You only made minor changes on the body and head, but obvious improvement can be seen in the leather look and the new facial hair. The photo shoot is amazing. Can feel the changes in expression in different poses and interaction between figures. Great jobs! 👍👍👍
So I love how you stray from black when you can for the shadows. When it comes to lighter colors, especially white, I love using a watered down sky blue. This way you can still bring out the details and make it look a little bit more realistic as if the figure were outside where the light of the sky can reflect off their clothes.
Hi Ken, new subscriber and i love you're work. I have this figure and i too wanted to make him look much better. I'll be taking some hints from you on how I can make it better. But I did something a bit different for the mask and knee pads. I added some gun metal gray to the center of the mask and knee pads. I wanted them to have a more armored and protective look. And I think they look good and it helps to make some details pop.
I actually have the head off the peg, I feel like it looks better and allows for natural head tilt which is a problem with this figure as it the head looks stiff and sunk in. Nice subtle changes you made. I've been wanting to change the legs completely on mine.
I definitely don't blame you for choosing something a bit simpler this week, that Sinister Strange was complicated! You did a good job here; subtle changes but they made the figure better. I know you said it at the end of the video, but would love the Armoured Thor to be the first figure you do from the Thor wave, really need your help with mixing a shade of gold paint to match the gold paint Hasbro used on the body! I'm going to use that to paint the helmet and arms. I already had a go with it and mixed gold leaf with orange, but it ended up being too warm. Also tried with yellow and red separately. Figured I'd wait for you before painting on another layer, as I don't want to fill in the lines on the figure too much.
I am likely going to work my way up to the Armoured Thor. There are a few other Thors I would like to get to first. The armoured one seems to be the trickiest to fix. 🫣
Adding blue to silver can make silver more metallic and colder. It really works. 👍👍

The fixing seems not much but all subtle changes are all effective, esp the facial hair and pants.
