By Pat's logic Real Madrid of 2017 18 was fantastic in the league and could have won la liga if u look at xg only..however the reality was they finished miles behind barcelona..vice versa with barcelona this season..on xg are not bad but are miles behind real madrid in terms of actual points.
By XG figures Man City could have scored 10 goals it’s all about putting the ball in the back on the net. Pep got it wrong when he was 1-0 up and Madrid needed 2 goals should have juts brought on 2 defenders instead put 11 players behind the ball.
@@RadiantMan08 Real Madrid had 2 shots on target 🎯 in 90 mins and won 2-1 so that whole XG is just plain silly 🙃 I do think if klopp goes 1 Goal up they will defend better Milatao was awful in both legs
The idea behind RJ as a rcb and Azpi is a rwb is when playing against tricky pacey left wingers, azpi doesn’t really have the legs to defend against it whereas RJ does. I think for our defence though we should be looking at kounde and potentially pau torres or gvardiol. Im fine with losing alonso as we can bring ian maatsen in as lwb cover for chilwell, and dujon sterling as backup for RJ. We do also DESPERATELY need a new defensive midfielder. I would love to go for rice or tchouameni, and its interesting to know how much Boehly is willing to invest this summer, but if we can’t go for one of those 2, it would be interesting to see if we go for a stopgap option, or see how gilmour perhaps does back in the first team.
Liverpool quietly built a front line that rivals Man City depth wise. City, including Haaland have 5-6 great-world class players (Haaland, Sterling, Grealish, Silva, Mahrez, Foden and Jesus if he stays) and Liverpool have are right there with them (Mane, Sarah, Firmino, Jota, Diaz). Firmino is aging out so he may not be around much longer but the likes of Harvey Elliot are coming through the ranks as well. Very impressive team building to really stay up with the top teams in Europe
For a squad in transition its great but they have too much hatred for Real Madrid to look at it that way, they compare it to man city and liverpool who have been building their squad for years. His disdain for la liga makes no sense. Barca are gonna become a force in europe next season and real are gonna be frightening with mbappe but hes gonna act like it was obvious development next season even though he trashed them all year long.

What you have to consider with Haaland's injuries is the status of Dortmund's injury management, Rose is horrible at this, the amount of times he's been forced to play injured this season. Haaland will be rotated at City
Tarkowski on a free wouldn’t be bad shout yes he’s at Burnley but they’ve always been defensively sound it’s juts scoring goals has always been Burnley’s problem.
I'm a Liverpool fan and I think signing someone like Raphinha, Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara for the price of Touchinemi seems like great business fills 2 slots in our midfield for aging players and puts more pressure on Salah to sign if Leeds go down that's £50m for those three signings
As a big fast man (I play CB tho not ST) The Haaland being at the edge of what's possible point is facts. I tore multiple ankle ligaments on one turn and it's easily possible that Haaland does something similar
I wonder if Chelsea extend an offer for Joe Gomez who looks to have fallen out of the lineup at Liverpool. A great talent with good speed that should be getting play time but currently sits at the number 4 CB with VVD, Konate, and Matip ahead of him in the selections. Also gets them a young player at possibly a great value.
Van Straten has very limited knowledge on Real Madrid and La Liga but he speaks like he watches every single minute of every single game, it's pretty hard to listen to
Exactly this !! His comments on Ceballos after the form he’s on recently proves that he has no idea what’s actually going on and bases his opinions off highlights and the odd champions league games.
Pep will just have man city play from deep and then play balls in behind for Haaland to run into. alternatively Haaland is excellent at short runs in transition which will allow man city to capitalize in the moment when they aren't in possession of the ball. Very Good movement for crosses and through balls. Similar to Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Alvarez and even Gabi Jesus. With passers like KDB, Rodi, Gudoghan, Cancelo behind them. He will be amazing.
Real is by far the most deserving team to be in the final. If anything, Liverpool is the most undeserving considering how easy their path has been. as a liverpool fan I would love tchouameni or nkunku, it just depends on if FSG decides to give players new deals, if not then prepare for a big summer I think
I think any business we do this summer depends on the players whose contracts run out in 2023 (Mane, Firmino, Salah, Keita, and Ox), and also Milner. I think Ox will leave, but if Keita signs a new deal, and Milner a 1 year extension than there isn't really room for another CM. We would have 7 in total in the 1st team alone. I think if Milner leaves though then there is an opportunity to get someone like Tchouameni or Laimer. Same goes for the attack. If our OG front 3 all sign new deals than we probably don't get anyone else. Origi leaves, but we already signed Diaz in January, and Carvalho will replace Minamino who will also likely leave. But if 1 or more of them don't sign a new deal than we probably go out and get someone like Nkunku, Bowen, Raphina, etc.
I think Liverpool probably need to sign a back up right fullback as I don't think Neco Williams is good enough yet and it will give more opportunity to rest Alexander-Arnold when needed
Chris says that Liverpool don't desperately need Tchouameni but what position DO Liverpool desperately need reinforcements in? Surely a central midfielder is the most needed of any position for them.
Liverpool: Tchouameni is who they should and will go for. That is unless it stops Jude coming next summer in which case they should do something like Ox out and Neuhaus in.
Turned it off after hearing it was only top three teams ( current) in each of the five top European leagues.. should have been top four or six to include teams confirmed as playing in Europe next season . Though I know you have to draw a line somewhere top three was a tad on the short side .
I have my doubts about the Haaland transfer not because of whether or not Pep can play with a number 9, but the supposed massive contract he will be on. Based on the rumour he will become the highest paid player in EPL at 500k pounds a week, this is a huge risk for such a young player. Firstly he cant be just scoring 20 goals a season, he has to be clearly the best player in the league and the squad to justify that kind of money. Because if he doesn’t do that then how would that affect the rest of the wage structure? How much would raise the likes of Foden, Cancelo, Rodri demand if Haaland is not clearly a level above them for the club? Then even if he does well, at such a young age, how much will he demand when it comes time for renewal? You’re staying at such a high level the club will need to break the wage structure to keep him. I’m not saying Haaland transfer is a bad idea, but it is way more risky than what these guys are suggesting.
@@c15rise35 Lol that's just plain wrong, if Haaland comes in and being the highest paid player in the league, he needs to have the perception of being the best player. Just like KDB is the highest paid player at City by miles and he needs to maintain his form. No matter how much Pep might value Haaland's imput, the perception of his standing will be how other players negotiate their wages. Look at how Alexis Sanchez messed up Man United's wage structure you might understand why it's important for the big wage earners to perform. He is the reason why DDG is on 350k, Martial is on 250k, and even Sancho is signed for 350k. The Man United wage structure is broken because of that decision. They have the highest wage budget in the league and most of their players are vastly overpaid. Same for City, if they're signing Haaland for contract that's so much higher than their current high earners, then he has to perform at that level. Otherwise when it comes time to renew their other important players, Haaland's contract will the benchmark they negotiate on.
@@metalfly. how’s that plain wrong? They are getting him for half his Market value? Naby keita cost 58 million, yet he’s be eh a failure up until this season? Haaland will cost 62milljon release clause but ya woudnt pin point keita injuries would you? Levels apart aswel this is a great deal to be done, considering you don’t do it now and you do it next season for £150 million and blow been more money and wages. It’s sensible to bring him in now due to the release clause. You’ve just waffled and repeats all the facts that i just told you to suit your narrative it’s a laughable. If a player can cost the same amount of money as Naby Keita and be levels above them in terms of output, physicality and stature and playing ability 🤷🏼♂️ if not this summer then when ??? This is the perfect and only summer Any team will save the most on Haaland. Your chatting nonsense by repeating the wage stats I have just told you. lit trying to say sanchez ruined the wage structure when they already had pogba, DDG before that and they were always going to buy ronaldo for those wages not because of Sanchez because they’re a simple club and got pressured
@@c15rise35 Again, you've completely missing the point, I'm not saying his transfer fee is a problem, nor is going after Haaland the wrong decision, but giving a 21 year old the highest wage in the league is a big risk. If he doesn't perform to the level that's expected of at that wage level, then the club will have problem with other player's wage demands. You are honestly just clueless, all your argument are just random and irrelevant. Honestly if you don't get why it's a risk I don't know how to make it any clearer to you. But we can wait and see how this turns out in two years time.
@UCvvXjLMCSX-D--737zQ-zlg Again, you just missed the piont, all that rambling doesn't address the issue. If you think just spouting nonsense will help your argument then that won't work. Like I said, if you are this oblivious about how football works then there's nothing more I can say to help you understand, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
@@metalfly. the ‘perception of his standing will be how other players negotiate’ truly shows how much you know about the sport and contractual negotiations, delusional

Hamil a couple of weeks ago I stated my rangers would win the league 😂……. Well That isn’t gonna happen congrats bro we have the final on the 18th so overall benefits our spl if both teams could be in champions league next year 💯
Alvarez will be a better signing than Haaland. Haaland will smash it, but he's expected to. Alvarez is a relative unknown to a lot of European fans. Alvarez is probably better than Lautaro was when he left Argentina for Inter and we all remember the hype around him coming out
I just wanna chime in and say Real would walk Serie A comfortably. It’s competitive but it’s not a good league. I actually think Brighton would probably win it, especially if they had a better striker.
Real would walk Serie A, but saying Brighton would probably win it is literal insanity 😭 I’d say Milan clubs are slightly better or at the level of the top four chasing teams (so below liverpool city Chelsea)
@@ashdude3058 It’s not hyperbole, I’ve been watching Roma all season and they’ve been extremely average but they were in a top 4 fight for most the season. Brighton are much better run and better drilled. With a good striker they could comfortably challenge. The standard of Serie A isn’t very high. Roma conceded 9 goals in 3 matches in the first 10 off games and still had the second best defensive record in the league after it.
@@ashdude3058 They scraped past 14th place Leicester playing worse than usual? If Vardy was younger it wouldn’t have even been close. Brighton are higher and playing better football, they just lack a good striker but when without they would do ok.
When I question the Haaland to Man City move, I don´t focus on Pep not being able to make it work with a different kind of striker. I focus on EPL being very defensively rigid. No high line, no space to run in behind. I worry it might just be another Lukaku to Chelsea situation. And I wouldn´t care about it if I didn´t know all I´ll hear from EPL fans is gonna be some nonsense about Prem being the most difficult league in the world since not even Haaland could cut it there completely ignoring it´s probably the most defensive league in Europe at the moment.
that's an interesting take, I saw some BVB saying nearly the same thing some wishing he went to Madrid. I'm curious what EPL team would you see him thriving at.
The city pitch is quiet big though they make a lot of chances I think the biggest difference between haaland and lakaka is he is twice as efficient I’m a Liverpool fan and I’m not looking forward to haaland at city at all
I definitely agree, but the only thing i would add is Haaland seems to have a stronger mental aspect to his game than Lukaku. As a Belgian and having watched him throughout years playing for the national team, Lukaku is someone who looks like one of the best in the world when hes in an environment where he feels comfortable, in qualifiers for major tournaments hes fantastic, go to the actual tournament and he will suddenly be a different player. The same thing happens at club level, outside of the European elite hes exceptional, when he gets his big money move hes suddenly performing at a much lower level.
@@eggegg4933 I´m not sure any ball-dominant side in England is a good fit. I might easily be wrong but he thrives on a counter - even his assists are just him being 2v1 with the goalkeeper and passing the ball to whoever was able to keep up the pace with him. Italy or Spain would be much safer destinations stylistically.
@@benjaminv6039 Yeah, that can make a huge difference. Haaland might just be so much more willing to adapt, learn and change his game. Might take a season before he turns into a different kind of goalscoring machine but he might easily do that eventually and I´ll look like a fool for questioning him. He is a mentality beast.
Odegaard asked to leave just like covacic so madrid let him and both were not Madrid level, they are not like psg forcing a player to stay.Camavinga is a 19 year old and you want him to replace one of the greatest if not the greatest trio of all time in his first season, he has been given plenty of minutes and his progression can be clearly seen.Atleast put some effort when researching about European clubs besides bashing them without having any idea

tbf he’s been amazing on loan at fulham, but is probably gonna stay there next season, and joe gomez has been much better at RB
@@AnkeBrm the problem with Gomez is his injury issues
City do have the best attack. Maybe was filmed before the Newcastle game.
Colwell is coming through for Chelsea. Colwell, Chalobah, Sarr as young defenders and Azpi, Silva as senior ones should work
Colwill*
Nah man we need another peak good defender...like rudiger a strong no nonsense defender so the young ones can develop
for a midtable finish ahahahah

Sarr shouldn't be in the squad at all
Great show!
That is an absolutely gorgeous shirt Joe!
Chris says that Liverpool don't desperately need Tchouameni but what position DO Liverpool desperately need reinforcements in? Surely a central midfielder is the most needed of any position for them.
This makes me want to play FM
Best signing of 2022-23 (?). He is everything Lukuka wanted to be. 10 goals a season -- cake.
As a red it has to be a progressive midfielder as Henderson is 30 Thiago is getting on a bit they cannot play forever at the top level
Do you know how Chelsea replace Rudiger
Just move to back 4
Exactly
That cuts down the productivity of Reece James and Chilwell massively
That volume drop when Joe leant back is mad.
Shows how carefully calibrated the microphones are
They finally did it... chapters
Liverpool: Tchouameni is who they should and will go for. That is unless it stops Jude coming next summer in which case they should do something like Ox out and Neuhaus in.
Is the podcast coming back?
Very good
All these stats xg and that do my head in watch football with your eyes
Liverpool need a quality backup RB. A Tsimikas on the other side
back again! this time it’s 2:13am here in la, cheers ladies and gentlemen 🍻
Chelsea should get Gvardiol, Pau Torres, Ricardo Pereira, Koulibaly, Koundé & Kamara.
So Joe thinks that Pep brought the best out of Lewandowski and Aguero? You don’t think they were doing extraordinary before and after Pep?
Turned it off after hearing it was only top three teams ( current) in each of the five top European leagues.. should have been top four or six to include teams confirmed as playing in Europe next season . Though I know you have to draw a line somewhere top three was a tad on the short side .
Woah hold up rodygo is a great squad player that can change a game!
Awful opinions on Real Madrid, no disrespect but Pato clearly dosnt watch Real Madrid or keeps up with the club news.
We need Hasan Karim on Sunday Vibes! We need proper representation
Obviously he does not..he is a moron..keeps calling a side awful which has won la liga with 4 games to spare, reached ucl final by knocking out psg chelsea man city, won the spanish super cup and have a win% of 72.5..i personally never take his opinions seriously.
what did he say thats wrong?
For once Pat talking about Real Madrid was a stinker
I think City with Haaland up front will get them UCL, I don’t expect anything different for next season.
Same top 4 probably maybe Spurs can get in if Conte stays.
Chelsea won't make it

Horrible Real Madrid take. Eder miltao one of the best center half’s in la liga with David alaba. They brought in camavinga with Fede Valverde. Potentially signing a new right back. Rudiger already signed to sure up the defence. They might sign a DM with mbappe coming in. There in the champions league final this year with next season looking like a monster team.

tuchel said reece james was playing cb bcos his knee was recovering and its a less demanding position
The holy trinity
Joe saying Real will win Seria A, made it sound really easy. Lol
Alvarez will be a better signing than Haaland. Haaland will smash it, but he's expected to. Alvarez is a relative unknown to a lot of European fans. Alvarez is probably better than Lautaro was when he left Argentina for Inter and we all remember the hype around him coming out
For us I would say Rice. Only because Kante is so injury prone.
Cb is more needed
Pat ok we get it you dont like madrid
Could you add Sunday vibes to Spotify?
I just wanna chime in and say Real would walk Serie A comfortably. It’s competitive but it’s not a good league. I actually think Brighton would probably win it, especially if they had a better striker.
Wouldn’t go that far
@@teddyeastside8051 Roma just beat Leicester recently lol
@@ashdude3058 They scraped past 14th place Leicester playing worse than usual? If Vardy was younger it wouldn’t have even been close. Brighton are higher and playing better football, they just lack a good striker but when without they would do ok.
Why don’t you put pictures up of the players your talking about anymore?
Sad times as United fan seeing haaland join city
Why do players seemingly play for the badge more at a club like Madrid compared to a psg?
the EFD lads are still on the beers on continental club so at least there is that
i have no idea why Pato keeps speaking on Real Madrid he literally watches NONE of our games 😂
Unfortunately “imagining” is all you’re going to do with City. You guys are somehow in love with them on this channel. Teams that have a spine don’t have to imagine, they win the premier competitions.
Is the podcast gone? What's going on with that?
Pat calling Haaland two footed and an aerial presence when the guys right foot is pretty useless and is a below average header of the ball is on the same level of him saying that Messi has the best week foot of all time shows that he doesn’t watch football
