You have been less than 2h drive from my home when you landed at Kastrup😅
(1.5h North East from the bridge)
Welcome to Denmark Ginny
Aww, if you'd swung by Odense, I would've definitely been there to give you a hug.
Edit: btw, there's a fantasy festival in Esbjerg on Sept. 14-15. I think you'd pretty much be like a rock star there, if you went.
You are so lucky
Not going to lie, this is the first time I have outright been jealous of your experiences in a video. I am so effin' happy you got to do this amazing thing, Ginny! Thanks for documenting it for the rest of us!
Thank you!! I think you can tell how surprised I was to get this opportunity and I had the best time 🥰
@@GinnyDi your happy jet-lag-dead-tired face as you sit down for the return trip says it all🤏💤😉
To the point that I almost didn't watch the video.
Im also soooooooo jealous.
No please lie it's more interesting lol 😅
Really cool that they inculded the original designer in the 1-shot, i thought he did great!
He was SUCH a sweetheart, too - you could tell that it really meant a lot to him to be involved (and it was really cool for us to get to play with the person who came up with the original set design!) 🥰
Forget "10 year old Ginny", I don't think "5 years ago Ginny" would believe what you've accomplished already! The dragon looks RAVISHING (and possibly ravaging).
Honestly, two days ago Ginny can't quite believe it either! 😂
I notice that you make sure to use the phrase "Lego bricks" when talking about the plastic pieces, not just "Legos." I know the Lego group is surprisingly adamant about that!
What started the plural 'Legos' the company name also works as a plural. This has annoyed me for years.
@@hyperx5758 I have heard that they want to prevent their brand from becoming a generic name for the item, because then it won't be protected by trademark laws. This has happened a ton before with stuff like q-tips (which are actually cotton swabs, q-tips is a brand).
“Lego” also means “play well” so plural would be plays wells?
@@lburrsshinyhunts2253 I don't think that's how that works in Latin or Danish. It's not a 1-1 with English where add an S and it becomes plural. But yeah I've always just called it Lego because that's what it is to me it's individual Lego bricks and studs and plates and stuff but it is all collectively Lego.
@@evewithwonder interestingly enough I don't call them q-tips they are cotton buds to me. But yeah I get the whole trade mark thing but the generalisation of Lego for me is just the company's products as a whole. I include sets in that as well. I refer to the individual items by their property names like plates and studs. But when talking about a large amount of it Legos just seems unnecessary.
THE CROSSOVER WVENT OF THE CENTURY
RIGHT?! D&D is doing some super cool crossovers lately and I'm totally here for it 🙌
Definitely
This tops the Jimmy Neutron Fairly Odd Parents crossover
justice for tiny pastel pool build, she deserves her moment in the spotlight!!! I will give her her flowers!!
As a lifelong LEGO collector and fellow Dungeon Master… I have never been more jealous in my life.
But seriously, congrats! This is awesome.
Thank you, friend!! 🥰 I would've brought everyone with me if I could've! Seriously can't believe I got to do this.
lol I was literally thinking about Crispy’s jealousy the whole vid. Dude’s got an obsession
The unbridled joy on display here made my day.
Same!
Seriously, someone needs to come out with "Ginny's Energy Drink"!
On my BEST day I am not as energetic, upbeat & bubbly as Ginny seems to be EVERY day! lol
I love blog videos like this, because it shows how Ginny Di is literally just a normal person and fan whose hard work has allowed her to live out these incredible experiences.
You are also on the frontpage of D&D beyond carrying a giant lego torch, it was a pleasant surprise to see you there!
Never be ashamed of your Lego build. It is your build, and you made it.
That looked absolutely amazing, and surprisingly practical. Who would've thought bricks made for building literally anything would be good for DnD? Jokes aside, snaps to the Lego team for helping this happen.
Anjali is a fantastic lady. She was a guest of my track at DragonCon a few years back.
This looks like a great experience. I’m so stoked for you.
"all i had accomplished" excuse you? that house is amazing!
Maybe I have a future with LEGO architecture after all 😂🙏
So great to see that you had a wonderfull trip to Billund. Little strange to see one of my favorite roleplaying creators walking around where I work ;o)
I'm sure I have tourist goggles on but I love Billund so much! Hope you enjoy working there 🥰🥰
Being a Critter the fact you got to play with Anjali & Luis who've both guested on CR has me so jealous.
Congrats though for the opportunity in general too. Can't wait to watch the one-shot.
It’s so much fun. Anjali is a fantastic DM and Luis is so much fun to watch bringing the gravitas. Ginny brought her usual earnest, goofy (in the best way) energy to it too. And both Lucas and Jordan brought a lot of charm in unexpected ways to the table. Plus those sets are just incredible. The one-shot was a blast from beginning to end to watch with friends on the premiere!
It's so cool you went to denmark.
I worked on the project for their office in billund (lego campus) while i was at C.F. Møller (the architects that designed it) And from that office, to the lego house, everything looks so cool.
The campus is so god damn huge.
Congratulations Ginny! Thanks for taking us with you on this experience! Lego and D&D is truly a match made in heaven. :)
This made both laugh and cry with happiness for you! I'm so glad you got this opportunity, and thank you for bringing us behind the scenes with you like this! So darn cool! 😍🥰❤️
Thank you!! 🥰I was sad I couldn't pop to Norway after. Darn schedules!
This is amazing!! I am so going to that VOD next to watch that! And don't sell yourself short, Ginny, you would be on any promotion team's short list! You have such an upbeat, positive energy that is infectious. And when you get excited about something, you seem to really love to share that enery and excitement with everybody. ❤
I really wish they would release the Lego DM Screen just as like. Build instructions with the brick list.
Don't create dreams that will never happen stranger. Now I want that and I'm sad it doesn't exist.
Hope you had a great time in my home country. Its kind of fun to see your excitement about going to denmark, when I myself have lived here my entire life.
When she said they were exploring Billund i found it super funny, the city itself is just incredibly unnoteworthy.
It's still wild seeing Luis in these huge DND things and being like "Yo my old theater professor knows Ginny Di!!!"
So happy for You and Josh to have an absolutely wild time in Lego House and so cute seeing you both at the end being big kids together 🥰
Sometimes I'm so jaded about life that I struggle to believe that stuff like this is possible, and yet here you are embodying everything that I ever dreamed about for half my life. So happy for you!!!
Congrats on your participation in this! My daughter only days ago sent me notice of this LEGO set's release and here you are testing the whole thing out in a real game. Wonderful.
Really cool to see the backstage of this whole thing!
Lego D&D combines my 2favourite things ever. I've been using lego minis for my games for years, so I can't wait to build my copy at the weekend!
What an awesome experience! Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
This is incredible! Thank you for taking us on this journey with you!
Love that all these great content creators get to live out all these sweet fantasies that us plebs will never get to experience. Good job, you did it!!
Ahh the memories, the box being opened. The lego being spread out. My Sister's kids wandering off while I did all the work.
I saw that. I didn't know it was in Denmark. Cool.
This is SUPER RAD! So happy you were able to make it out there! I can't wait to watch the stream 😍
The video they made about the session actually is the best video I’ve ever seen that shows how a session is actually supposed to play out.
Yeah it’s a great demonstration of how silly, irreverent, and enjoyable DnD can be. It’s still an adventure, with all the monsters and danger, but filled with so much charm. I mean Luis even works in some literature at one point. Ginny makes a really cool choice as an academic, that just pays off so well. It’s a ton of fun.
The adventure video was SO FUN to watch!! I've already watched it twice and now i also wanna DM the adventure 😂 I didn't know any of the other members except for you but now I love Anjali and Luis, too!!
Love you Ginny!!!!!!!
As a supreme Lego and D&D fan, I am very jealous that you got to go to Lego HQ and play the module with the set AND get a set in the vault with your name on it. But very proud that you got to do it as well 😊
That may be the coolest DnD event I have heard of in a while!
As an American living in Denmark, velkommen
So happy for you! That hotel and that set look amazing!
This made me smile from start to finish, and when you didn’t think it could get any better: cat!
You doing the snow angels in the pit of Lego bricks was awesome. Could feel the glee through the screen.
Also... dang, that box is big...
This is amazing and I am so happy for you, Ginny! I'll make sure to check out the session at some point in the near future. Also, if we ever get a Lego D&D movie I think that it would be cool if you got to voice one of the characters.
Super jealous of this Ginny. Looks like an amazing time and an amazing event. I have to get that Lego set at some point it looks incredible. Thank you for sharing your experience with us all.
This was amazing to watch. As a lifelong Lego fan, and a fan of yours, I am so happy you got to experience this. I loved watching the Red Dragon's Tale adventure, and I'm not gonna lie, I got a little emotional watching you visit everything at the Lego Group.
Thank you so much!! Really glad you enjoyed the adventure 💖
What an awesome experience! So well deserved.
Whoa, I am sooo jealous.😉 I visited Legoland Billund once almost 5 decades ago. Can you imagine the pure joy of a six year old boy to be in a Lego wonderland?🤩 (...and the devastation that I had to leave later that day 😢😉) I hope one day for a whole Lego themed DnD game set with minifigures and lego-character-sheets and stuff...
We couldn't get to visit Legoland because it's currently closed so I understand!!
I guess we just have to go back 🙏😂
This is so cool! When I first saw the promo pics and video trailer, I was instantly like; “GASP! Ginny!”
ME TOO 😂
@@GinnyDi 🤣🤣
D&D and Lego are such natural allies, I’m shocked there has not been a steady stream of “here is a fantasy themed D&D Lego set, and the short adventure that goes with it” every year for my entire life.
Oh I'm so happy you made a video on your experience there! I loved the combination of lego and dnd!
From Denver to Denmark and return
This particular intersect of D&D and lego has my inner child howling. So glad you got to take part in this
I watched the whole premiere... Ginny, you were awesome! The whole group did a good job. Anjali was unfreaking believable. What a great DM (for first time even)!
Thank you!! And you're SO right. Anjali delivered an absolute masterclass in DMing 🥰
The fact that your signature is on the set that's in the vault is SO F'ING COOL!! Holy wow!
I was so happy to hear you are involved in this, and am very envious of your experience! :)
I haven't seen the full play-through yet, but I have a tab on my browser with it ready to go when I have some time!
Congratulations on securing an amazing experience and an unforgettable opportunity!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for sharing this travelogue with us. I’ve always appreciated your positive attitude and GM/Player advice, but it was also really cool to see you just travel somewhere new and geek out over Lego and the entire production of the one shot. You all put together a thoroughly entertaining adventure. Kudos to you and the whole cast and crew. Good luck with the build!
Love it!! #life goals! Cant wait to see the whole build, you need to show it off once complete!
I've been loving your last videos more than ever. I enjoyed this one a lot! I really had fun even when I watched this after a really long and rough day, so thank you for that! Omg I liked those lego torches so much, even small details like that shine on their own
Great trip , looks like a ton of fun , Happy to see you went back to the green.
I always love Luis' energy, can't wait to watch this! Can imagine you two worked really well together
It was so nice to spend more time with him. He's such a nice guy and it was really fun rping with him.
We had this ongoing joke that the two of us looked exactly alike... but I guess you kind of had to be there for that one 😅
@@GinnyDi Haha, I've been there...or at least I had a similar running joke in game where my halfling and another player's Goliath told everyone we were brothers (we did a two truths one lie thing the first night at camp and it stuck).
Not me just being over jealous of you getting to stay in such an awesome Nijargo themed room, I'm obsessed with that show!
Ninjago is an amazing show. And yes I’m obsessed as well. Dragons rising S2 has been amazing so far.
@@epigreviews5405 yes I wholeheartedly love this show and am getting my dad to watch it through with me right now 😂
Hope you enjoyed the countrie. Living in Denmark and seeing you travel here, just makes me so happy.
This is every fans dream!!! So incredibly awesome that you got to do this 💛💛 loved the vlog style video it was so fun to watch :)
Fun! Thanks for sharing!
I so happy you got to do this, what an amazing experience!
I am SO glad you did this!! Love your work, Ginny! Thank you fFor being awesome and fFun and delightful!!!
what a fun adventure!! thanks for bringing the internet along for a bit of the travels behind the game!!
Thanks friend!!
Welcome to Denmark AAAA! I hope you had a great time here in Denmark, and I can't believe Lego would make such a cool collab with you guys!
The one shot was amazing and this video is incredible! Thank you for sharing ❤
Just watched the lego session on release, was so happy to see this part form you!!
I am so happy for you. This all looks amazing. ❤
How fun! Love these videos!
i just finished watching the campaign and i LOVED IT
probably my favorite one shot so far! im definetly running it, the way you all played it was so much fun to watch!
Omg! Omg! Omg! I am sooooo happy for you! So exciting! And not gonna lie, I'm jelly too. What a cool merge of great things. Can't wait to watch and hopefully get my own set.
Just watched the full Lego video, quite good!
Oh that looks like so much fun! Grats on being picked! That set looks awesome as well.... aaah! I want it!
Glad you're having fun!
Funny to come across your particular channel from my algorithm because of my love for Lego.
But I must say I’m glad it did because I’m actually wanting to get more into tabletop games other than tcgs.
So glad you got to experience this fun adventure! Going to Denmark and visiting LEGO is on my inner child wishlist must dos. I’ll have to watch the live stream of the game!
Also you and your boyfriend had me laughing when building the dragon. You guys look exactly like my wife when seeing so many bricks. Nonetheless it was awesome to see the build!
First and foremost, I already ordered mine, but to get cheaper on costs, a friend will bring it to me in June. On the other hand, I love how natural and excited you look exiting Lego HQ after signing the box and leaving it on the shelf. That would be a super milestone in my life!
My current passion together with my childhood passion… I can’t believe it.
I have so many good memories from when I went to Billund at 9.
Thanks for the video, it reminded me of some emotions I forgot growing up!
Congrats. That sounds so fun!!
Well deserved - they made the perfect choice when selecting you for this adventure! This video sharing your experience was perfect.
Thank you so much!
That is incredible l! I already watched the game. Thank you for sharing all this! It's so awesome to get to see =)
love that youre playing wingspan on the plane
I watched this (the D&D game itself) the other day! that set is so cute & you guys all seemed to gel and it was fun :)
One of my favorite of your videos!
Is that just because you shot most of it? 😜
Thank you for sharing this with us!
Sounds like an awesome experience!🎉
Gosh it’s not often that you get to see content creators this excited and genuinely enthralled :D you were beaming and it was a joy to watch!
Considering how long it took us to make one red dragon with INSTRUCTIONS, I can't begin to imagine how much work it took to make that table 🤯
@@GinnyDi oh yeahhh. I cannot begin to imagine how many people and time that must’ve taken o.o
Watched you live, that was fun. Good game😊
You did so well, Ginny! I watched it live and it was great to see you actually playing (a first for me!). I loved Jordan's reaction when you started talking about dragging corpses back to the professor's medical laboratory! Mwuhawawa! He had a look of "Oh no! Children might be watching!"
I read the entire DM guide for the kit and it looks like you guys covered 98% of everything. Did they coach you before playing to make sure you covered everything? It certainly didn't appear to be scripted, but if so, good job! Anjali was SO good! I can't believe it was her first time DMing.
I want to hear your myconid voices!
I knew very little about the game before going in! They tried to keep as many things a surprise as possible so the stream got our organic reactions 😊
They definitely coached Anjali to make her first time DMing easier though so I'm sure she steered us in the right direction!
Oh, heck yeah that looked like fun! And the group you played with are some awesome people!
One of your best uploads!
that looks like such an awesome trip!
I'm not only happy (and jealous) for your journey, but also the fans that might've stopped by to get a photo, I certainly would if I had seen you there. Awesome content Ginny, and keep inspiring players and dungeon masters alike!
Whaaaat, that's so awesome looking and you make it irresistibly fun!
It was so fun to watch. Love that you had fun ❤
What a glorious experience! Thank you for sharing it with us! ❤
