passion and rebellion (even when it evolved into Metal and Punk).
Oh shit i never knew he is armenian
That means he know about the real "Young Turks" (not the yt channel)
@@simplyskrypt3914 they're all Armenian.
🙏🙏
This song is expressly and specifically about the Iraq war...
This is true but like with any art you can interprete it in a way that means something specific you to. Thats perfectly ok.
@@sklavenitis9073 songs called bring your own bombs...it's party time....dancing in the desert. Blowing up sunsine...It's pretty clear when the yell...why don't president fight the war...as we've been in a perpetual state of warfare in desert nations since 2001...but yeah it's open to interpretation...it's probably about dancing. . .
FACTS
Chaserz yeah, they’re just paying homage to Deer Dance I’m sure. Can’t be anything else.
@@nateg.6187 yes art is ultimately subjective...as a paid professional artist I know this...but when the words specifically reference the war of the time...it's hard to interpret that they actually mean a picnic, flowers and puppy dogs. Interpretation is one thing...artist intent and obviousness are another. So yeah not trying to pigeon hole people...but we aren't talking about stairway for godsakes. The message is pretty clear. So some discussion is warranted but your right if you think this is about a dance party ...discussion over. ✌️
Notice how the smooth, seductive part is about "going to the party," and the harsh part is the message about how we're living in a fucked up system that takes advantage of the poor for the powerful. It matches how life works: the message is harsh, and it's seductive just to go along and get along in the "party."
She should listen to toxicity and aerials.
Both in my top ten favorite songs
aerials is still my favorite song for like 12 years
Toxicity?! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Yes!!
Should have started with those then this then spiders
I've got to say: you're a f**king awesome dad! Take care! I lost mine by old age exactly 1 week ago, and it's just a good feeling seeing beautiful parental interaction.
Edit: Plus SOAD is one of my favorite bands, my 6 years old daughter LOVES it.
I know this is 2 years old but I hope you have had the time to look back at your dad and take the best of him into your heart and the worst of him into forgiveness. However you find your way as a parent , remember your daughter is learning from you, like you once learned from him. And never forget, although you may not see your father, you have not lost him. He will always see you. Just like that old song...your circle will never be broken. Hope your daughter and you are doing great.
1:38 - You're daughter's face when Daron Malakian screamed "Why'd they always send the poor?!". And at 5:09 when he screamed "Blast off!".
😂😂😂😂
Show your daughter "Sugar" by System Of A Down!
I love her smile every time he hits the "LA LA LALALALA OOO HOOOOO" :D
Watching your daughters reaction to this is priceless haha good reactions
When her eyes bugged I died.
its true
I was laughing my ass off the entire time XD
Yes that way cool. I love seeing people try something new thats outside of thier norm or comfort zone. Good on her.
His laugh when the screaming started he’s like haha that’s yah that’s soad and metal music
If she picks up a guitar it's your fault homie 😂
...but we won't complain!!!
Or a Bass! 🔥
@@steviej-IRL
I double dog dare that young lady to throw a bass on!!!
Fuck those guys. Pick up the sticks! You wont regret it
@@jima6545 fuck you too!
Hopefully music becomes a part of her life
This is the way I want to educate my kids. Through music. Through movies. Through art. You're obviously doing a great job. I applaud you, good sir!
I loved seeing your daughters mind warm up to what she was hearing. She was apprehensive, but still free thinking, and accepting enough to hear it out and give it a chance. Music is universal and beautiful and the message it brings can really help us all. Cheers to your openness and letting us be a part of it. Subbed today. Keep the kids in the loop they will learn so much from the music.
"A beautiful chaos" is a good way to describe it. I still remember when I first heard this song. I had heard several of their songs, but BYOB definitely caught me off guard. it took me a few listens, but this definitely become one of my favorite songs by System.
"beautiful chaos" Perfect description.
You need to react to their song called "Prison song" THAT song is about the corporations building prisons.
@Cobb Knobbler i think you missed the point of the song...
@Cobb Knobbler you're no fan of SOAD.
@Cobb Knobbler you're missing the part where corporations are building prisons
@Cobb Knobbler not for the benefit of for profit organizations that make money on the back of workers they can exploit for their own benefit.
@Cobb Knobbler well that song is about imprisonment for drug use.
I love you guys open mindedness and intelligent reactions.
I think of this song like This is America. Inbetween the violence and truth is a catchy chorus to distract us from the truth
VAN show Niah "Lonely Day" "Spiders" and "Sugar". She will love those songs
Or Vicinity of Obscenity if you just wanna confuse the crap out of her lol
Those are some of my favorites along with prison song
Prison Song for sure.
Forgot how good spiders was
it's such a lonely day and mine the most lonely day in my life
I love seeing you daughter in the reacts. Would love more, she seems wise beyond her years.
sorry to do this lol This song is about the business behind war, and how privileged politicians start them, but expect the poor to fight them the party being the Iraqi war and the lies when we all know it was over the oil and also 911 and the govn allowing bankers to use pensions
they send the poor" a bit out dated as we have had an all volunteer military for the last 50 years. No one is being forced.
@@bugvswindshield Instead they use economic coercion to "Encourage" the poor to enlist. Promising a full scholarship works a lot better when daddy can't pay your way into a good school.
Hit the nail on the head man.
Nathan Reidel 🤔
War pigs
Man, I really like how you show the true meaning of the music for your Daughter! I love this song, but how you make this a learning moment was beautiful! Congratulations! You Got a subscriber!
This is an awesome reaction! With SOAD, I will say.... LYRICS, LYRICS, LYRICS.... they have deep lyrics and out of control melodies to get their message in your face. So effective and badass!!!! How do you NOT move to this?!?!?!?! Lol
"There's something I like about it...just can't put my finger on it"...haha, you nailed it Sis! I think that's we all say when we first hear SOTD. Just discovered your channel recently & subscribed immediately. I just love seeing a father introducing his children, especially in this day & age with such thoughtless, mindless, talentless trash, to a wide variety of great, impactful music that we grew up listening to & loving. Bravo Dad....bravo👍😉
SOAD*
LMAO!Oh hell I wasn't expecting that either.WOOO!!!PS Your daughter is lovely beautiful smile.✌
i got so much emotions when i hear this song again it just gets even more hard to listen when u pay attention to the lyrics , know the background of the them , its beautiful , its powerfull , it hurts .. its hard to breath
Gotta do Chik N Stu, Vicinity of Obscenity, honestly EVERY SOAD song ever made.
Vicinity of Obscenity. .
i thing the same jajaj
Question! Id say is the best pick, 100% their best song, its a complete and absolute masterpiece
Man, really loved how you broke the song's message to your daughter in such a nice way
lol, "beautiful chaos", is actually the exact phase I use to describe music like this. Love it! (Insane metal riffs, with beautiful clean vocals, or leads to a beautiful change-up)
The beautiful chaos is right! Loved this!
Beautiful chaos is a brilliant way to describe this song.
people tripped out , I was the only Mexican in my 'Hood jammin' to System Of The Down when they first came out . Now, everybody is listening !
Phew man.... What a great thing to see. The father teaching the daughter. Using creativity to teach some really hard stuff about the world...
Great job sir. Greetings from Brazil.
This is amazing. I just stumbled on some nightwish reaction today, saw three more of your videos.
You LOVE the music, you get the messages, and you have an amazing way of being a father (oh yeah, Jinjer was the first one - you went through the whole thing, got caught, and loved how your daughter went through the whole thing) - explaining shit to your kids, and they learn meanwhile. While you're still open to learning yourself.
Love this content. It feels from the heart. Lookin' forward to quite a few bands I loved growing up that yt shows me on that right side..
That young lady is gorgeous. She has her father's smile, and she truly is the spitting image of her daddy! God love her. I just love watching you two together.
Serj's voice is crazy, always hearing new sounds you've never heard before; I think that's part of their wide appeal
Parenting done right! Just dropping in to say your reaction vids are a feel-good part of a stressful time for a great many of folks. Thank you for sharing your love of music with us and especially your children (something that's been a priority with my own). Lots of love from my family to yours!
Love her that she understood the chaos, very deep vocals. You should keep her doing reactions
I loved watching you two listening together to one of the great bands of all time.
Should check out Question! by System also very dope song, Salute from Mexico, Love ur videos bro keep it up!
Yes. This song is a must review
This is a family I would love to hang out with. Seem like really great people. Her smile lights up the room. Love their reactions
BYOB, bring your own bomb. Fighting over oil in the Middle East . Men in power send the poor to fight their war
I like your channel as it is , and when your daughter is on its that much better. When I show my kids songs like these with meaning, content, a message.... The reactions are priceless
I'd love to hear her reaction to Rage Aganst the Machine "know your enemy" or "bulls on parade".
yesss. know your enemy!!
Dude your kids have such great intellect and open mindedness. It's so refreshing! P.L.U.R! (Peace, Love, Unity and Respect!)
Love this band, and I love both your reactions to it! Their songs are often so chaotic, but Serj is an incredible singer with an incredible band behind him and they had a lot to say. I wish they'd stuck together, unfortunately Serj solo just doesn't hang in there. Either way, SOAD albums are all worth listening to from start to finish! Yo, don't forget to get to my Primus request!!! 🙏😉
How cool to have your daughter on the show! It was priceless to see her reaction to this. This is your passing the torch to the younger generation. I love it! It's awesome to see both you guys enjoying music that is beautiful and chaotic, as you say, and with a very important social message. SOAD made some great music!
The CD this is off, hypnotized and mesmerized the CD that came out later the same year are meant to be listened to all the way through.
I always appreciate your understanding of lyrics and your ability to break down any song.
You're the best dad ever
Awesome reaction !!!! Love the fact you actually explained and got the music and you explained it RIGHT ....love SOAD
First: i love your daughters commitment in your video's! Second: sinds you talked about prisons, react to Prison Song by System of a Down!
I love how the look on her face goes from shock to a huge grin. That smile made me smile.
1:38 - Literally everyone's reaction to that part the first time
5:09 - See the previous comment
Holy shit, just found about you guys yesterday. i starded to watch your reacts, and i'm pretty impressed they're not superficial at all. You know what you're talking about, explaining the message of the songs. That's Awesome!!!
Greetings from 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Would love for you to react to the band Maximum the Hormone and their song Lets Talk About Menkata Cotelee!!!!
I love it when you bring your kids to your reaction videos. Your daughter is gorgeous! She definitely have your smile!
Have you done Drowning Pool? Song: Bodies
Psychostick.i can only count to four
hypnotize is another REALLY good SOAD tune.... great harmonizing vocals in that one too!
Going to the party in the desert is about war, not prison
I love that you're teaching your kids about the good music! So much lessons to be learned from 90's music.
I wouldn't say everyone listening learns the lesson. The drummer didn't even get it.
That's not true at all. Don't slander the drummer because he doesn't believe everything you believe.
That’s bullshit. Can’t believe hes still getting shit for RESPECTING A STATEMENT made by trump.
The drummer is top 5 GOAT status...he is always overlooked
5:07 The fright 😂
Idk why but watching you mimic the "la la la la la la la la la, oooohoooo" put the biggest stupid smile on my face.
"Why don't Presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?"
Teachin yo daughter about life and the world through a medium you both love. Music. Good on ya dude!
Now check out "Chop Suey" for her
Aeriols too!
You all are awesome. I hope you know that. I love to see you all exploring. Love from my family to yours.
I recommend showing your kids Rage Against the Machine.
My brother that was awesome. You got it and get it. Cool to share it!
Nice reaction!
Can you react to Vicinity Of Obscenity? Their most weirdest song 😂
I was waiting. Watching her face knowing that she was about to experience this song.
You broke that song down like she was in class.
“A beautiful chaos” is now how I will tell people about this group. And your daughter is a teacher. I bet she gets that from her daddy. Right on. I’m glad I found y’all.
Really wish I had a dad like you are to your kids. Seriously in awe of your incredibly smart talented wholesome open-minded and funny family unit. Goals.
My teenage self is loving this! Loved this song!
Best description ever. Beautiful Chaos
I loved your daughter words it's like a beautiful chaos. 💕 Exactly.
Glad you listened and got the message. Very opened minded.
My Daughter ?? anm! with all respect. Beautiful voice of her 👏👏👏, and also very beautiful ...
Her eyes when they start shouting! Priceless!!
SO AWESOME seeing y'all discover AWESOME MUSIC
SOAD is by far one of the best bands ever to have mastered the breakdowns into new tunes craft, they have such an amazing sound and how they make 1 song sound 3-5 different ways
6:55-7:00 😂😂😂😂 Van I’m about to make a damn gif of those seconds right there 😂😂😂😂
Right?!? Beautiful!
I’ve never got the subscriber button so fast! “HIT THAT THANG!” Best intro. Lol
New Subscriber! Love your rock reviews. You get their messages. People only hear the loud music and screaming but you get what they are saying. Love it. Keep up the great work. I've been binge watching your video's all day!
Man... good job dad. Perfectly broken down and distilled for her to digest. It was cool to see her light flick on afterwards. Respect to you guys. Great reaction!
Much love my friend. it might not be your type of music but you take time to appreciate and understand other types of music. much respect for that x
Love the song and the reaction, this is the second video I watched from you tonight, I honestly thought you were probably 22-25 years old but you've got a grown daughter! Will be subbing and watching more.
Follower from Baltimore Maryland. Glad to see you check out the video. You're definitely right about the message. Serj also did a solo album...check out his video for a song called "Money".
Good call, forgot about that song, one of the best tracks off Elect The Dead
Your dad blew your mind lol. Spot on brother. She looked at you like “my dad...what?!” 😂🙌🏾
I love watching new people listening to stuff I've been listening to my whole life! I love the reactions!
You and your daughter have the same smile. It's beautiful!
I wish there would be more fathers.... No... No... Dads like you. Much love brother.
Loved your comment… life is a beautiful chaos. It never stops ♥️
You rock, Dude! And your daughter will be a good person with your teachings, 'cause the music open your mind!
you can feel the anger and frustration as the song progresses....such an amazing expression of emotion through music
You remind me of me and my kids. Love it. Subscribed 👍
I really love your father/ daughter interaction. Bringing her to new music and point of views. Subscribed! ❤️
One second into the vocals and you're already cracking up... yup that's System of a Down for ya. 😆
