    Is this the best campsite in Pennsylvania?

      Enjoy your exploration! Sproul has such great views if you know where to look for them.

      Glad you enjoyed it! We are hoping to explore more in Pennsylvania again this summer to see whether we can find more gems like this.

    Such a great area. And as i mentioned in a comment on the other video...no one goes here!
    As you come into Moshannon and Elk SF you hit tourist overlaod with the Elk herd...eapecially in the fall
    So glad you got to enjoy this area of PA.

      Elk state forest is my local area! Unfortunately there aren’t many overlanding sites…

      @@Speedbump123 Elk just has the hicks run campground and the two equestrian campgrounds. Moshannon has 13 motorized campsites. But they two are kinda like 2 smaller campgrounds. Sproul and Susquehannock have quite a few motorized campsites spread throughout.
      And of course the Allegheny National Forest is still free and first come first serve

    Where was that very first spot if you don’t mind me asking? After serving our country for over a decade, and still working for the DoD, I’m only now getting to explore my home state of PA as an adult and that spot looks absolutely tranquil. Would love to visit and camp there

      Thanks for your service! That site is a real gem, which makes me hesitant to publish its location publicly. What I can tell you is using the information in the two videos we created including that site plus the fact there are a limited number of reservable sites in that particular state forest should narrow it down so you can locate it. Good luck!

    What campsite was at the beginning??

    • @JourneyBeyondOverland
      @JourneyBeyondOverland  Год назад +3

      I knew someone would ask eventually! That location was so awesome it isn't one I will post publically. But if you listen to both videos that show the site, you can narrow it down by going through the list of reservable campsites in that state forest and likely discover it for yourself. Happy adventuring!

    Enjoyed the video! We have two cabins up off of Montour Road, near Hammersley Wild Area in the Susquehannock State Forest. We take our jeep and our dual sports up there.....such a beautiful place. One minor suggestion, can you not play music while you narrate....I had a hard time hearing you, I found myself reading the subtitles😔

      Definitely a beautiful area. Thank you for the suggestion. I am definitely working on balancing (or completely changing) the audio so it is easier to hear the narration. We still have lots to learn!
