I enjoyed it too but like everything that is fun it is gone in a snap because you had so much fun. The same was for me when WotLK ended it was like a part of my childhood died with Arthas. Always cherrish the moments where you have fun.
@@DerNesor by far? i'd say it's pretty much in the midle for me, its definitely not bad but i'd say for an expansion to be that good it would have to have almost everything just right... and to me the only expansion to ever pull that off is MoP: it had good raids, good PVP (yes almost all classes were broken, but because they were all broken i feel it was still ballanced ^^") had alot of side content to go for (pet battles were introduced, and while not for everyone i feel they at least tried) tons of new factions, of wich alot were optional and just in case you felt like it... wich i did ^^, leishen is still one of the best mid-expansion bosses ever created certainly on par with bosses like yoggsaron, new class in the form of monk wich tbf they litterally destroyed in the next few expansions (lets hope the talent trees save them in dragonflight) i'd say legion is mid tier, it's definitely better then drizzle like WoD or BFA, but more along the lines of cataclysm i feel, not bad persé what really dragged it down for me was the grind for artifact power... that was fun for maybe 2 weeks seeing what you could get, and getting those artifact relic thingies, but much like the amulet right after, the big issue with the artifacts was that you grinded for weeks, and then got to throw your weapon in the bank... not too mention that not all artifacts were made equal... i played alot of DK in legion, and the diffrence between the unholy weapon and the frost weapon was like day and night... i think i'd rate it about 4th best, right behind cata, but definitely in front of shadowlands the total list being 1: mists of pandaria 2: wrath 3: cataclysm 4: legion 5: shadowlands 6: TBC 7: WoD 8: BFA
To this day I level my alts in Legion timewalk, and I get surprised every time at how good, fun, deep, diverse, beautiful is. The 4 levelling zones have great quest flow and then dungeons are short and sweet. The class halls and class weapons are so cool when you have different alts. Even the missions are engaging and fun to do. And then there is the magnificent artwork which is Suramar and its quest line. My favorite quest line in the game. Onyxia quest line has a special place in my heart, but Suramar blows it out of the water. Even the dungeons in Suramar are amazing, including the Elisande / Gul'dan raid.
That's the result of good characters, and it isn't the first time it hapoens in WoW, back in Vanilla and TBC, both Horde and Alliance had a huge, HUGE respect for Thrall, due to his character and backstory. On my server at the time, it was to the point you had people coming from all over the in-game world in defense of Orgrimmar when it was under attack, because Thrall is Thrall, hahaha. And indeed the same can be said for Varian, he's a badass character in all respects.
This song, combined with two of the most powerful and complex characters of WoW lore teaming up against the legion...it was such a wonderful moment in the cinematic. And they completely wasted it by killing of one and ruining the other.

Everyone constantly jumps to how annoying artifact power and the legendary RNG were in this expansion, and I grant them that! But come on, this is the narrative height of WoW. The music, the zone design. We finally settle the score with the *god damned Burning Legion.* I will always love this expansion.

the story was okay, but the grind for the weapons sucked donkey ass and at the end of it, it just became useless xD
And it should have ended hear to finish with a blast and a lore-friendly closing, finishing the Legion.
