  • This is a film with plenty going on. First Graeme hits the beach but a hunch makes him take along a tiny spinning rod..did it pay off? Then it’s over to Grant in the bait room of the tackle shop where he goes through some of the groundbait qualities, explaining what each type does,which is ideal for beginners who might just want to learn..then he shows the Pro's way of getting more air into your groundbait so it breaks down better underwater and hopefully attracts more fish to your bait...Not finished yet,Graeme checks the garden,and as the weather changes decides to find out how waterproof the mini Saxon house is....in a thunderstorm ??..... He wanted to get film of a lightning strike ....???.... Is the man one sandwich short of a picnic ..??..we all know the answer to that !...Finally he has a rant after finding one of the more dangerous things that thoughtless people do in the outdoors and makes his opinion felt.Hopefully it might stop others making the same mistake...Its a full watch of mixed topics....another Totally Awesome mashup film...Enjoy..

    The problem we have Graham is the lack of discipline, and that's across the board, in the home at school and by the police.

      I can't argue with that. A lack of respect for almost anything and everything...Bring back National Service I say ,brings out a different kind of person.

    I have never washed my rods and reels in fresh water. All I do is wipe them over with a damp cloth. I've never had an issue with salt corrosion. I do, however, wash my rigs down with fresh water.

    Hope you had some of the rain the other day, it was lovely here in Plymouth.
    If we win the competition there's a chance I'll be on Hailing island on that beach fishing. Will I care if I don't catch anything? No, I'll just be happy to be back on an island where my family once lived..... Also a very small chance of bumping into you Graeme. 😀👍

    Firstly I absolutely love your channel and the others with Mike! Having lived in Littlehampton all my life, you’ve inspired me to get back into fishing from the beach and river…. However there’s a reason they call it fishing and not catching 😂 I’m gonna keep going and hopefully get better!

      If you live in Littlehampton i would recommend taking a trip down to selsey and you would be in with the chance of smoothound and some decent bass. You will encounter a lot of weed but just be patient and it will clear eventually.

    I'm afraid I'm very late watching your latest video, but I found it very interesting. It's difficult to put names to individual Roses, as there are so many, but they all look like David Austin Roses.( The breeder of New English Roses) The champagne coloured one, on the side of the house looks like one called Grace.

      Thanks for the comment.There was a worn name tag on one when I moved it up from Yeovil and it was indeed a David Austin rose.

    Great video. A friend of mine is a fireman in The Lake District & they have been out to numerous fellside fires, mostly caused by those disposable barbecues. There is also so much rubbish left behind, because they can't be bothered to take it away with them..?

    Nice video Graeme 🎣 👍. I have separate rods & reels, for fresh water & salt water fishing. Yes you will end up with alot of rods & reels, just desiccant them for their perpace. Less hassle at the of the day. I soak my ocean reels in warm water with a splash dish soap, for 15 minutes. Then rinse them off with fresh water.

    I'm not just saying it but that was a great video once again Graeme. Your videos are informative and entertaining and as you've said many times "To teach the younger generation". Many of the youngsters today don't get taught not to litter by their parents BUT was that youngsters who left a barbecue (which you have to be 18 to buy AND a chair which would cost in excess of £100 when new) I have to ask?? Many parents or people old enough to have kids themselves are far worse at littering than kids are and those who do have kids tend to forget to teach them properly and bring them up well by installing simple basic rules.....Take your litter home.....remember your manners.....respect nature etc etc

    A general tip for groundbait is to start working on it as soon as you start setting up on the bank because it'll take about 15 mins to fully absorb the water. This gives you plenty of time to sort out your seat, float rod/feeder rod, bait etc. and then you can check in on your groundbait and see if it's the right consistency or whether it needs a tiny bit more water. If it does need a bit more water go super easy as it'll go from a bit dry to slop remarkably fast at this stage, just dip your hand in the lake and flick the water off your finger tips into the groundbait, it may well be plenty.
    Also your tree won't really dry out all that well while it's standing. It'll take a decade for the main trunk to start drying and in the meantime you're constantly at risk of a branch losing the fight with gravity while you're underneath it or worse if fungus and insect life weakens the main trunk and it comes crashing down in a wind. Personally I'd drop it before it drops itself and lands on something that'll cost more to replace/repair

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  Год назад

      You may well be right there as I took a long hook,snagged some of the branches that looked ready to snap but I couldn't as they were still springy. I may start nipping the odd branch off and storing it in logs to dry better. Maybe willow takes longer to dry than other trees ??

    • @DjDolHaus86
      @DjDolHaus86 Год назад

      @@TAFishing Willow does hold a lot of water but the main issue is that it's hard for the water to get out unless you expose the grain structure

    Good to remind people to wash off their reels and rods with fresh water. I actually take my reels in the shower with me when I get home. It's become a routine with me.

    Great video as always Sir, I really learnt a lot from yourself and Grant regarding ground baits.
    He didn't just show top of the range stuff but also cheaper alternatives, different types and how they can be mixed.
    Regarding rubbish I am someone just getting back into the UK side of the sport after 34 years overseas. I cant believe how people can leave rubbish, it saddens me so much to the point I have started taking a rubbish bag along with me to pick up other peoples litter.
    As for the portable BBQ left behind I agree what have they been cooking? Also so close to pre harvest tinder dry crops who some farmer has grown, very unfair to him if the lot goes up in smoke ....
    Rant over!
    Big thanks again mate.
    Cheers.
