I am SO glad to have found your videos. I thought maybe my mustache parakeet was a picky eater, but turns out yours drops the same amount of food as well. I've also always wondered why mine would only wash her beak and feet, but it looks like that's normal. Not sure why she bathes while we vacuum, too. 😂 Thank you for this video! I felt stuck with her diet because I assumed she was picky, but I've noticed she'll sometimes go back to things she's dropped.

Loved this video, THANKYOU.. I have a rehomed Moustache called Maple, she is approx., 9mths old, and I’ve had her for about 3mths, and the similarities to Marbles behaviour was so great to see, as I stumble through getting to know Maple. When I got Maple, she was in a pretty small cage, all seed diet, and hadn’t been handled since forever, no toys, and wings clipped. Took her to Vet and she was full of worms, got that sorted out. So slowly changed diet to how you feed also , has much bigger flight cage, lots of toys, she loooves balsa wood, big chewers as you know.
She hated hands, so for about the first 3 weeks she drew blood daily, but now she is happy, still not a hand fan, but happy to get on me from wrist up, I settle for that for now, it took a lot of work, she has put on weight, her feathers look so much better, she tries to fly, but crashes to floor, I’m not sure she was ever able to fly, very little confidence with it, but she did take off from me today and landed on her playstand, I was so excited she didn’t crash to floor, she got a whole almond and a lot of clapping from me, she loves the clapping when she does something good, also the bits of almonds of course. She talks a lot now, she is still all green, no salmon chest yet.

Hopefully Maple will be happier and be able to fly. Sadly some breeders clip before the bird ever flies and the bird has to learn once the flight feathers come in. Her chest muscles need to build up and she will fly. Keep letting her fly short distances and she should get better.
Maple is a cute name.

Hiya Donna, i just love the fun filled day that Marbles had.Happy Hatch Day Marbles. What beautiful toys Marbles and cute how some were hidden in a little box that looks like a piece of cake. I like it that Marbles can come out and go right over to a cup in a pole. Marbles looked a little mad at some of her toys .Iam. very familiar with her mini tandrum, as Stormy gets that way with one particular toy with a big bell on it.He fights with it and sometimes he hollers at it. Lol.i think you gave your Marbles a beautiful day, and i bet she was pooped !!! I happened to get a look at your Orchids.And may i say that they are just georgous. I have a mini Orchid and its been blooming since March. I had one a few yrs ago and i lost it in a power outage before we got our generator. Ahh, such a nice video of Marbles; she's beautiful and very smart. It's great how you followed her from morning to evening; seeing her handle her food, splash in water and get wet in shower, play and tear apart toys, and talk. I like how you warned when she would screech; I turned up the volume and my budgies all started chirping. Hey, we are coming up on Jack Sparrow's anniversary; 3 years - July 2018 (I looked through old videos). It would be wonderful to see more anniversary/birthday "rescue" videos of your pets; example: Daisy, Buddy the Angelfish, Jack Sparrow.

Wich bird is better with kids a moustache parakeet or green cheek
Hi. I don't recommend a Moustache Parakeet. Their beaks are large and can cause damage if bitten. My Moustache Parakeet is very grumpy and tries to bite me all the time.
Green cheeks are considered a nippy species. Their beaks are smaller so if they bite it won't be so bad.
Birds should be supervised at all times around children.
Birds are individuals and they may or may not be friendly or tame.
Green cheeks can be cuddly or like to be petted on the head.
A cockatiel is a nice family bird.
Was wondering is it ok to stop handling a parrot that to eggressive and keep biting and drawing blood can it just be kept in a cage and let out alot and general care be provided just no handling
My brother used to have a parrot like yours but my dad told him to give it away cos it didnt like him which was sad.
Awhh, its can be hard to live with a bird that doesn't like you.
@@Loveofpets yeah i know. My female budgie loves me she wags her tail and like to give me kiss on my finger. My male one doesnt like human contact at all
I bought one 3 months old now don't know whether it's male or female, but their mood changes anytime 😂 sometimes they behave really very good and sometimes aggressive biting 🥴

Hi, she mostly comes to me. It is hard to keep an aggressive bird but what I do is read their body language and give them space and not make them do something that they don't want to do. I use positive reinforcement.
