- A couple weekends ago, I hosted a clothing swap party with a small group of friends and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. We had a great time shopping each other's unwanted clothes FOR FREE, and I want you all to get in on the fun too!

Hmm. Step 1: make friends. 😊
🤣🤣 oof
We used to have one every year until Covid closed it down for us, now five years later, we are starting it back up! I'm hosting one next month after years of being out of commission, so excited!! We also make the event a Potluck, so the host doesn't have to cook, works out well.
💮That does sound like a fun event. I'm going to suggest this idea to my daughter the clothes hoarder.
🌺This sounds great! As a parallel, I spent some of yesterday helping a friend to sort out his late wife’s clothing. Even though she was a different size and colour type and had a different sense of style, there were still some items which I can use, including a winter coat. The rest is for charity or recycling.
So a clothing swap wouldn’t require everyone to be size medium, True Winter, etc.
Exactly! Everyone who attended has such different personal styles and body types, but as long as there’s some overlap in sizing everyone can find something :)
I love the green floral dress 🌸
Really great! I've been to a couple of clothing swaps but never have hosted one myself😊
That green floral dress is so gorgeous 🌺
I attend swap party since 2005 and we do it differently.... Everyone bring their cloths (no minimum no maximum) we seat in a circle and go one item a the time and if we have multiple people interested we put it aside for a draw, if only one person is interessed that person get the piece right away. if NO one want the piece it goes to charity. we usually drink and eat and we dont have any time limit. Usually 10 people is enough. its a lot of fun and a nice way to meet new people.🌼🌷🌺🏵
That’s such an interesting way to run the event, I would have never thought of that lol. Thanks for sharing!
@@OutfitRepeater also what's fun is every piece of clothing have its own little history i mean at the beginning of the exchange my friends and I are like -''that's a top, Medium, in coton purchased when I was in Ireland in 2005 and its just too small''. At the end of the day lets just say we have less ''small talk'' and back end story for our pants/top/dress but hey it's a good ice braker.. hahaha its always make our day interresting. it's also help that I know a lot of people who worked for the Cirque du Soleil so they travel a lot for their job ... and often purchased clothing around the world or even made their own clothing. I have several handmade clothing made by friend of a friend. That's the beauty of swaping party done that way ... we not only know a little slice of history of that person but also what that piece of clothing meant to that person.
🌺 Great idea!
🌸🌺 Wanna try this!
